I still want to see the Toa with giant, Hordika-style weapon arms. Either that or G1-esque weapons. Loved the sheer simplicity of some of them. Gali with hooks was pure win.

Good points, Aanch, though personally I'd still enjoy Takanuva in G2. Maybe because I'm a big Transformers fan where nameslaps and re-written character histories are a commonality (for instance, Blurr from Armada being a character who rarely speaks as opposed to his fast-talking G1 counterpart). So I guess it wouldn't bother me if Takanuva's history was re-written to the point of "not being the same character".

A while back I brought up the idea of a female Takanuva, which was shot down due to the idea of potentially alienating the older fans. And I agree to a certain extent. I could see a lot of characters working with a gender swap. But as Shakar said, a lot of people wouldn't be so keen. Better safe than sorry, I guess.

I've never ever had any of my CCBS pieces loose friction. I mean, yeah, some may be looser than others, but it's very slight to the point of being unnoticeable. Fresh out of the box, they're really tight and squeak when they move. That's gone, but the parts aren't loose to where it's a problem. And I own pretty much every CCBS set (Ultrabuilds aside) including some extras for parts. Never had an issue. I felt the need to say that since I've seen other people make comments about looseness. Like, how loose are the parts to those who have the problem? Scale of 1-10. 1 being 'collapses under the set's own weight' and 10 being 'fresh-out-of-the-box squeaky tight.'

Oh yes, that too. Just depends on how Lego wants to go about things; if they want to keep the original sizes of the Toa from the first wave. But I could totally go for a smaller-sized Kopaka.

My thoughts exactly, right down to the shell-shield. Also, I've been thinking about Kopaka and Melum and how the sets will look. I really hope Melum doesn't cheat Kopaka out of parts. It felt like that was the case with Ekimu and Kulta where Ekimu got a nice filled-in design and Kulta was a little... empty (yeah, he's a skeleton, but let's face it. He's pretty bland in terms of build). But that's mainly due to Ekimu being more like a small $15 set and Kulta being a large $15 set. Basically, I just hope the sizes of the sets are well divided. Melum as a $10 set and Kopaka at $20.

I feel if we are getting new masks, they'd be the original G1 mask powers. Seems like a logical upgrade to me. I mean, if the Toa are getting upgraded bodies, might as well give 'em some new powers.

Round armor piece came in black in Toxic Reapa. ;) So yeah, they both came in black.

Well, while everyone is gushing over the SW Constraction sets today, I'm going to pop in here and say that seeing those sets really gives me high hopes as to the potentiality of getting larger figures in Bionicle. All of them are taller than Tahu, so it's not out of the question that we could get larger villain characters in the future.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again: My god. Grievous is massive. That shot with Tahu is insane. This will definitely be the first of the new sets I get. But it won't be complete until I sew him a cape. Thanks for the review! I look forward to reading the others.

No need to get upset *pats you on the back* Though I imagine it got overlooked since it was already posted on the previous page. ;)

Hope I get the chance to go shopping this weekend. Glad to hear Grievous has been so well received!

The reason why I'm thinking fusions is mainly because why Lava? Why Storm? Why Quake? They have elemental-esque names unlike this year's Skull dudes. And it just sounds like the result of combining two elements together. That, and it's been said in the story that combining Elements isn't a smart idea, and I want that fact to come into play more in the story.

I'll never get over how big Grievous is. I can't wait to get my hands on the set.

Keep in mind that these could still be summer sets (I figure they are since I doubt we'll be getting two Umaraks in the same wave). And what are the chances the summer wave will carry over to the next winter wave to give us the remaining Beasts? I don't believe that has ever happened. So I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get the remaining three elements. I'm still inclined to believe these are fusions. Storm is still Water and Ice, Lave is still Fire and Stone. Which leaves Jungle and Earth making up Quake. Earth is pretty obvious. But the only reasoning I can think of for Jungle is that trees are strong and roots break up the ground. Plus, Earth and Jungle in a creature form would pretty much give us a walking landmass. After all, earthquakes are just moving pieces of land.

Oh my Lord. I'm not sure what to think. I'm partly disturbed. Maybe because I'm thinking that they'd still be able to mix.

Quake, eh? That sounds like it could be pretty cool. Though it kinda goes against the idea of Creature fusions. If they do turn out to be fusions, Jungle would really be the odd one out since Jungle doesn't really have a place in Lava, Storm, or Quake. So I guess Quake would fill out the Earth slot. I guess it could also work as a stone-based character. Lava would definitely be Fire. And I guess Storm would almost have to be Water? I guess Ice could also work...

Post about Cartoons and Anime you like
Kalhiki replied to Peppermint_M's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Himouto! Umaru-Chan is probably my favorite show this season. Just started watching recently, but I love it. Very funny. Though it's making me want to be a lazy bum. I should stop making anime characters my role models... In other news, OMG KYOUSOUGIGA IS GETTING A BLU RAY RELEASE THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER!!! Ahem. Sorry. All time favorite anime. I'm excited.
