I gotta get me one of those... But then BZP will have a contest and I could get one for free. Anywho, I want protector Makuta. Anyone else think he could build an Exo-suit a la the Exo-Toa? That way we could have a titan and a Protector. On a side note, Ekimu had a gear on his back in the animation while other Protectors/villagers do not. Maybe they have an Ekimu figure in the works that is a Protector with a gear function?

Was the Vahi being "half a mask" speculation, or was that actually mentioned? (sorry, it was hard to keep track of what was fact or not when this thread exploded). Interesting thing about the Temple of Time: On BZP's video of the presentation, when they showed the slide that featured the Temple of Time (the slide that was omitted from the list on the Facebook post), they kinda mumbled to each other. Sounded like they asked if they should mention it, with the reply "they'll figure it out". Or something like that. Seems the Temple of Time is going to be pretty important. I'm curious to see what becomes of it.

"Protectors" as in the village leaders. The ones we're getting as sets. An all-male society would be weird. Speaking of, should we just call the normal villagers "Matoran" or a basic name like... "Villagers"?

I'm all for love. It was dumb to get rid of it in the first place just due to its obvious presence in media. If anything, I'd like them to just not mention the subject. Just leave it up to the fans. But outright denying its existence is stupid. But here's the question: which Protectors are male and which are female? Maybe they're all male (or female for that matter)? And are the Toa going to be brothers and sister like in days of old? Unless we get some normal villagers, our shipping has been limited!

Interesting new bios. Not much more info, but it does confirm that the masks control elements. Not sure what to think of that, but I guess it does simplify things a bit. But what do the gold masks do? Just amplify their elemental powers? Also, one of Kopaka's powers is Frost Sphere. Guess that's what we saw in the presentation slide. ^I was thinking the same thing. After all, Mixels is doing just that.

If they spread out the action it could work. I imagine there'll be a few episodes explaining the story and being more Protector focused before the Toa come. And then each Toa will have maybe two or so episodes of them getting their Gold Masks. I can't imaging it'll be a one-and-done deal where a Toa gets their Gold Mask in a single episode.

Little late on the conversation, but in regards to a movie, I would prefer to keep the 2D Flash animation. It seems to be the style they're going with, and I'd like it if they stayed consistent. Plus, it'd be great to just wallow in the artistic style for an hour or so...

Honestly, I feel the webisodes will be just fine. I don't think the story really requires an entire TV series. What I wonder is how long the collective episodes will be if someone strung 'em together as a sort of "movie".

Wow! That's sweet. Simple, yet dramatic. Question, though: can axels get stuck inside of it? Like if you put a 2 stud axle through one of the side holes and through a gear? Much like how the same thing could happen with Rahkshi bodies? Also, did anyone catch BZP's interviews? One of them said that the narrator changes his voice a bit for different characters in the animations, and Pohatu's is particularly awesome. I swear, if he does an Australian accent, I'll flip.

If I recall correctly, Toa Ahkmou would've replace Takanuva in '08. He would've been hit by a Shadow Leech and turned into a Toa of Shadow.

For Bio15, the Gold Masks were described to allow the Toa to unlock their full potential. With no mention of what powers the Toa have to begin with, who knows what the "full potential" relates to. For that matter, there hasn't even been mention of mask powers yet (though the shielding for Kopaka seems intriguing). Not necessarily. Masks can't be forged from more than one element. Whether or not that relates to mask powers remains to be seen (like I said, no mention of mask powers). Honestly, this whole element/mask power ordeal of how it all works is kinda confusing. Need more info.

It's all good. I'd love to see the end result. While on the topic of carving pumpkins, can anyone get screenshots from the animations? I can't seem to find pictures of the Masks of Creation and Control. And for that matter, I'd just love to have screenshots.

I still need to carve them (and make a pattern, for that matter), but once they're done I'll be sure to show 'em off. Considering we only have an image of the Mask of Control from the animations, I'll be carving the cartoon versions of the masks. Not that this is a bad thing.

The Gatling Gun seems pretty simple. The inside yellow bit rotates around via turning a gear. There's probably a nub that gets under the stud and flings it out. So the inside bit moves, not the actual gun barrels. EDIT: My thought's were correct. They do work that way. Thanks for confirming, Aanch! On a side note, I figured out what I'll carve on my Halloween pumpkins: the Masks of Creation and Control. I haven't carved a Bionicle mask in years.

So how about when posing the head? They seem pretty fragile with the mask being connected on the front and the eject button on the back. Is there any special way to grip the head to where the mask doesn't come off? Or is that even a problem?

I don't know. All this Vahi speculation (on my part) is making my head hurt. I have a habit of analyzing things to figure stuff out. Right now, though, I think I'll just enjoy the reboot and watch how things play out.

Reading up on the Vahi on Biosector01. 1) The Vahi was damaged and leaked energy, affecting life around it. 2) It can't be used for time travel. 3) Last we saw of it, Voporak had it and took it to Spherus Magna. Make of that what you will. So far, the Vahi is the only connection we could have between the two universes. Also, the Vahi is one of three legendary masks along with Life and Creation. In the new universe, Ekimu has Creation. Ultimate Power is kind of like Life? And if the Vahi is half a mask... Couple it with Makuta's Mask of Control and you have what? Time Control. BAM! EDIT: The Mask of Time can't be controlled by any normal being. But Makuta has the Mask of Control now, so....

I have mixed feelings. Cool that they may be tying in the old story. But I don't want more than a reference. And I certainly don't want the Toa in the Nuvaverse (we'll roll with those names) to be the same as in the Mataverse. Nothing was said about that, but considering they wake up not knowing who they are? Seems like they could be time travelers with amnesia. What would be cool is if they learn to act as a team by discovering some ancient depiction of the Mataverse Toa. Maybe the Nuvaverse Toa are time clones or something created due to a mishap with the Vahi. On the other hand, I still want this to be a separate entity. I like where it's going, and I don't want it muddied by Bionicle's awesome-yet-convoluted story.
