Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
Stuartn replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Well its taken about 17 years but finally a grocery store! And farm! It is interesting that there are more stunt and wildlife sets, since City normally only continues waves from memory (by adding more sets) the Great Vehicles and trains subthemes, and recently the My City theme. Even individual police waves don't get sets released across multiple waves. -
LEGO Star Wars 2022 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Stuartn replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It was rumoured for the 1HY wave this year, however all of those sets are either known or are known to be from a different source such as TBOBF. While it did originate from a semi-reliable source none of the major leakers have confirmed its existence and its looking more and more like it is probably false. Whether something similar appears in the 2HY we are yet to see. -
[M11-Nubia-CS] The Arrival
Stuartn replied to Stuartn's topic in Factions: A Galaxy Divided Archives
Thank you, it does look a lot like a fishing boat, I do agree an accent colour would look nice, and some extra weathering too -
Hopefully this means a bigger train, or maybe an included station, a more complete train would be welcome as we've never had a City one that is either complete in one set or more than three carriages.

I don't think it is confirmed yet, but not out of the question. The movie has been in development hell, but casting has recently started, and that could potentially start a false rumour. I would have doubts based on the amount of military content in the movies that could be less acceptable today, but if the new movie is coming out it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect Lego sets to tie-in.

LEGO Star Wars 2022 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Assuming the US$45 set is a the advent calendar, I wonder what the Australian price will be, as that is an increase in the US price if I am correct? -
Great build, I really like the weathering technique using ingots on the sand green building, and the composition is perfect
-
Great build, I am not a superhero fan, but some nice detailing all around in the build

LEGO Videogame Tie-Ins - Rumors & Discussion
Stuartn replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Just a question, are the instructions for this set available from Lego customer service yet, I haven't been fully tracking the set release and am not sure how far it has got to release. I am not a fan of Overwatch, and fully understand Lego's reasons for the postponement, but thought there were some clever construction techniques in the set, and was wondering if the instructions were available, if this set isn't ever released? -
[M11-Nubia-CS] The Arrival

Thank you, originally I was going to use just regular tiles, but had nowhere near enough, and the road plates do look quite acceptable. -
*Your entry has scored 17XP* Previously: Part 4 Lt. Col. Dreyfus Merrik stood on the frosty Nubian landing pad. Located in the Nubian country side - the duracrete pad was something of an anachronism in this desolate steppe. Far away from Nubia's industrial cities, it was home only to an old airfield tender. But Merrik was expecting something. The officer had been privy to the briefing between Lt. Gen. Senesca and the Director General of Intelligence. He was now being sent to Nubia to conduct 'preliminary investigations', in essence, a scouting operation to identify the rumoured Imperial Forces and if possible, almost a footnote, to locate the target for extraction. This mission had taken him here, to the abandoned airfield. With two special agents, and a blaster pistol tucked in his pocket, he awaited the arrival of an Imperial transport. The Ithorian he had spoken to would want to be right about this. It was already a couple of minutes late. 'Sir', called one of the agents, pointing to the sky. There it was, shooting through the skies above, an Imperial transport ship, coming right for them. Merrik begun to regret this mission. But before he could second-guess himself, the dropship come to rest before him on the landing pad. Out of the ship walked an Imperial technician, an elfish-humanoid, blaster pistol in hand. He stood directly in front of Merrik. 'Officer', he begun succinctly, 'we believe you are aware of something that we have tried very hard, desperately, if you will, to locate. Let's make this easy for all of us and you just leave us alone'. The CorSec officer would have none of this, if not to protect his pride and dignity, then to stick it to the Imperial officer whose smug arrogance really bothered him. Nevertheless, he couldn't help but be aware of the party of stormtroopers gathering around the officer. But he finally strung together a sequence of words in his mind which seemed a fitting rebuttal to the Imp. 'Quite the contrary sir, we suggest you leave us and we won't bother you. This is a New Republic planet and we'd appreciate your swift departure'. The Imperial did not answer, and seemed to contemplate the events in his mind. The thought processes ruminating in his mind were demonstrated on his face which gave a puzzled expression. After a moment, he nodded the the stormtroopers around him. The CorSec agents did not even have time to react. Once it was done, the Imperial officer turned to the stormtrooper on his right. 'Have the bodies- err, evidence - removed, and set about acquiring those speeders from our contact, the target is nearby'. Thank you for viewing, and comments and feedback welcome. I recall that one, they had two like that, in 2008 and 2013, and both worked really well and I really liked the life raft or catamaran which come in each respectively. The 2013 coast guard ship also had a small helicopter with a winch, and it was great to have a small scale helicopter that a) looked good (especially for the smaller scale) and b) still had functionality and swooshability, compared to the small forgettable ones we get now in every set. The 2015 news traffic/news chopper was also great for a small scale. I also liked the 2013 fire helicopter which also had the recoiling winch and had a very nice shape, it also sat very low to the ground which looked far better. I also liked the police chopper in the museum break in. It was a small four wide chopper ( and debuted the common canopy piece) but its inclusion really enhanced the set and the colour was nice.

Thank you, the force aspect won't have much to do with the overall storyline I am planning, but it will feature again. I am not sure where I got the idea of an art museum, but it felt suitably distinctive for use in a MOC. -
*Your entry has earned 3XP* PREVIOUSLY: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/189034-m11-nubia-cs-the-briefing/ MORE PREVIOUSLY: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/189032-m11-nubia-cs-the-beginning/ PART 3 Technical officer Raymond Lei was less than happy about his previous assignment, launching patrols on Bellassa against Imperial forces. While it was a rare opportunity for actual action, the technical officer (equivalent of a warrant officer), was not one for combat. He was hardly a pacifist, having first served the New Republic in many mopping-up operations, but placed more emphasis on the safety of his droids than himself. That was why he rode in the clunky and uncomfortable cargo hold of his GR75 transport, despite its practical emptiness on this mission. He would prefer to spend time with his droid who was allocated a space in here. K1-L3R, whom Lei nicknamed 'softie', was his favourite droid to work with. Despite being armed with four heavy blasters and weighing over half a tonne, he did not like deploying her in combat. An anti-personnel droid, she was designed as a cheaper and more effective alternative to light, obsolescent walkers, and therefore acted as a carrier mule for her weaponry, needing humanoid input (Lei's) to receive instruction's which would then be operated independently, deploying force autonomously only when threatened. having been assigned together for almost a year, droid and operator had become attached, and neither wished to be thrust into battle neither was suited for. At this moment, as he reflected on the leave he would be taking back on Corellia, Lei's comm's panel lit up: 'Technical officer Lei?', said the voice. 'Affirmative'. 'This is Lieutenant Dreyfus, letting you know that HQ on Corellia want us to redirect to the Nubia System, you and your droid are needed apparently, they aren't telling us what for'. 'Roger that'. 'Err. . . it's Lieutenant Dreyfus, not Roger, who's Roger?-' Lei hung up on the inexperienced pilot, who could be heard from the bridge yapping on about his unexplained passenger, Roger. 'Looks like we're being deployed again softie'. 'Beep, beep, beep-beep', responded K1-L3R in an excited tone, the aptly-named droid liked getting to shoot things. Thank you for viewing yet another one of my small vignettes, comments and feedback are welcome, and hopefully I'll have a more substantial MOC to post soon.
