  1. I'm pretty certain that casuals don't know any clone commanders besides Rex and Cody and even then that's probably only if they watched Clone Wars. The real question is probably who else can Lego make that clone fans will care about. Wolffe is obvious and I guess they could update Gree but yeah beyond that I really don't know. I guess there's a question of how much clone fans care about recognizability, but until we get more relatively obscure legions and see how much people care, I don't think we can say.
  2. It is hard to believe honestly. I know there have been quite a few variations of it (three from 2015 to 2019), and the sequel version isn't really that different, but the fact that you haven't been able to get a standard OT Falcon for well over ten years is just wild. I like that Lego wanted to try something different but I feel like the Dark Falcon should have been the normal version, given how long it's been. I guess we'll probably get one within the next three or four years, though.
  3. I can't see us getting much for the R1 anniversary with how little we seem to be getting for TFA next year, although I suppose there's still a few 2025 says we don't know about. Otherwise I agree though, I'm guessing the deluge of clones will slow down in 2026, and 2027 probably won't be too heavy on them either if they do another anniversary wave.
  4. Eh I think it makes sense, they've already done the brown version a couple times so why not do a different color scheme? I do wonder how they decide that stuff though, like do they do some kind of analysis to try and determine which version would sell better or is it just "oh well already did the brown one a couple times, let's change it up." I'm guessing it's the latter but it's funny to think it could be the first option. They should do a Turbo Tank and MTT combo set where you can swap around the parts, like the X-Wing and TIE from this year.
  5. That seems a lot more believable to me. I'm still not sold on the 327th "leak" either, even for Lego's standards that just seems like way too many clones. Honestly 75414 being RtG is still not that exciting though. I wasn't a huge fan to begin with but I felt like it was fine for one year. Doing even more next year, when we already have so few playset slots, is just kinda annoying imo.
  6. Pretty much my thoughts as well, although I would say we probably need to wait and see on Rontu. 381 sounds small but if the build uses a lot of big parts (not to mention plastic wings) I think it might be worth the price. I think the diorama is the set I'm most excited for, but I'm interested in seeing the larger mechs and the bounty too. Somehow I've never had a bounty despite being into the theme since it started, but who knows maybe this will be the one.
  7. Thoughts on the new information: MTT is definitely the most interesting part for myself, I might actually get it depending how my budget for Legos shakes out next year. I always wanted one as a kid and getting a new vehicle for the CIS would be great, but we'll see I guess. $1000 Death Star is hilarious. I don't think it'll sell that well, but who knows. At least it will be fun to see it whenever I go to a Lego store for the next five years. The buildable figures stuff is really getting out of hand. I suppose it's not really fair to judge it yet, since there it's totally possible that the rest of the sets we don't know of will be regular playsets, but that seems a little unlikely. I guess the figures must be selling decently well, but it really feels like the theme is losing its identity to me. I'm probably being overdramatic here but idk, I'm just not super optimistic. It feels like we're getting way less minifigure scale sets than we used to, and like a third of everything we get is so overpriced that I'd never even consider buying it.
  8. Agreed, I'm very much looking forward to seeing the completed physical build!
  9. New wave looks pretty cool, I like that Zane is getting a lot of love since he's my favorite of the ninja. It is a little funny that he doesn't actually come as a minifigure in his own combo mech, but considering that he also is available in a pretty decent looking cheap set I guess I can't really complain. The only thing I don't really get is why Lloyd has two sets that are basically the exact same size? It looks like it's two different variants of him in each, but I still find that weird.
  10. If there is a new clone commander coming, I feel like Wolffe is the most obvious candidate right? There are some others who are requested, but I think Plo is almost certainly going to show up in another set and Wolffe is bound to show up with him. Not to mention that Lego seems to enjoy keeping at least one character in any given large-ish set exclusive, and again, Wolffe just makes the most sense with Plo. I guess we've just got to wait a little while and see though.
  11. Really hope the second Andor set of 2025 is the Fondor, but I guess we've just got to wait and see. Whatever it ends up being though, I'm really glad we're getting more than one this time. I'm hoping all the characters from the first set are available in some form between these two so I don't have to get that one on the second market (though I wouldn't really care about missing Syril anyway since I don't think the minifigure is particularly good).
  12. I assume it's because Lego thinks clones and Jedi are more popular (and they're probably right), but yeah it's getting a little ridiculous. With how much Lego seems to like Jedi starfighters and sets with two opposing ships, I'm a bit surprised we haven't seen a modern Jedi starfighter vs vulture droid yet. If it weren't for the fact that Ashoka's is $45, I'd have said that feels like the kind of set that could go for about $50, but even if they want to bulk up the vulture droid it could still probably work for $60.
