Electro still looks great. I might actually get an extra. Ugh, I like that Captain America figure too much. Guess I will be getting the Hydra set after all. Good thing it is $20 and not $30....

Speaking of Thor, does it look like his hair is bright yellow to anyone else (as opposed to cool yellow like before)?

Good to see that Electro definitely has transparent arms. Now I'll definitely get at least one copy of the set even though the four-wheeled trike is the worst concept and execution for a Spider-vehicle yet, or maybe tied with that polybag. Wait, it looks like there is a function that'll make Spidey catapult out of it onto the road or towards electrocution...yeah, this is the worst. Did it come from the same mind that brought us the Batwing with Joker chopping action? But still, Electro! I'm actually not so sure about that truck now. Out of box, something about it seems off. I think I'll skip this, but a review could sway my opinion. Ock looks great though. I still don't like much about the copter, either. It seems a little better in these bigger images, but not much. I'll see if I can find it on sale just for Power Man and MJ. I still detest that Goblin.... The Hydra tank looks a bit better now, but it is still pretty bad. Again, I might wait for a sale with this one, and even then I'd only get it for Cap. And then the AIM lab actually looks much more enticing now. I like all of the figs, even Thor, except for MODOK, but he's MODOK, so he wasn't going to look good anyway... It also seems like a decent parts pack on top of this, so I'll definitely get this one.

Thanks for sharing. My thoughts: 76014: I don't care for the spider-trike, but Ultimate Electro actually looks cool. I think I'll get this for him and all of those lightning pieces. I still have none. 76015: Sadly, this is probably the best set (build wise) but it's something that could be featured in the City line. Classic Ock is cool, but I might skip this. It's too costly, and doesn't offer much new. Replacing the guard with a more interesting character would be a good start.... 76016: I still don't like that Goblin fig or the copter, but I might get this anyway for Power Man and MJ if I can find it at a decent price. $50 is just too much...I'm hoping it's no more than $40. 76017: This is my least favorite. I'd like to get Cap, but that tank. I don't care about Red Skull much either. I might get this, but I doubt it. I'll probably just wait for Avengers 2 sets for Cap. 76018: Seems pretty lackluster. Kind of like the Helicarrier set but with a few better (or maybe more diverse would be more correct) minifigures, more colors, and a worse design. I'm not going to say I won't get it, but I'm not sold on that Thor or MODOK (but I've never actually liked MODOK, so...). So, I guess that I'm mostly unsure about this wave. It has some cool stuff, and nothing quite as bad as the flying Bat-claw, but the wave overall just doesn't feel much better. At least Marvel is trying harder with minifigure variety, I suppose. I hope that the X-Men stuff and a later DC wave (I'm assuming that we'll get GL this year until I'm wrong ) show some improvement. I think that it is based his appearance in the USM cartoon. It is pretty similar.

This is a screen capture from that review I found on Flickr. I can't wait until these sets start showing up. I really want Batgirl and Flash.

I'm not familiar with her, so I have no comment, but she at least has an exotic look. I'm excited that Wonder Woman is finally going to be on the silver screen. I just hope that this movie doesn't bite off more than it can chew....

The sleeves and torso are cool, but I just can't get used to these heads. I'll probably pass.

