  1. Great, thanks for the clarification. All the CAD prices for this wave are still appearing as "-" on Brickset. It's a rare treat and a relief to read about something being cheaper than expected in this thread for a change! With the CAD lower than usual against the USD I was fearing the worst. But I guess also the piece counts are lower than what I thought they were. Re: Hux's hair, I'm using an extra Starlord hairpiece (Guardians of the Galaxy) and the color/style seems to fit well, too.
  2. Just noticed the new March listings for Star Wars Lego on the official shop website in Canada. Somehow everything's coming up $29.99 CAD. That seems... low. Aren't these sets all $24.99 in the US? I was expecting to pay about $39.99 for the escape pod and the carbon freezing chamber(s) up here in this godforsaken tundra. Hope these are the real prices in CAD.
  3. The Eclipse Freighter set is growing on me - though I'm not sure I'll watch the show. I had enough of Droid Tales halfway through the second episode. CGI Slapstick with Lego figs just ain't doin' it for me. Having said that, the build of the freighter looks solid and the little bulldozer that comes with it is neat. Best of all - the lady fig's skin complexion is much closer to screen-accurate Sabine, which will be great to swap out for. IMHO.
  4. Is it a joke - because it looks like it was designed by the same crack team of specialists that assembled the Attack on Hoth!
  5. How soon until we get those instructions released? May have to 'salvage' but I know I've got most of the pieces lying around for that power generator...
  6. Attack on Hoth at last. I don't recall waiting this long for a visual reveal - ever. Sadly, as others have stated, it's a mash up of all previous releases, save the ion cannon and shield generator, which should go pretty cheap as parts on Bricklink. The exploding function of the shield generators is awesome, should be a very easy mod to extend them to 4 from 3. Then we'll have something for our AT-ATs to aim at. *Rubs hands together in anticipation of the 75098 instructions PDF!*
  7. The cast of the Freemason Adventures conveys a rather surprising lack of diversity.
  8. Maybe I'm in the minority here but I'm pretty satisfied with Encounter of Jakku set. But this set includes Plutt's little 'portion' stand which is a major part of the first act of the film. Outstanding. Are those little 1x1 studs supposed to indicate the ration packs? Hopefully not - I'm thinking white 2x2 tiles with homemade decals should do the trick. The actual structure - I'm hoping it has a semblance of an exterior - sadly it looks, from first glance, to only feature an interior. The awning is great - will need probably 11 more of them to build the whole structure. I wonder if the alternate side of the top part features another awning? It's a little too high. No flick fire missles??? Maybe TLG is learning. At last. They'd put flick fires on an ice cream stand. Tell me about it. Walking the toy shops after Xmas I'm not seeing much from the TFA wave besides some Kylo Ren shuttles. Even the TIEs and X Wings sold that many? Sometimes we get a restock... is this not happening for the TFA wave? I used to give myself a 1.5-2 year window to pick up a kit that I really wanted but maybe couldn't afford yet. I wonder if we are seeing a shift in TLG's production/distribution model.
  9. In addition to her enduring/increasing popularity, we've only had TCW style gigantic eyes so far. It would be the first Ahsoka LEGO minifig to have normalized eyes. That's why we are mad for an updated Ahsoka. Personally I won't be satisfied until we see a TCW era version of Ahsoka with normal eyes as well as Rebels-era... time will tell. It's fascinating to me that we still see TCW-era releases coming down the pipeline from TLG.
  10. Disney is on record as stating they will no longer continue to make Slave Leia merchandise of any kind. I wouldn't count on seeing Jabba's Palace ever again either, for an entirely different reason. Did anyone else hope/expect Rebels Rex to look like this? Good news is, an easy fix if you have a spare beard lying about.
  11. I need your optimism, good sir. These are salient observations. Just realized how crazy blue that luggabeast is!
  12. Did any of us really expect the prices to be reasonable?? Start lowering (raising?) your expectations. Or just get another job... one just to fund this wave of Lego! That little dinky vaporator on Jakku (X Wing) is pretty minimal, though. Glad I'm not in the market for another ST-era X Wing.
