  1. have you seen the original set? https://brickset.com/sets/1492-1/Battle-Cove
  2. Loving this, I think all your remakes are my fav sets so far in this competition. I love the broken cannon btw! My criticism with the current version: - the yellow "hay" bed looks weird and doesn't fit with the modern vibe, maybe try dark tan instead? - the wall looks odd with the masonry bricks laid vertically. I understand the need to make the build more fun and unique, but I'd suggest redesigning it so the light bluish gray masonry pieces are in horizontal mode - not a big fan of the rock formation made out of plates stacked on top - the lid bit looks cool, but the flat front I'd replace with brick slopes
  3. @Wurger49 I suggest you should re-post this idea with the car in the Town subforum, and then reuse this thread, and add some more Pirates' elements to your MOC.
  4. While the car definitely shouldn't be there, I appreciate the attempt at alt build using two of those sets. I'd love to add some texture to this lighthouse but I understand it's limited to the pieces available.
  5. I love the updated version with the forum's feedback! Amazing set.
  6. Found them! one is Slope 33 3 x 3 Double Concave (99301) - unfortunately doesn't exist in tan colour - I love how it looks in this island setting. the smooth slope is Slope, Curved 3 x 3 Corner (76797)
  7. How are those pieces called on Bricklink?
  8. Impressive, and sooo big! Love this.
  9. I'm loving it, you captured the feel of the movies 100%. The Delorean in particular is incredible, I'd love to see more/better photos of it :)
  10. Does anyone know why is this happening? Also the Home button has the border. I'm using the latest Firefox browser, and updated Win11.
  11. New Super Mario set has been revealed - 71427 Larry's and Morton's Airships, it has some Pirates-friendly pieces
  12. @Yperio_Bricks could you build a palm tree using this piece and take a few pics to show us how it looks in a Pirate setting?
  13. I would 100% buy this set, love every bit of it, gives me proper old school set vibes but with a modern polish. That being said - the walls seem a bit fragile? Are they somehow connected together / secured so they won't fall down? I cannot see any pieces that could support them? Sets like this one make this competition so exciting! Is there a chance for instructions please?
  14. Yes, that’s what I heard and what made me start this thread
  15. A couple of years ago I had the 4182 set from the Pirates of the Caribbean line and the brown plates snapped. Has it happened with other sets? Do you think POBB set may be problematic with brown pieces?
  16. I love those two suggestions in particular!
  17. That's my #2! it beats the original design in every aspect, I'm super happy how well they reimagined him. Yet there's something down to earth and more relatable about the Scallywag, that's why he's my fav :)
  18. Old thread but I got similar coins when ordered a bunch from eBay. IMHO those are fakes, I complained to the seller and they refunded me
  19. No way, the plain navy vest goes really well with the green shorts with white stripes, I see absolutely no clash there. I think the colour balance here is spot on IMHO.
  20. what do you mean? the vest clearly ends under the belt on his torso
  21. This Lego CMF series 16 gem is in my personal opinion the best Lego Pirate of all time in terms of design. Whoever designed it (is there a way to check it?) nailed the theme 100%, giving the figure a modern look while paying homage to the classics. The torso, arms and legs prints are just fantastic, both in terms of the details as well as colours. The bald head/bandana piece was a fresh take on lego pirates' look (after years of basic bandanas and tricorn hats), and with the rough-looking and grumpy-yet-funny face it gives the figure a unique vibe. Lego knocked this one out of the park, and I'm still amazed that those figures are so cheap to buy years later. From Create the World Incredible Inventions Trading Card #054 Scallywag Pirate:
  22. TBH @F1stzz review above is pretty much spot on. The ship looks half-assed to me, especially the big gaps in front, the dock is a travesty, the interior design of the fortress feels cheap and more like a 3in1 creator set rather than a continuation of the style TLG nailed in the POBB, the male Pirate minifig is basic...
