Interesting fix. It definitely evens out that slope of that part. I got mine into a fairly settled position now but it’s the trickiest part of the build to get right. I’m still blown away by this one. Definitely the best thing I have made out of Lego

I finally picked up this set today and really, really enjoyed building it. The figures are fantastic too. It’s a really good set. I thought now that I have built the original that I would be able to look at your images and definitely understand what I needed to do to copy this design and I’m still not sure I could actually do it. If you had the fully built original, in what order would you tackle it? Should it be started from scratch or handled like a mod?

can someone please clarify what an accessory set is and why it is exciting? are we talking a pack of blasters, binoculars, thermal detonators, lightsaber bits etc?

Its funny how stirred up this UCS news is making some people, just vote with your wallet guys. I can’t wait to see the UCS landspeeder just to see the approach they take. I think some people with be surprised just how nice it ends up being. I am glad they are aiming at something new (for UCS). A lot of the grumbling I am seeing is that the landspeeder is displacing their imaginary Venator, Slave 1 or Tie Advanced Remake that was never promised.

I feel like this should be standard everywhere now.

Re: Poe's X-Wing, i was in my dark age, what was the deal with this? just curious! about the video, I am baffled that this didnt get picked up somewhere. There is no way a video goes out like this without some level of signoff internally. In corporate, This is the sort of thing that multiple people and Subject Matter Experts would need to view and give approval on before it gets uploaded anywhere external. I appreciate that the designer mis-spoke but I find it baffling that nobody reviewing it before it was posted picked up on that error and suggested a re-shoot or dub, considering what the purpose of the video was. These are the telltale signs of people either not being given the time or space to handle everything that comes across their desk with the care it needs (overloaded) or its being signed off by people who don't know enough or care enough about the subject matter themselves. Neither are great thoughts

So there is an image of what is suspected to be the UCS AT-AT design. It looks suitably massive, probably minifig scale (yay) it’s the one I have been really waiting on this year so I’m quite excited to get a glimpse. You can see on the inside of the legs some of the connection but it’s not clear enough to work out exactly what parts are used to make it stable enough to hold. Might be movable and not static. Something to speculate on at least

That is probably the lowest you will ever find a brand new UCS falcon in the UK if you dont have one already. I thought I got a steal at £550 from Smyths when I got mine

From building mine I’m pretty sure you would need to mod the design to use a wb stand. Jerac’s designs are generally studless and wb stands have studs that connect to anti studs underneath. They are more suited to official sets. for my Jerac I built my own stand from Technic

I would second that. building the Falcon was the absolute pinnacle for me, nothing has ever come close to scratching that same itch and it looks spectacular on display. I have high hopes for the AT-AT later this year

I can understand if you are planning to sell the plans and don’t want to lose out on potential profit but you already said you are not going to do instructions. it’s pretty clear the community would all benefit And be grateful for a bit of knowledge sharing to improve their models too. Some builds are fun, some are not so much. I find the building experience goes a long way to whether I enjoy the final model or not. It’s not Star Wars but the most recent official build that was awesome all the way through was the ghostbusters ecto-1. I enjoyed every minute of that and it looks awesome on display. It felt like a UCS set but in another theme

definitely. I have been looking to try and build something similar to retrofit onto the UCS shuttle and bring the weakest area of that model up to date. I assume this wouldn't be able to directly do that but it helps inspire my though process a little more

The hatch can be made to lock using parts that come in the set, just swap the 2x 1x2 lbg plates with the 2x 1x2 sand blue tiles, done Its a great set. but I would have rather it was £20 cheaper and no speeders. wait for a discount but definitely get it, its a great build

When are people expecting the AT-AT to launch later this year? Are we talking around November? I am just wondering how long I have to save for this beast
