  1. Never liked it, not spacy enough (hate the clear trans canopies!) and the bugs suck Parted out a bunch of them but figs/GS parts didn't seem to sell. And the set where discounted heavily here in DK like forever So, I'd say not a great succes for TLG There will be space in the future, but it will be like this, 1-2 waves, very different from SW and nothing like CS Cheers, Ole
  2. My first castle set! Made my yellow castle old hat in a split second Many of the specialty parts where a first for 1984. I love that TLG threw in a saddle even though it's not needed as such (like the extra wheel in the blacksmith set) Cheers, Ole
  3. And according to your video, they work well too
  4. I have +2k of them so I don't worry. But I f I did have a BL shop I'd up my price 2-3x
  5. Nice video, great job Cheers, Ole
  6. Not sure if I get your jist .. but as long as the set is discontinued, it's okay to buy a fake set? What do you mean when you say you bought "4 'discounted' helicopter sets (with the Fiorano wheel covers) because I felt there was more value in the extra parts as opposed to pay full price on BL" .. does that mean you bought fake LEGO? You need to spell it out for dumb folks like me, please Cheers, Ole
  7. This set is going to rise the price on 3L pins @ BL significantly
  8. They're not "mounted" at all, just attached by the nozzles. Not a great way to do that, imho
  9. He, you, I and everybody else do certainly not have "freedom of speech" here. I'ts a private forum. If the owners decide we can only talk about Minitalia in a long forgotten norwegian dialect, it's their call and we can do zip about it Still, knock off sucks and I can't fathom why anyone would buy that crap
  10. Those trains do not really have gearboxes. The huge 3-4000 HP engine drives a generator that delivers power to multiple electrical motors. A gearbox/drive train to 12 wheels through two turntables would be a nightmare in real life and would never provide the huge torque electric motors have so that does not exist Making it 8x8x48 puts it quite close to City trains and it would be wierd if it did - or did not - fit on regular LEGO tracks Now, a steam train with it's complicated push rod systems would be cool and duable with Technic if it was in the scale of the old Perkins set (396) .. or perhaps even bigger Cheers, Ole
  11. Somewhat crazy that people can whip up super mods AND fix the very serious problems of this set in just a few days I mean ya all just a bunch of nerds sitting at home with a few thousand parts and a couple of hours to spare. Just think if YOU had three years, ALL the LEGO in the world (including the option to have new parts made), loads of people to help you (making sandwiches, getting cold beers and taking the dog for a walk) while you just rack you brains to make the Ultimate Supercar Boggles the mind it does ..
  12. Pretty sure Linear Actuators longer than 15L will be apriciated also It's not that hard to break a 15L liftarm or a 2x16 plate or just about any brick, so I think that argument is void. I can clearly see a use for much longer liftarms (like for that recent blue crawler crane) The 32L axle is kinda useless as it twists too much compared to one made up of a few axles+axles joiners. They are great for making minfig scale elevators though
  13. Nice model How are the two long thin actuators attached? With a bunch of nasty stickers and some more colour vomit it could easily be an official TLG model - good work there Cheers, Ole
  14. I luv that set too. It was on 50% sale like forever here in DK and I made a lot of money on that @ BL Not a bad looking car and nice of TLG to try something new even if it wasn't up to EB's "supercar" criteria Cheers, Ole
  15. That's not very nice of you. BL sellers provide loads of parts (and sets) that you can't get anywhere else. The price is set by demand (if they want to sell that is), nothing blood sucking about that at all But they're surely not breaking IP, pissing on TLG and generally have a wee bit more morale that the knock off companies, so there's that Cheers, Ole
  16. Soneone made a nice Classic Space background (forgot who, sorry!), it's 1920x1080 so I'll just put a link : http://blacktronite.com/space_background_1.png Cheers, Ole
  17. Would be nice to have 2.5L, 3.5L, 4.5L etc axles
  18. Yeah, 16L sorry, not enough coffee yet
  19. There are 16L 15L half withds out there
  20. You did not save any money as you did not get any LEGO. Instead you blew a lot of money on complete waste AND supported a very dubious company Get that BL account, I really don't know what's holding you back
  21. This is probably better suited in the Community section .. But who the heck spends half a life time (+ serious money) on this and just suddenly let's it go? And why collect all those sets never to open them? I'd go crazy with all those LEGOland boxes! Anyway, brasletty will probably buy the lot, haha Cheers, Ole
  22. Hello, the 70's just called Cheers,Ole
  23. GK, yes they're 180 degress out of phase. That cancels a lot vibrations. Each pump goes to pneumatic tank which is then combined to be used for the switches. I'm using old pumps (5.5L) Buy a LEGO pneumatic pressure gauge and you always know if iyou're doing right
  24. Ultimate cock up that is, and they succeded
