  1. Wow that certainly is a 4+ X-Wing. One thing I have been kind of baffled by ever since the rumors came out is exactly why this set has to look like this? Like, is the smart brick just designed such that any set that incorporates one has to look bad??? Or is that the smart brick costs a lot of money and these sets are supposed to be extra playable, so to keep them somewhat affordable and toy-ish the sets had to be massively simplified?
  2. Interesting that we're seeing this one first, I assumed we'd get a look at the first three sets to release before this one? Unless this one is actually also releasing alongside those. I guess the 2026 leaks have been weird in general though.
  3. I hadn't even considered that, but that is a good point. That actually brings up some interesting questions regarding what's "meant" to be used together. I'm sure basically any kid doesn't care that much, it's only natural to mix all sorts of stuff together during play, all the more so with Lego in particular. But on the other hand, what kind of interactions would even occur if you used an OT set with a set from another era? I guess if it's just more generic stuff like laser and explosion noises then it's fine, but I think it'd be fun to see some stuff more specific to those weird interactions.
  4. Oh wow that's so clever, I never knew that was possible.
  5. Woah this is awesome. Love the way you built the armor with the chi in the center, is it able to hold the ball in there or does it pop out depending on the angle?
  6. Honestly very confused by the strategy here on Lego's part. Judging by the sizes, Eevee is definitely going to not be to scale with the others, and Pikachu probably won't be to scale with the starters unless the Pokeball in the set is pretty small (which is totally possible, I just feel like it might be on the larger side since it's in the set's name). Maybe most people don't care but to me that just seems like a stupid design choice honestly. I'm all for sets of varying price points to be available but why would you want three different sets that don't look good together? I'm also just not a huge fan of the price points they've chosen to start the theme with though, I know we'll almost certainly see some smaller sets later in the year but it's kind of disappointing that there won't be anything I am interested in at the start (which is mostly down to price).
  7. Yeesh that's rough, especially since I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if both of those are buildable figures. Oh okay I didn't realize they were that different, that does change the calculus a bit. I still don't think it's a guarantee and I guess it could always show up later (instead of being one of the ones we know about) but I guess we've just got to play the waiting game atp. (Also unrelated but great edit as always)
  8. Alright that's what I thought but I couldn't remember since we'd been talking about it for so long haha. Yeah I feel like a Razor Crest is inevitable, I cannot imagine we don't get one. The AT-AT is more what I'm wondering about because while it does make a lot of sense and evidently is important enough to feature on the poster, it doesn't necessarily feel 100% guaranteed (imo anyway). I think a new AT-AT is definitely on the horizon but if anything one could argue that it might make more sense to have it be based on ESB and save that M&G slot that we thought might be an AT-AT for something more specific to the movie, especially since the M&G AT-AT doesn't look much different from the classic one (not sure that it's different at all).
  9. Was it 100% confirmed that we're getting an AT-AT and Razor Crest for the movie, or is it just that those are the obvious options? It's been a while since people started talking about them so I don't remember anymore.
  10. Praying this doesn't happen cause I'm still rocking the Clone Wars Dooku
  11. This is the most obvious monkey's paw ever but I could absolutely see it happening.
  12. I could see it including Ganon as well but I'm not sure it's likely? I guess it's never worth reading too heavily into what information is included in leaks, but they specifically called it a diorama, and I'm not sure if 1000 pieces is enough for an accurately sized Ganon build if it's primarily a diorama? Plus honestly while Ganon himself would be great to have, I think the rest of the build would be fairly boring if that's the direction they go in.
  13. That sound awesome! Honestly wasn't expecting them to go with that next but I will 100% be getting it. Really the only two options are that or the scene where he chases Zelda out of the Castle Town and she throws Link the ocarina, right? Both would be great but I'd prefer the (first) final battle since it's just such an awesome moment, plus that way we'd get adult Zelda. Young Zelda and Impa would be great to have but I'm alright with not getting them for now if its between those two options. In any case though this is super exciting and I am very much planning to pick it up. Edit: Forgot to mention this before but I also think the organ scene would be neat from a meta perspective since that was the very first Zelda set to ever reach 10000 supporters on Lego Ideas (back when it was Lego Cuusoo).
  14. Lego had this exact thought before season 2 came out and went "ohhhh of course, we should do a buildable K-2SO!" Anyway I have to say, at this point the most exciting part about the Death Star is just going to be seeing it in person. I'm not expecting to ever buy it but I am really interested to see just how big it feels in the flesh (or brick, I suppose).
  15. Damn, guess I should have chimed in too, haha. I can't say I'm overly optimistic that it will happen, but I will be there if it does. And either way, I certainly respect your dedication to the cause .