  13. Not sure about a specific date but I'd be surprised if we don't see them sometime this week. We already got a couple of official reveals for other themes, and Ninjago isn't licensed so it doesn't usually take too long.
  14. I pretty much agree with everyone else, looks like a nice set but it feels very expensive for what it is. Even once it goes on sale it'll probably still sting a bit, but I might end up getting since I would really like a pre-CW s7 Ashoka and a new Anakin would be nice too. It really is a shame. I'm not one to complain about minifigure detailing too much but I would really prefer they keep it consistent at least, and given how exorbitant the price is here, surely extra printing wouldn't be that big of an ask?
  15. Not sure if I misreading what you mean here, but there is absolutely zero chance of Nintendo allowing any kind of game based on their IP to release on a console that isn't made by them. The Minecraft Mario skin pack is only available on Nintendo platforms (and can't be used in cross-platform multiplayer), and they wouldn't even let Samus appear in Fortnite because it'd mean that you'd be able to play as Samus on a non-Nintendo console. I'm not sure Nintendo would even be interested in a Lego game, but if it happens it (unfortunately) will not be available on any non-Nintendo platforms. On the subject of Horizon, I think the new set looks quite cool. I bounced off the game when I tried it so the sets have never been super interesting to me, but I still think they're pretty cool and I am glad fans seem to be happy with them.
  16. Sometimes I forget I'm a LSW boomer...I still remember getting the original Plo Koon starfighter and that was $25, but I guess at this point that would cost at least $35 ($36.21 according to the BLS). Of course there is much to be said about how much the buying power of the average person has (or rather, has not) increased, but either way I guess we're just at a point where two minifigures in a $30 set is pretty typical. And in fairness, I guess Star Wars as a theme has been somewhat stingy with the minifigures for a while now (or maybe they always were and I just didn't notice as a kid).
  17. Oh that actually is a pretty good point. I still feel like people might still find $30 for just Plo and the astromech to be a bit egregious, but I think you're probably right because it would look weird if you got the same amount of minifigures in the two comparably sized 2025 starfighters but one was just $15 more for some reason.
  18. Obi Wan's also had three (two minifigures plus a droid), so I think it's pretty likely that's what we get with Plo's as well. It definitely helps take the sting off the price increases of the starfighters, so I wouldn't be surprised if that just ends up being standard going forward.
  19. 100% agreed, not to mention that it has a separate theme page on the Lego website. I think at very least it was planned, and if I remember right there was some indication on Lego's website that it was selling pretty well at least initially (I think it temporarily sold out at one point?).
  20. I haven't seen anything yet, but we also don't really have a good frame of reference for when to even expect Lego LoZ leaks imo since the Deku Tree leaked so far ahead of when we typically get leaks. That said, I feel like we're almost guaranteed to get something just based on the comment from Aonuma about the Deku Tree being the "first" Zelda set.
  21. Zam Wesell helmet before we get a new minifigure of her would be absolutely hilarious (I know it's never happening but still). Unironically I think that would be the most interesting helmet they've ever done if it happened, but yeah not expecting it and admittedly I still probably wouldn't buy it since I just don't have much interest in the helmets.
  22. So true...not to mention their elements are kinda opposite too. It's perfect.
  23. Yeah I was gonna say, afaik the second Andor set stuff has always just been wishful thinking (and a few opportunistic leakers, perhaps). I don't think there's any evidence of it happening so far and I don't think it's something worth expecting unless one of the reliable leakers says something.
  24. Agreed, and even Fives could have been in a CW set. I think Leia and Cal kind of make sense from Lego's perspective, in so far as that they probably just aren't interested in making any more sets for either of those series, but they still FEEL like something we probably could have got from dedicated sets (in the case of Leia, back when the show aired). I think most of the anniversary figures are pretty good and they're certainly better than nothing, they just feel like odd choices. I guess Lego likely wanted to strike a balance between "unlikely to appear in a dedicated set" and marketability, but it still feels like there's room for improvement to me.
  25. I wouldn't say it 100% de-confirms it from ever happening but yeah I am not expecting one anytime soon at this point, which is a bit of a shame. I have always wondered about that too. I definitely remember seeing the sets on shelves for quite a while after the movie released, but that went for TLJ too, and obviously that's purely anecdotal. Plus I'd assume they probably produce more sets for movies than regular waves, so maybe that was part of why I was seeing them for so long? I'd love to see the data on that but as per usual I doubt we'll ever really know.
