Hi, I decided to open my global Toyota Land cruiser FJ 40 series topic. I did not stopped with two (red and green), so dont want to create new topic for every modification. That is not a secret, I am fan of Toyota and LEGO both! I think, Toyota LC is one of those things, that makes you want to go far from wifi, LEGO and other civil crap... Since the time I have built first FJ40, I dreamed to do such short film of LC in the wild. So here are 4 L-Crusiers and some extra stuff (if you can notice that). Hope you like this short adventure thru my living place in Russia.

This is Awesome truck with shapes. Especially I love the front lights - I want to use it somewhere at my mocs -
I love the exterior work you did. I am truying to imagine in my head 6x6 version and it looks perfect in this scale. If you a real MB fan (as I am with Toyota: have build 7 different FJ's already) I hope you wont stop with this. So we are waiting for new versions. As for the chassis, it is clear that L is not enough. So you can improve it for some real fun. You can use my FJ chassis: it is not ideal, but work good with XL motor with the same scale. If your G is wider than my you can use nice MAP chassis from Sheepo (His MAP is 2 studs wider than my FJ's) Anyways you did a very good job

This is the headshot for "Lego Technic Trophy truck" challenge. Can't imagine someone could build better MOC: chassis, rollcage, body and max performance using modern electric elements. Awesome!

You always wonder us with amazing creations There is a russian fairy tale "Kolobok". It is similar to smile, but It was born long before smile. It is about little round piece of bread (or something cooked), who think that he was the smartest dude. But he was stupid. He died. Foxy did it. But in my memory he is always smiling p.s.You can upgrade Bugroll to "The Critters edition"

thank you for building and posting this truck. If not your post at FB, I can forgot about my Baja Truck video I started and not finished at that moment.. As for design, I know it was built in 1-2 weeks (my was sketched in LDD in April 2014), so the result is very good for such period . You have fun in the park for sure -

First of all, thank you for comments and interest to my MOC. As artist I am happy when viewers like my work. Thats strange, since your used RC components with almost unlimited amperage After offoroad drive I damaged holes and wheel axles. They was not damaged by friction and heat but with small dust and sand pieces. I knew it will happen, so I did not used Wheel hubs for this model, too expensive for one race. Another part but was damaged a lot - front skid plate. This lifatarms have big scratches...I am wondering "where?" Ground glearance was enough even while high jumps... I have tested 2xLiPo with 1 Sbrick - I saw difference in acceleration comparing to 2x Sbricks. About LiPo: I have two LiPo's with shunted thermo resistor and 2 regular stock Lipo's. I found that in this truck it doent matter which one I used (I changed them during filming). Difference is only when starting with highly loaded wheels: uphill, hard offroad terrain or continous drifting... At flat asphalt and even easy offroad both Lipos (shunted and stock) work the same way and reach the same speed. You shoud know that the highest consumption is at accelearting or when something hold the wheels...High speed is not that situatuion. Yes, there is little difference in weight: Double Trouble with 2xSbricks and 2xLIPOs 2xLIPOs = 148 gr Servo = 45 gr 2xSbrick with LEGO 20 cm wire = 38 gr TOTAL = 231 gr BJ Baldwin's truck with RC RADIO UNIT Radio unit = 171 gr 6x 2050 mAh NiMh batteries (as example) = 172 gr TOTAL = 343 gr But on the other hand, controlling such truck with sensor screen is like driving with closed eyes. You can't feel levers/sliders/buttons and can't watch your fingers while driving 10+ km/h. Controlling accelerator is not that hard, but steering is almost unreal: small delays that you can feel only at high speeds, car that easily reach the the border of signal rang. In some footages you can see me running with tablet. I think RC-guys saw this thought am crazy... Sad, but actual versions of SBrick app doesnt support gyroscope controlling (comparing to early beta apps), only touch screen...may be this can help with steering... I will try some more fast cars with SBrick, but my own conclusion: SBrick at current stage is better for construction machines, Trial trucks, middle scale and supercars with relatively LOW speeds. And thats not a problem at all: most of creations with LEGO Technic is complex and slow. Those who want speed - welcome to the RC shop. So, my truck is look like exeriment/challenge. This is not playable MOC at all and I am going to disassemle it as soon as possible. Anyways, Smart Brick is very useful and revolutionary product, "must have" for every Technic builder.