  16. Yeah as long as we get Rotta I'll be satisfied. That concept is way too funny not to show up in Lego form and if it does I absolutely need him. 100% agreed, I don't get this criticism at all. Literally who has the space to display a giant Death Star disc where you can show off both sides of it??? And for that matter, would anyone be particularly excited to display a textured gray disc? I get that some people just wanted an entirely different set when they heard we were getting a new Death Star, which is fair, but I don't see any reason why people would want/expect the iteration of the set that we got to do that. And likewise, I can empathize with the slight mental itch that comes with knowing that the back isn't detailed despite not being able to see it, but ultimately I think that's just something people have to settle with because there's no world where it makes sense to jack up the price or downgrade all the interior sections just to satisfy that relatively pointless desire. Idk though, maybe there's a side (pun not intended) to this that I'm not seeing.
  17. Oh yeah they're certainly not the worst choices given their popularity and how long it's been since either of them were available, I just think it sounds a little boring. I don't own any version of either though so who knows, maybe I'll end up getting one.
  18. Definitely feel that but I suspect that's probably intentional on Disney's part. I have no doubt that they want M&G to "feel" like a classic Star Wars movie to the average viewer (given the reception of the sequels) so I'm guessing the merchandise will probably reflect that, which is disappointing but not especially shocking. With regards to the Death Star, seeing the new images hasn't changed my mind much. A lot of the individual dioramas look really good and this would be an awesome set to have on display, but I cannot imagine ever spending that much on a Lego set. Maybe if I get a decent job (lmao) and I see it for a notable discount I'd consider, but not any time soon. The GWP is okay but I do wish the wings were just ever so slightly bigger. I appreciate that there's nothing exclusive in there, though.
  19. I suspect they'll start by mostly focusing on Gen 1, but considering that we're getting 20 sets I have to imagine they'll give every generation at least a little love. Also wouldn't be surprised if a lot of slots are dedicated to Generation 10, since that will probably be releasing next November.
  20. It's such a frustrating choice, honestly feels like they're only doing it that way because it means that even if you bought a bunch of the Ashoka troopers already you'll still have to get a ton of this pack to have a decent number of enemy Mandalorians for them to fight. I get why Lego might prefer to move in the direction of 2v2 BPs now since there are so many different factions to cover, but of all the ones they could do this with it seems like one of the worst possible choices.
  21. That's absolutely crazy on paper for a new licensed theme these days, but I guess if any theme would get that treatment it would be Pokemon. Really excited to see what else is coming, hopefully there's a good amount of more affordable options since there's very little chance of me being able to afford the $650 set (not that I'm even sure it's something I'd want). I am pretty interested to see what that ends up being though. It's going to have to be pretty impressive for that price, and heck it should probably play the games too .
  22. I mean, are there really that many "just one more legion" comments? I'm sure there are amongst the more rabid clone bro types, but that's a moot point because those guys are never going to be satisfied. I'm only really talking about this forum since I don't look at many other online Lego fan spaces, but the only legions I've really seen anyone mention wanting at this point are Wolfpack and the 41st, the latter of which still doesn't come up very often. I suppose my larger point though is just that if we have to keep getting clone BPs, I hope we see the Wolfpack at some point relatively soon. Not sure how the August wave has been doing but even if it bombed (and doesn't pick up during the holidays) we're probably still getting quite a few clones next year since sets are designed well in advance of their release, so I'm just personally hoping the wolfpack shows up in some capacity. If we can get a break for a year or two that's fine as well, I'm just not anticipating it .
  23. Honestly I wouldn't be too broken up if we get a Wolfpack battlepack next year but I would hope that if we do that's the last of the clones we see for a while, at least in BPs. Really would like a decent regular imperial or rebel one sometime. Some less common factions would be great too, maybe a generic jedi one? I suppose there's a decent chance we might get an imperial one next year for M&G, if nothing else.
  24. Oh yeah I completely agree, but I'm also admittedly more of a Ninjago than Star Wars fan anyway (or at least, more of a fan of some of the subject matter). And that's a great point on the potential for higher priced non-UCS sets. I guess maybe Lego just worries about confusing the branding but there's a lot of room for that kind of thing imo. Kind of crazy comparing something like the Guardian Dragon to the Yavin Base, the latter of which actually retailed for $20 more.
  25. This actually was exactly the case, the series was supposed to end after season 3, which went along with the fifth wave of sets and was literally called "The Final Battle." I recall a higher up at Lego even bragging about how the next "big bang" theme they had cooking was going to blow Ninjago out of the water, that theme being Chima. It was fan backlash and probably stronger than expected sales that kept the series alive and it's just kept going ever since. At this point it's recognizable enough that it has comparable brand power to a licensed theme without all the actual licensing deals and costs that come along typically, so I think that's really the main reason the theme has survived so long. It's so adaptable that I wouldn't be surprised if it lasts basically forever, but who knows I guess. Anyway tying it back into Star Wars a bit, I do wonder how much Ninjago eats into Star Wars' lunch when it comes to kids. When I was a kid it felt like the two weren't too far off in terms of value, but nowadays I feel like basically any kid trying to pick between the two would be hard pressed to go with Star Wars just cause of how much less you get in any given set. Heck, if you only have $10 to spend on a Lego set then Star Wars is barely an option. I guess this theme is more and more aimed at adults nowadays but I still find the whole situation a little sad.
