LEGO Star Wars 2022 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
LDigital replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I don’t understand why not. If they develop the tools and methodology to pump these out why don’t they stick with that for all future versions? The difference in production cost would be negligible once the development is done. its not like there isn’t constantly a set out there that needs a threepio, R2 unit or Vader so they can’t use the storage excuse. -

The ‘Room’ in the back is hilarious it seems $90 on this set is for the fancy printing somehow. I can’t see it coming out for that price, It has to be a mistake, it’s just insane. Lego inflation has been getting out of hand for a while. -

I love the trench run and will definitely get that but for some reason the dagobah training looks disappointing and a bit cramped. In my minds eye it was bigger and better considering the price -
Teroch-class Mandalorian Cruiser (ship concept by FractalSponge)

incredible looking ship and build. Is it actually a star wars ship though or an 'imagining'? from the flavour text I am not sure and I am not familiar with much EU material- 24 replies

Fantastic. If I hadn’t already built a version 2 days ago I would have a hard time passing in this one. How stable is it?

Weird! just finished building mine last night. After a long time deliberating and finally seeing the comedy Lego version I went for this one too. Especially as it uses official Lego metallic pieces and no spraying needed. I made a few tweaks and there is a bit of a weakness up front with the undercarriage due to the way the wing slope is implemented but it is an amazing model to look at. The engines are insane to build but are strong once it’s all in. edit: I don’t think the engines in your pic are right. The red pieces should overlap the piece next to it. I will take some pics of mine later

Can someone pm me a link please? I’m usually good as fishing out link shots but haven’t seen this alleged canopy piece anywhere. -
Good work. DM sent!

Amazing work and can’t wait to build it. I have bought the update after building the initial v1 I was hoping more of the parts would be good for the update but it’s about 45%ish (circa 600 depending on the model you had before) one thing. The red 5 dirty version looks white and dirty in the picture but the parts lists it as mainly lbg with very little white. It must be the lighting. I would prefer mine to be white and dirty as I did a white base last time and want to use as many parts again as possible. But not sure which parts to convert To make a hybrid that looks like your pictures. would it be possible to do a white body but dirty parts list?

You absolute legend! I just did this fix. almost exactly the same but instead of using the tbar and half pin I just used a flick missile thing 61184 which does both jobs in one part One of the problems I have had is that if you want to use the head rotation it typically rotates slightly and these side parts would start to droop away without some finessing. this solves it completely. nice one

This does look incredible. The UCS one still looks good to this day. I would be interested in seeing how many parts the ucs shares other than the windshield

Happy Birthday Mirko! i have been looking forward to what is next. I don’t know how you find the time but I am glad you always do. Great work -
So far this is my favourite. I always prefer minimal studs. Well done

Very nice. I love how they did the tail. I saw another good one posted on reddit earlier. I take no credit for this, it’s not mine https://www.mecabricks.com/en/models/GejelWP32KX#jLYwqD I wonder what the Lego one will be like and who builds the definitive display version. Edit: The title of the thread is a little bit of a spoiler. Might be worth calling it Din’s new toy or something lol

I think they misjudged the quality and content of Fallen Order and by the time they realised how popular it was, it was too late to Plan and design a line. I get a sense from the EA announcement that the Jedi series may have a totally different setting and cast, they didn’t stay fallen order series. if they do go back to cal, bd1 and crew then I’m pretty sure this time around we can expect at least a official stinger mantis set. as for the latest episode. Loved every second. I don’t know how to do spoiler tags on my mobile but did anyone catch the name of the ...? -

I knew this would happen, just not this fast. Excellent -
I have the brickvault version and it is excellent and minifig scale. If you can’t get the u project instructions I would still recommend brickvault

Impressive. Has this been built for real? Any chance of a vid of this in action? I’m curious about the mechanism. Looks like a real challenge but a heck of a showpiece

It’s that time pre-release when it seems everyone in US is picking up the new sets early from an unnamed local toy store according to reddit. Happens every release cycle. In the UK these sort of shops barely exist, if anyone know of somewhere In UK they are available early, please dm me! :) -
Where is the vid?

This makes me quite sad But I understand. Whenever I see anyone buying the knock off version I always encourage them to go buy the official instructions. Every build of yours I have done has been special and I look forward to these like I do Lego UCS releases. The expectation for this quality of instruction to be free is absurd.

I think the Plastic composition of axles is different to that of plates and tiles. Nothing to back that up but they feel different
