  1. Very nice review ! Many thanks for it . As for the bike, i am somehow dissapointed by the side looks, i was expecting more pannels maybe ? Other than that, I can't wait to get the BMW when I see it at a discount price.
  2. If you find the Volvo loader you should get it, it is a good set and maybe you can find it at some discount. I would advise you to buy some 3rd party wheels for the loader, it would look much better with them. The Class is very good too, but it will still be on the shelfs for some time.
  3. 250 euro for those sets is a very good price imho, only 8258 makes it worth buying them. 8070 is nice too !
  4. Between those three I would buy the Mercedes for sure, it has a lot of pneumatic parts and other cool stuff on the side.
  5. I would go for the 42056 Porsche because of the looks and the new parts. In my opinion it looks awesome even though the functions are not that great. One of my fav Technic sets is the 8461 Williams F1 Team just because it looks so sweet
  6. Awesome review ! Although I am not a big fan of this set I really enjoyed reading your review and seeing the detailed information about how this set worked.
  7. Hmm, looking to both side by side I still like the 8043 best, but in the end you can not really compare the two of them, they are both beautiful in their own way.
  8. Just finished building mine today, 5 hours of pure joy of construction (I almost forgot how fun is to build sets w/o gearboxes ). I like the fact that it works like a charm, the V2 pneumatics are as good as in the Merc. It is almost as big as the 8043 excavator, but not so good looking. I got it at around 80 euro so for the price it is a very good set/good way to get your hands on those V2 pneumatic.
  9. Th review and the pics are awesome ! Great job as always Jim . As for the set, I really like it and I think it will turn into a classic one.
  10. If you do not have so much time to play I would go for the Porsche.
  11. I managed to put all my sets with big wheels in the same shelf, the bad part is that I had to remove both the Unimog and the CLASS cranes (btw, the Unimog crane looks awesome on the CLASS).
  12. The Class is indeed a very good set, it has a very nice design and very cool functions. It is also very robust, the chassis does not bend at all when you take in in hand to carry it / play with it. The tires are also very nice, a little softer than the Unimog ones so a bit drippier. If you are not a fan of the crane - no problem it is Lego so you can make it as nice as you want
  13. I got the same problem with my model too, the panels have a slightly different color that some beams. But it is not that noticeable.
  14. Can't wait to read the review even though I already build the set. Always a pleasure to see the photos taken by Jim, they look better than the actual model in front of me :D
  15. My motors work just fine, even the original ones from the 8275 Bulldozer which was the first Technic set that used PF. I think the problems may be the batteries used ?
  16. Very neat chassis ! I like the fact that the body remained the same as the official model.
  17. No, that is how the tires look on the rim.
  18. Very cute indeed ! I have the official Wall-E and I would love to own the Technic version too !
  19. I took some photos of the new tires with the Unimog, it looks much better than with the stock tires. Overall, the tires are very good for heavy machinery, I will make a photo with the Volvo as well. Although I think the Volvo looks awesome with the 3rd party tires that are on it.
  20. Finished the Tractor late last night, still got to build the attachments but now I do not have enough time. Very nice model, like the steering very much ! Took some pics to see the difference with the Unimog tires and 3rd party ones on my 42030 Volvo. They look very good in my opinion !
  21. I would get 8461 for sure. It is a rare and great set. Lots of unique parts and those tires are just awesome.
  22. So much epicness in this review, many many thanks Jim for taking the time to do it ! The set is absolutely outstanding
  23. Just finished the tram and my fingers hurt like hell (I thought putting Technic pieces together is bad, but this is way worse). Other then this, I really like these wooden models, the instructions are clear and very good quality. Getting the little pieces out of the molds is pretty hard, you need some tools to help. The overall models is very interesting and the wooden gears work very good. Here are some pics with it and one compared to 8051 motorbike so you can see the dimensions of the tram.
  24. Many thanks for the pics ! The B model looks good too !
