Even though some things are very clear, and CCBS is such a basic building system that it's easy to differentiate between bones and shells. I see no problem speculating on it. Sure, some things may change, but I think that's what's great about it: I see transparent parts in the pictures. Will they stay? I sure hope so. Also, the parts go in both. Recolored HF parts go with Hf. Masks and things go in Bionicle.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (Video Game Discussion)
Kalhiki replied to The Joker1's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Hi, I'm new to the topic. Anywho, this game looks great, and the inclusion of a Batman Beyond DLC is amazing. But the name "Batman of the Future" got me thinking. Any chance we'll see The Dark Knight Returns stuff (DLC or otherwise) in the game? I'd love to drive around in the Bat Tank. -
That's it! I knew it looked familiar, and now that you say it, yeah, it does. Well, the cheeks anyway. Bionicle reboot: Vultraz is the new Mata Nui and wears a crown.

I don't think they'd have evil Toa (not yet at least). Toa are supposed to be the Heroes and marketing ones that are evil... I just don't see that going over to well. Antrozek, your drawings are fantastic. Especially Lewa's. I kinda wish they'd look like that in the sets, but they seem like they'll be more organic in shape than the geometric, stylized angles you gave them. Also, Gali's weapon. I still see a giant battle axe, myself. Which would work, I guess, considering Gali Nuva had axes.

I wouldn't say so. Constraction sells enough to keep itself alive, so I don't think IFB sold any worse than previous HF waves. But at the same time, I don't think it did amazingly better. I figure Bionicle's return has been in the works for a while, and now that it's ready, they decided to release it.
-
All signs point yes. Haven't seen anything in terms of leaks, and with Bionicle's return it seems all focus would be put on that. And most people don't see Lego running two Constraction themes at once, either. Constraction has never been incredibly popular.

Found these guys at Target. Picked up Scorpi, Glurt, and Mesmo. All of them are fantastic. Mesmo's hat eyebrows <3

I don't think we're getting another wave, unfortunately.

I don't mind if the Defenders all share the same mask, but only if they're all part of some kind of team. It would be a nice unifying feature. If they're all just random Matoran, ehhhh....

I took a look at the box display picture again. Nothing new to report, but I did get little excited kick. Sometimes it takes a bit for me to realize this is happening. Bionicle is coming back. And on that note, time to add to the hype: ONLY 4 WEEKS TILL NEW YORK COMIC CON!!! Hope to see a reveal!

15 for LOSS, eh? Happy he's cheap. Sad he's not a bigger figure. Gonna be kinda awkward with three Toa larger than him. Otherwise, yeah. What I was expecting. But I'm still hoping Lewa is Air/Wind. Jungle's just... Not Lewa to me. Maybe he'll have Air as a secondary power. Or the Miru will be changed to a Mask of Air. Though if he is Jungle, I guess that confirms a reboot?

And there's the problem. Any music by an existing band has a small chance of a free download. But what about completely original music? Like releasing the scores to any games or potential TV shows/movies. I'd like to see that. I'm still a little sad we never got an official release of the score to Mask of Light or any of the other movies for that matter. As for the type of music, yeah. Definitely needs to stick to its roots. MNOG probably had the best soundtrack in Bionicle, and I'd like to see more stuff like that.

Ninjago's getting a CD release of the TV soundtrack. Maybe we'll get lucky and Bionicle will have some kind of popular media that merits an album. Or they could just release the music in the Downloads section of the Bionicle website. They used to do that, if I recall.

Favourite and least favourite Western films & discussion
Kalhiki replied to Godtshep's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Don't know about least favorite, but my favorite is definitely Rango. Loved that movie. Lone Ranger was good, too. And Cowboys and Aliens. ... Actually, I think that's all the Westerns I've seen. No wonder I don't have a least favorite. -
All this talk about settings makes me realize how good a choice Spherus Magna would be. Then we have a whole planet to explore with plenty of room to wedge in new environments and regions.

All the Toa were like that in MNOG. They just kinda showed up when they were needed and then left. I liked that. It added to the whole mystery of the Toa. I hope they're treated like that again. They go on adventures, but show up to save the village when the time comes.

There should just be a big Lego artbook with sketches and stuff from various themes... On topic, it's cool to see all the references stuffed into these sets. Makes them all the more entertaining.

That looks sweet. Man, I miss the comics...

I'll never be able to think of Pohatu the same way again. Australian Pohatu would kick megablocks. Which makes me think of voices, which makes me think of voice actors, which makes me think of TV shows. As much as I would like Bionicle to have a full-fledged series (not HF's once-a-year episodes), I just don't see it happening for some reason. But what about an online series? Like the Bohrok and Bohrok-Kal animations? That would be fun to see.

LEGO put it on their website. I'm sure they were prepared for someone to find it eventually.

Despite the lightning, it doesn't appear to have any mouth hole. I vote a top-down connection. Which I don't mind considering it looks like a crown anyway. Also, love the intricate detailing on the horns. Almost looks like writing, giving it a very ancient feeling. Hope that's not just there for the picture and it'll carry over to the set.

That's insane. Easily one of my favorite mask designs and much better than the one from the box display.

They could do something along the lines of some of the Toa Mahri which had a trans-blue visor piece underneath the mask. EDIT: Also, just noticed: the Earth Defender has a purple upper leg bone.

Future DC & Marvel Character as Ultrabuilds
Kalhiki replied to ShadowWolfHount's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Now that you mention it, Shakar, Ultron would be sweet. And Deathstroke. And for that matter, Deadpool. I'd be satisfied with them.- 19 replies