I don't think that Joker's steamroller is so bad, either. I have a few small nitpicks, but it is really Batman's plane that makes the set so bad. What were they thinking? Of course the spider-copter has a couple of good figures to make the set desirable... Still not sure about it though. Even if the copter turns out alright, a lot of the set's budget probably went into producing that atrocious Green Goblin big-fig.... So the "concept art" was just how these characters have looked for the past 50 years? If they are based off of the same material as the action figures, then Thor wouldn't be the design from the video game (which I'd be okay with, to be honest). Also, it seems like the figures came out this Fall, while the LEGO sets aren't coming out until Spring next year. I'm not sure if that would be enough time to iron out any small inaccuracies, but all of the USM figures have been pretty close to their counterparts so far (except JJJ, and maybe MJ, I guess) so I don't know why this show would be any different. Unless there is a label that says so (which there probably will be...), then I guess that they technically aren't AA figures. MODOK in the game doesn't look like he does in the show, at least not the images I'm seeing. AA actually managed to make him look worse than usual. The other characters (Cap, Red Skull, Falcon, and Task Master) pretty much have their classic designs in the show, so nobody would ever know the difference. I also think TT would know if Thor was going to get a helmet and rendered it, but I guess that it's still possible that he will. I do think that this year's SH sets has a lot of new molds already though, with at least Flash, Batgirl, and Electro's headpieces, Green Goblin, MODOK, possibly a new hairpiece for Power Man (though I doubt this, as cool as it'd be) and then we don't even know what Guardians of the Galaxy and X-Men will bring. With all of this, Thor's helmet, like Riddler's cane, was probably cut.

Was there ever actually a source that these were based on Avengers Assemble, or was that just something that we guessed? Because if the characters in those two sets use MODOK and now this Thor's designs from the video game and that leaked Hulk was official, then it doesn't seem so likely. Cap, Falcon, and Red Skull could be based on their appearances in the show, but from the images I'm looking at, they are close enough to their classic looks that it wouldn't make a difference. I'm not sure about Taskmaster, because I couldn't find any images of him in the show (has he appeared?) but the USM design is also the classic one. Shhhh...LEGO might hear you. I missed this image of masked Wolverine when I shared Thor. I think we might get it in one of the X-Men sets, since he doesn't have printed tights or boots.

I always feel strange not liking "Christo's" Flash when everyone else seems to. The quality that the figure is reproduced with is great, but I never liked the helmet or face in the video game. Also, this screenshot just showed up on Brickipedia. It's probably the Thor figure we'll see in the lab set. I think I like the movie version better. This one looks too surfer boy.

I don't think anyone has shared an image of Man-Bat's second face yet, but I found this while browsing on Flickr. It looks sort of awkward. This is also a good image of Batgirl, but with a placeholder cape. I can't wait for this figure.

It looks like MODOK uses a normal torso and legs in the game and only the head is special, so maybe that's why he is considered a normal minifigure?

It seems to be based on Damian Wayne, and he is only about ten years old, so that's probably why.

Thanks for sharing, guys! That Hydra tank is pretty ugly. Maybe I'll wait to get Cap with Avengers 2 sets. Glad to see the Steamroller! The set is sort of meh, but I love Batgirl and Damian is cute. I wish that they had double sided capes too, but I have enough Batmen that I can easily give Batgirl one of his.

There is an image of the "classic" Cap over at Brickipedia. I hope that LEGO prints the face a little better than before. That was the main reason I didn't pick up the Avenging Cycle when it was out.

I've been in a few situations similar to this, one of them with the same guy too by the looks of it; unless someone is copying his "work" too. I left a comment on the photos similar, to your reply, and he deleted the image. Not much later I found a slightly changed one in his photostream, which he did remove when I pointed it out. Anyway, I'm sure he'll comply now that he has been caught. And cool minifig.

I'm not sure what you are talking about. New York Toy Fair was back in February, pictures were allowed, and they weren't showing sets off that far in advance.

Penguin is holding the detonator. Anyway, we don't know what to expect from 2015 yet. I'm sure there will be some Batman/Superman and Avengers sets, but there may always be a few comic ones mixed in. But the longer this theme goes on, the harder it is to be optimistic. I'm happy to get Batgirl, Flash, and Nightwing, but they could have done a lot better than Man-Bat and a repeat Riddler. The Captain America and Hulk sets sound good though.

It's not a deal breaker that they aren't included, but since they are such simple things to put in the set, it's a little annoying that they weren't. I wish, but the sets this year had that in their names too.

I like both of these sets. It's good that they are changing Penguin up a little. I'm a bit disappointed that Nightwing doesn't seem to have his escrima sticks though.
