  1. ... Not sure if joking...? Seen it before. Confirmed as a (pretty obvious) fake. I really hope pics come soon. Not because I'm desperate. More because then all the "give me leaks" comments will stop.
  2. Blade Cruiser. I vote Blade Cruiser.
  3. I couldn't help but giggle a bit. These are so wonderfully wacky; right up my alley. I absolutely can't wait for official set picture. Thanks for the drawings! The Robo Horso isn't too bad. Was worried at first from the sound of "Technic liftarm legs," but it seems to be integrated pretty well.
  4. I thought they fixed those... Hm. Or the issue was the Spinjitzu spinner... In any case, I'm kinda glad the robots are brick built and not minifigures. Just for some variation.
  5. Ah, alright. Hm... I think I'll be passing on these Dragons unless pictures convince me. I was cautiously optimistic, so no big loss, and I was never too into this theme to begin with.
  6. First off, thanks for the descriptions! Secondly: Steampunk. Yes or No?
  7. "Girlish head" "Anime Eyes" So... We're talking, like, cartoon-y dragons, right? I can't really think of a good comparison, but the only thing that comes to mind is maybe something from Disney. Cutesy, round head with two large, forward-facing eyes on the top of the head. Is that accurate?
  8. This is shaping up to be pretty neat. Mobile castle sounds cool. Can't wait to hear more! Oh, and you said your friend talked more about Elves. Mind going to that thread and spilling some info? (If you haven't already. I haven't checked)
  9. Does the Nexo Lama fight the Robo Horse? Interesting names. Mech King and the Library sound cool.
  10. Thing is, I'd also like to somewhat follow the official story. So Makuta is still asleep/dormant. Maybe the Skull Spiders themselves pilot the Skull Mechs... Or at least infect and control them.
  11. What does Lego usually do at NYCC? Do they have multiple set reveals or is it mainly focused on just one theme? I guess I was just too Bionicle-focused last year to pay attention to if they had anything else on display.
  12. Collection's complete. Got the Ocean HQ a few days ago. Beautiful set and great construction. I don't care that it doesn't float, it looks superb. It's like the Mobile HQ became a boat. All the compartments that can open up is a nice touch. I especially like the 'garage door' at the top and opening it up to reveal the twin gatling guns. Probably my favorite bit, though I haven't even fired the guns yet. Having all those studs fly everywhere... So yeah. It's sad this wave was cut short. But if you ever get the chance to pick up these sets for a reasonable price, I'd say go for it.
  13. Last year was also the reveal of the first wave for a returning popular theme. Not saying it couldn't happen, but this year it's just... Another wave of sets. Plus, with the new big bang theme Nexo Knights and Star Wars VII (yeah, we've seen the sets, but Lego could still promote it) coming soon, I'm not sure how high Bionicle would be on the priority list for NYCC.

  15. Thanks! I figure the Skulls would be mechs... But I guess they'd be the Skull guys piloting Mechs that looked like themselves...? I don't know. And I have no idea about LOSS or if he even exists in this... Universe, I guess you could say. Though I did contemplate the idea that the Skull Spiders all combine into a giant massive Spider Monster.
  16. If the world is a giant robot, I would be unimpressed, and it would be very lazy writing. You don't make a big reveal by reusing the same big reveal.
  17. So Grievous is fantastic. Just got him today. The size is still impressive despite having seen how large he is from pictures. The tan is great, and that head sculpt. Of all specialized Lego pieces, Grievous' head is the winner. It's lovely. But the one little unexpected thing that's the icing on the cake: the shoulders. How I adore these shoulders. The ability to move the shoulder assembly forward and back is such an expressive bit of pose-ability. Putting his shoulders forward, arms connected and folded behind his back is one of my favorite poses I've put him in (oh, if only he had a cape). Then, just move his shoulders back, split his arms, give him his lightsabers, and he's ready for battle. Yeah, this is the figure to get. I love it.
  18. Totally fake. Mega Blocks Neo Shifters parts are all over that thing. ... To the point where it could be a Neo Shifter.
  19. In terms of Bionicle, I think part of the reason could be that people form an idea of how a character sounds in their head. So when a movie or form of media comes out and the character's voice doesn't match how a person imagined, that can lead to some distaste. Of course, I'm sure that's not the only reason. I can't really speak for others, so I don't know. Personally, I can't really say. It's been to long, and can't remember how I felt about the voices in TLR. And like I already said, I enjoy the voices in 2015's animations. In general, one of the main ways I judge good/bad voice acting: If I can picture the guy in the recording studio doing the voice instead of a character on-screen delivering his lines, then it's bad. Or if it's just bad acting in general. Acting. Not the voice. Voices can be perfect, but if the VA doesn't deliver his lines properly and naturally, then it becomes hard to watch... Or listen to.

  21. You're not alone. I don't mind Ekimu's voice nor do I mind the use of only one voice actor. I don't know if he's done any voice acting work outside of narrating commercials, but he's done a fantastic job of throwing his voice and giving the characters a variety of tones. The way I see it, things could have been much worse.
  22. Thanks for all the comments, guys! Despite having no knowledge about Gundam, I did draw inspiration from some of the mech designs. So you're not entirely wrong. And I was wondering how long it'd take for someone to notice the Kakama chest motif. Not long, apparently. :P Haven't decided if I'll do the other Toa. Most likely, if I feel up to it. Let's just say I have some ideas. ;) Onua or Lewa would be next if I do decide to do more...
  23. Excellent! Was wondering when these were going to be released. Glad to see they should be coming out soon.
  24. In order to fight the impending darkness, the Protectors of Okoto harness the powers of space and time to bring forth mighty, fighting machines to their once peaceful island. Nilkuu claims the Stone-Type, naming him Pohatu. Pohatu is made from a strong, lightweight alloy that not only makes him fast, but also well protected against enemies and the harsh desert environment. He also wields two high-powered rifles that can fire great distances and reduce its targets to rubble. Thanks to these abilities, when paired with Pohatu, Nilkuu can come across as somewhat of a loner and over confident in his abilities. But he's not completely invincible. His weapons require a clean line of sight, which is often impeded during the night or in dark areas. No shading and no highly-detailed Nilkuu because I'm laaazzzyyy!
  25. Wow, those are slick! Would not mind at all if we got anything close to that (though some are pretty radical: farthest right Pohatu and four armed Lewa are kinda throwing me).
