    It’s a 2980-piece base separated in four modules: WATCH TOWER- Observation and communication deck. It includes a working elevator to take astronauts to the top of the tower. HANGAR- Storages and gives maintenance to the ORCA, a tri-module exploration vehicle. It also has a second level where a Flyer explorer is kept and is deployed by opening the roof door. LANDING PAD- Facility used for external spaceships to reach the base. Includes the octagonal platform and a ground control unit to aid the incoming ships. It includes also a small spaceship. COMMAND BASE- Three level building used as living quarters. The first lever has four rooms used as medical a unit, sleeping quarter, workshop and lab. It also has two small garages for a small rover and a lifter mechanical suit. The second level are the recreational area and cafeteria.     I think Lego Space reached a peak ar M:Tron, The magnet pieces were used widely through the 90s and the introduction of trans Neon green color was reused in other themes after M:Tron was discontinued.

    I created this upgrade version of this 1987 space set using only pieces found on the Classic Space theme. Now the spaceship can split into 3 modules, the two cockpits plus a speeder that is the mid secton of the ship. This is the set we should gotten back in 1987!.     Thanks! Also if I place it higher, it wouldn't reach the controls. Hiden fact: The astronaut is standing inside the pod. I design it that way since felt cooler. I can add a 2x4 and make it sit, but I like it better this way.

    Thanks, Glad you like it! More stuff in the making. There's an upgraded version of the lander on th my FB group with 126 pieces. Futuron is basically Classic Space but only using White/Black/Trans-Dark Blue color scheme.Also the figures have helmets with visors.

    I created this Futuron theme space lander using pieces available in the 80s and 90s decades. I still don't understand why Lego never gave us something similar to this.     Thanks for your support. Actually that was the purpose of this base in the first place. To create something using ALL the pieces C.S. fans vote that Lego should make in Classic Space colors. I'm seriously thinking reposting this base with some modifications, including taking out some of the excessive variety of trans yellow pieces and improving the rover and the rocket. Great to hear that! Lego should suprise us with something like this. A new Classic Space base or spaceship, not just remakes.

    Thanks a lot! The main purpose of all this is to make Lego Group understand that we want the 80s and 90s space themes back! Not just remakes of old sets, but new stuff too. That's why ipost so much stuff in Lego Ideas so they eventually start paying attention to space AFOLs demands!

    Thank you so much for your comment, The purpose of Sci-fi exploration is to reimagine how would evolve today's technology. To take what's consider science breakthroughs and look at them from a different angle. Star Trek, Back to the Future 2, even the Jetsons; have predicted future technology used today. I’ve said it several times, Classic space Lego themes still have a lot of potential. Stuff it couldn’t be done with the pieces we had in the 80s and 90s, we can take it to the next level today. Let today kids know what Lego space was like in the 80s and 90s.

    You wanted more? Here is my newest project! I'm doing something Lego Group never gave us in a space set. A proper SCI-FI Lander Rocket for planet colonization. The rocket carries deployable equipment to start a new colony in an unexplored new planet, A small rover, an outpost base, four cargo and an orbital communication satellite. All units to ensure the survival of the pioneer astronauts. Let us expand the imagination horizons and create something new rather than spaceships, rovers and bases. To give the new generations the joy we felt with Classic Space. This Moc takes rocket exploration to a new level!
