  1. Well, if you are lucky and find a good deal all sets are affordable so it depends. I got my 8461 for about 100 euro and my 8285 for 110 euro. I was lucky because I love this sets. I think the Racer series is valuable and ofc all of the epic flagships like 8043, 8258, 8275 and so on.
  2. Great review and great pictures ! Many thanks for talking the time to review this set . I am a fan of LEGO Technic construction stuff, but this set is not so appealing to me. But, then again I am sure some people will love it.
  3. Very nice models you got there ed-orange, I wish i could build a trailer for my 42043 too bad I have only one . As far as the coupling for the trailer I think the Merc is a little taller then 8258, I have both of them and if I look at the chassis they are not the same height.
  4. Hmm, as I own all of them I can say the Mercedes 42043 is overall the best. It has suspensions, it has some power functions, it has the new pneumatic elements, it has 12 wheels, it looks very good and it is a great parts pack. I just got 42030 and it did not impress me to much, yes it is RC and has a nice bucket but thats all. So I would say a big +1 for the Arocs.
  5. 42030 at 110 euro counts ? Seeing your deals, not so much, but still it was a good deal
  6. Great reviews, thank you for taking the time and making those awesome reviews !
  7. Great review Jim, pictures awesome as always ! I am not a big fan of helicopters, but this set looks good ! Many thanks !
  8. Very very cool fire truck, love the looks and the functions. But the fact that it sprays water is amazing !
  9. Very nice working place you got there, I must admit that I envy you . Happy MOCing.
  10. Hey guys, I have a question, do these or these wheels fit the rims on the 42030 ? I want some soft wheels to replace the original ones. Many thanks !
  11. Very nice scene indeed and great looking machinery you go there !
  12. Flexible axles are so cool, the only set that I have that uses them is the F1 William Racer and it look waaaay better then 42000.
  13. Pannels are only used on the body of the models, so I am ok with that. As long as the set is complex and technic enough I appreciate a good design and a good looking body.
  14. I think the one you posted is perfect, I think yo would fit the 8043 just fine. Oh, I think I am looking for a semi-trailer.
  15. Hey guys ! I want to build a trailer for my 8258 Crane Truck and I have to idea which one to build (one of the existing MOCs as I do not have any talent in building one myself). I want to modify the 8258 as little as possible, so the trailer should fit the truck perfectly. Can you please recommend me a trailer that could carry 8043 and that could fit to 8258 ? Thanks !
  16. That looks awesome ! Congrats for the work put in that mosaic, all the details are great . How many pieces are there ?
  17. Wow, that looks so good, I love the details off the engine  . Congrats !
  18. Nice pictorial review, I always like this little set ! A little more text would have been nice but that is ok as it is . PS: You should have mentioned in the title that this topic is picture heavy - I was wondering why it was loading so slow on my mobile
  19. I am a very slow builder, I do not like to hurry when building a Lego set, I like to take my time and enjoy the built. 42009 took me about 12 hours to build, in 3 separate days.
  20. 42009 was the first set Technic set that had the instructions in one booklet, but only the latest models of the crane got that, my copy has 6 booklets but I bought it as soon as the set appeared on shelvs.
  21. The Go Cart looks cool, like the colors very much. The rest is ok, but nothing extraordinary.
  22. Well, between those two I would get 42000, it is an interesting model with nice parts. Also, it will soon retire.
  23. Stunning building, the details are just incredible !
  24. For me, Wall-E is the best.
