    Peter, If you think about buying/not buying - somethink you like in 41999. So I advice you to buy it this year, cause this is the only chance to buy it at normal price. Other sets like 42009 are new, and 8110 you have bought already, so you have nothing to lose ths year except 41999. I think you have time about 3 monts at least to think, find financial reserves and buy this set at normal price. This decision is not from designer who in love with his set, but logical.

    Ok, Cant hold it anymore. I have fill this post with pictures. Peter, Look at it again Just imagine: Blue Baltic sea, blue sky, blue crawler and you...:) Are you sure you dont want? Be the men, Just say to yourself: I dont need it, I dont need it, it is too simple and similar to 9398. I dont need it.... (But back-view is nice, right?) :))) May be too sweet, Ok. This will be little bit colder.

    May be new attachment for 42009 chassis (based ob first three instructions)? But This is really hard challenge.

    14 and 25 dollars...if this price usually almost equal toUS S&H, in Europe it would be about 16 and 28 euro That's not much cheaper than BL price:) no surprises and prices will stay almost the same. David, this dont cost all your nerves!

    8110 is the most expensive and is also complex enough for new experience. It also contain suspension and other stuff for offroad vehicle building, but you need additional PF elements to buy. In the USA it is not a problem - the cheapest pruces for PF at official site shop.lego.com

    8110 is the first candidate for buying! Then choose as you want. What do you plalnning to create?

    I agree about number of threads, but cant agree with you about mod Mods was here http://www.us.lego.com/en-us/technic/gallery/?from=1200&to=1220 and this is the new set with own box, own instruction, own number, new functions and slightly other off road capabilities. Just for information: There are 43 topics here containing 9398 in title, including: 1 main with more than 40 pages 6 (!) reviews 16 (!) post about modding Number of post about drivetrain and other problems And other posts...

    Dear MarcusB, That's not about proud and humble, as mentioned. I will do such detailed review with evey set that LEGO will give me for FIRST exclusive review. It is hard work - to do such big reviews with description, fotos and videos, especially when you work on your main work and have family.You will never understand if you will not try it by yourself:) Nothing personal, no offence

    If someone here think that there are too much threads/posts about 41999 - just skip it. What's the problem? You dont have to read any post in this forum.

    Which receiver do you use? V1 ? Why it stucks? It will be very detailed but heavy in the finish...no drift, no life:))) if dont plan drift - its OK;)

    To tell the truth, original metallic silver can be damaged easily. My version does not include some really glamour stuff, but I hope to open them in next less offroad mods:)