  13. Sabine blue hair confirmed! There appears to be no helmet... lol. :) The camber of the A Wing wings is nice... but 1 stud thick? Hmmm... Love the smaller size of the Turbo Tank. For those of us that are space poor - that's just the ticket. By contrast Rex's AT-TE looks big... maybe just the angle? Awwww.... no Big Bongo!! (joopa) Jakku build is... surprisingly substantial. Wow, I'm very impressed TLG. Awnings and a few vendor spaces it looks like. Maybe even Plutt's portion station?? Outstanding. Maybe we'll get those portion pieces after all! EDIT: Just saw the video... Teedo has an elongated head!
  14. Eyewitness reports to confirm elements of these sets until pictures leak is the best we're going to get. Are there any specific questions we can ask to those in attendance? Sabine: Does she come with blue hair, helmet, or both? Rex: How do they handle his beard - printed or Santa Claus piece? Any familiar faces in the Story Time Adventures (shudder) series? Describe the structures in the Jakku Encounter. Does it include the Hutt-styled gate to the outpost? Anyway - anyone with Nuremberg eyes that can help us out would be 'pitty hot' to put it as Jar Jar might.
  15. Oh yeah, there's some rad stuff on their Twitter feed: https://twitter.com/zusammengebaut (makes popcorn...)
  16. A Google cache of the page is available. It's nothing even remotely revealing - mostly pics of Lego presenters and some giant displays.
  17. Venkefedo, you are absolutely correct that Teedo would trade at the market - I was overthinking it. And yes, even if we don't get "official" tile portions, they should be fairly easy decals to make. Outstanding idea. Did You Know: Teedo (according to the visual dictionary) is a name assigned to both individuals as well as the collective race. Referencing the Teedo and one Teedo are singular in grammar. Weird, eh? I'm so happy we are getting a Teedo figure. Teedo's head is elongated. Wonder if we'll get a new mouled head piece or the standard print on a regular head. "That's just Teedo. He's no respect for anyone." - Rey
  18. Great job on the upper wench! Awesome build. I wonder if TLG is ever going to give us enough pieces to make a complete scene? ;) It amazes me that x2 kits is not enough for a complete circle though. Hoping that 2 kits plus lots of extra parts is enough for me to do the same. Thanks for sharing, BalrogJ.
  19. I don't get the Luggabeast being in the same set as Plutt and the (supposed) marketplace. It's awesome that we're getting a Jakku build but - the "encounter" with Teedo takes place out near Rey's AT-AT Bungalow so I don't really get it... sure she is attacked again at the market (When Finn shows up) but it's elements from two completely different scenes. I'm sure the box art will depict the following, a la TLG's penchant for battle scenes: Rey fighting back against the thugs who are using a net to capture BB8. Here's hoping we get Unkar's little kiosk where he hands out portions to scavengers. That would be kind of great, actually. "One quarter portion."
  20. That's a beaut. Been working on something similar... but no where near enough spare grey bricks about!! "At this very moment, in a system far from here the New Republic LIES to the GALAXY!!"
  21. Oh no!! Guavian Enforcer/Death Gang Member would be an abysmal choice for May the Fourth... especially for those of us hoping to build a little gang of them. How about a one-off, at least, not something we need five or six of. Let it be the Crimson Corsair! I too am skeptical of these prelims being legit. With all the material coming out via Rebels and TFA, I can't believe they are freelancing these completely unrelated mysterious ADVENTURES kits. It's nice how the A-Wing is sporting tail wings at a slight camber. Have we figured out what the space station is in the background of the first two pics?
  22. It's a great build and really nice photos, wonderfully done! Mustafar is one of those places TLG rarely takes us to, expect that one time in 7257 (2005) Ultimate Lightsaber Duel, which doesn't address the feeling and the atmosphere of the planet like this scene. Cheers.
  23. Very nicely done and I like how you've handled the corridors of the Eravana. I too am working on this scene - and trying to figure out the best way to cobble together a brick built rathrar. Lots of teeth + tentacles.
  24. Yes, as Darth_Brick360 says, just get one used and complete to be certain. Don't make yourself crazy calculating the odds. Consider also sometimes a kit probable to have defective pieces may only have been shipped to certain countries/areas, etc. so it's really a roll of the die any way you cut it via your local retail distribution. Used, the stickers may be poorly applied but at least the moulds should be intact - if you have an honest seller. Oh, and welcome back into collecting Lego!
