LEGO 10320 Eldorado Fortress - MOC / MOD Thread
zinnn replied to CAESARBLACK's topic in LEGO Pirates
Has anyone seen any more cool, small yet effective MODs to this set? -
Here's a Studio file for the recent 40597 Scary Pirate Island https://www.mediafire.com/file/hof1jxuiiwhhxni/Scary_Pirate_Island.io/file

almost perfect, but the jacket still looks too modern

Annoying pop up ads in the lower part of the screen

The ads are so annoying, my browser speed is significantly down because of them. -
[OFFICIAL] 40710 LEGOLAND Pirate Splash Battle
zinnn replied to Yperio_Bricks's topic in LEGO Pirates
I honestly don't understand why everyone on this forum is against sharing images here when discussing new leaks - it saves everyone time when we just share them oh and the torso, unfortunately it won't work with classsic pirates setting ;( -
I'm afraid it won't fly in the Pirates setting - the torso is amazing for what it is, but because it has the ID card attached to the belt, it looks too modern for pirates :( Shame

What are the chances this set will be on sale any soon?

Can you share the photos? -
My vote went for 2023 torso. As for the colours, I voted for Green, but I my ideal colour would be Dark Green.

POBB ship is perfection. A ton of nostalgia and a perfect throwback to the og Barracuda, and at the same time packed with new features for the new millennium. The crew is also diverse and beautifully designed. Can’t ask for more.

Has anyone done the GWP set 40597?

What location/scene come to your mind when thinking about Pirates...
zinnn replied to zinnn's topic in LEGO Pirates
I’m on the same page. Hence this thread, I want to expand the setup with some new exciting location for the pirates that is still rooted in the POBB style -

What location/scene come to your mind when thinking about Pirates...

Mainly official sets, I’m sure there are a lot of MOCs that sit outside the box, but yeah - anything new and maybe unusual that still fits the lore -
...that hasn't been explored by Lego yet (<---IMPORTANT) I feel like designing a new set for my Pirates, but I'm not sure what else could be created that hasn't been done before. We've had a ton of caves, shacks, rafts, treasure islands and, obviously, ships - anything else come to your mind that hasn't been done before? Pub is one thing, but there are some nice MOCs out there, anything else?

I have a feeling lots of those Eldorado votes come from folks who missed out on POBB ;)
-
How is this even up for discussion, Pirates of Barracuda Bay is my fav Lego set EVER, Eldorado remake has so many faults it's nowhere near POBB...

Saw this set on Ebay just now with the Halloween Add-on for £12 in a bundle and caved in... Definitely want to mod it a bit, that tower definitely goes. I quite like the small tweaks to the rock and cave done here:

Saw this on the main page, and couldn't come here to write: wow, amazing line-up! Love this -
What next vintage set could be recreated by TLG ?
zinnn replied to Khargeust's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That would be a dream! But also wouldn’t mind seeing King Kahuka's Throne Set 6262 -
The photo in the link above doesnt work. Can we make a rule that photos should be uploaded to imgur as a backup? anyway does anyone have a photo of this set?

[CONTEST] Return of the Classic Pirates - Vote Counting
zinnn replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
To add to the discussion: in my opinion, for any future contests there should be a rule that anyone with at least 10 posts is eligible to vote. I wouldn’t ban new members who registered after the competition started from voting, but they’d have to prove they’re here as genuine fans of the theme, not one-offs. Also, personally, I see no harm in promoting your builds on your social media, I thinks that’s something impossible to control anyway.
