This is an incredible MOC. I love minifig scale ships. That part count though is huge! I might not be able to afford to build it anytime soon but this feels like a worthy long term project. So many amazing MOCs here

I have the offical razor crest set, I would need to take the windshield from that. Is much else from the official set used in this moc to help reduce costs or is it negligible?

I don’t think I could bring myself to paint my Lego, especially considering the cost and hurting the value of the parts, but that being said, holy-smokes that looks incredible. To my eyes the smoothness of the model itself and the paint job make it look like a real movie prop. I want this model so bad.

Vader looks like an anime happy face. Scout looks good. I’m staying away from the helmets as I’m getting poor with all these builds. Day 1 on the probe droid, cant wait

how sturdy is this thing, can it be handled ok? This is on my bucket list but it just looks so expensive. I am waiting to see how the UCS sets look this year before deciding if I put the money towards one of them or this badboy

Same here. I would much prefer the all black UCS style stand just for consistency with my other sets. I have pre-ordered the instructions and cant wait to start collecting the parts for this. ideal solution would be Parts list and instructions for ship Parts list and instructions for Grass stand Parts list and instructions for Black UCS style stand. Out of interest, how much of the original playset parts can be used in this build? I can see the hinge pieces are the same but twice as many.

Do we expect the ucs gunship to be bigger then minifig scale? It appears the 2013 version is already in this scale so I can’t see how they make it ucs quality without upscaling. I like to collect minifig scale to keep my collection scaled correctly in relation to each other and am in the market for a gunship. I don’t know if I should wait for the ucs or bite the bullet on a 2013 version

This sound like a nightmare. I recently picked up a ucs sandcrawler from eBay for a bargain price. It arrived in chunks already built with some loose parts. It was super dusty so I decided to completely dismantle everything and give it all a good soak. I heard about this issue with reddish brown so was fairly careful but didn’t experience any of this Mass cracking. I managed to reassemble everything including some motorisation mods and the only thing I lost was 1 1x4 brown tile Bolstered in confidence I have been considering picking up an old jabbas sail barge but am a bit worried now. Perhaps it’s something to do with the environment and temps they were stored at?
