That solution would work its not visible and only serves as a block to essentially stop the rectangle from coming off the turntable pins. I don’t think you need to worry about the strength of the axle. Any axle that size could do it the blue/orange part is essential as it locks the entire leg to the body with the 2l lift arm. Without this you would have legs popping off

I just finished building mine and this thing is a monster. I can’t get over how overwhelmingly in the room it is. I have built some great models In my collection but for wow factor This is really up there with the falcon

Hi Mirko when can we expect to hear about replacement cables? New year? Thanks -
The default build has a special hatch for Luke to throw the thermal detonator into already

In terms of my collection I have a mix of official sets and Mocs. I am all about minifig scale if I can get there and a lot of the UCS sets or play sets are over/undersized in reference to each other. UCS MF, At-At, Slave 1 and imperial shuttle mixed in with some brickvault and customs to make everything consistent.

The solution is don’t include the green collar piece so you can get proper access to the axle like I said a few pages back. I have built it and can verify. I can’t believe the over reaction in some places. It’s as if they sold the set in an unbuildable condition or something. You don’t even need extra parts

I am honestly having a hard time figuring out if some of the responses here are genuine or people piling on for dramatic effect

P1 clone from accessory pack image is out there -
I built box one so far and for this step I simply didn’t include the green collar piece in each leg. This part serves no real purpose having the model in my hands I can see that the method they employed does 2 Important things The grey joiner piece prevents the rectangular technic piece from detaching itself from the geared turntable by providing a physical block when bearing weight. I would not recommend doing away with this and just using a 1x2 black pin on the outside as someone suggested the orange pin eventually anchors the leg to the main body with a 1x2 liftarm that will prevent the leg from popping off sideways.

I am currently building mine and just finished box 1. I am glad you made this thread as I was going to make one like this myself. already I have a list of parts that I will be ordering to mod mine. There are some baffling design decisions when it comes to colour use. i know they try to make orientation easier by color coding sections but the usual problem of rainbow insides is unforgivable if it’s actually possible to see it from certain angles. If this is an 18+ set then dumbing it down while spoiling the final look is unforgivable, especially when suitable pieces in dbg or lbg are available. im also going to do some work on smoothing the final look out a bit to be less studded in certain places. I am really enjoying this set but I will post some updates once I finish and get to the modding stage. It might be a few weeks as I am not rushing this to get max enjoyment :)

Same, I managed to get one. The last time I did a release day purchase was the BB shuttle and it was stuck in warehouse for about a week. fingers crossed they dont take so long this time.

My counter hunch says good looking captain Rex helmet would sell absolute gangbusters ;) -

I still can’t believe they took the decision to blow up the crest. It was such an iconic looking ship. I know it was part of a really impactful finale set-up but damn. I can’t see any follow up ship being as good -

I just checked my packet. in the bag with just 2 lights which I believe are the white ones. I have one wire that is around 29cm and the other is quite short at 7cm. I am guessing this is the one that needs replacement? its ok as I was not planning on building this until the new year anyway so I am not too fussed about having to wait for a replacement right now -

That is interesting, I bought my kit in the first hour and I was received this week. I have 2 bags of wires. One with many and one with few Which o think are white. Am I checking the one with few to ensure it’s longer length? -

So as mentioned in the 2022 thread. The AT-AT has been reduced to £699. It’s still a lot but factoring inflation I will accept it. I couldn’t have been the only one upset -

Yeah rebrickable all the way. I’m always surprised how few people know how to use such a powerful tool -

My manual was received today and just like K-Project it is exceptional. It was totally worth the wait. I am going to take my time gathering the parts for this over the next few months and cannot wait to start the build. Thanks Mirko Time from initial enquiry to receiving my manual was around 10 days -

I am all for premium sets but defending a pretty blatant price hike like this within weeks of the titanic launching at £569 seems off to me This is why we are inching closer to the first £1000 R.R.P Lego set. you can compare, Weight, size, piece count, density, packaging size Or anything else to titanic and I can’t see any justification of this increased price. It is either an obscene Star Wars tax or a built scalp. I get that Lego is a business but this feels like they are pushing it just a little too far. -

Ok let’s look at it another way. Titanic 9000 pieces is £180 less millenium falcon ucs is £100 less with 800 more pieces. so what is the extra £100 for? This is The Lego group getting in on that scalping action as far as I can see. -

I feel exactly the same. This was a day 1 purchase for me but seeing the RRP compared to other markets strikes me as plain profiteering. No other set has had this kind of imaginary mark up that I know of. The exchange rate for $800 right now is £590. I can understand them putting it at their standard £650 for added shipping cost but where the hell did the extra £100 come from. the more I think about this the more mad it is making me
