Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
admiral_typhoon replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
This makes me wonder if GOTG3 will also feature the Benatar, and if the eventual sets for it will do the same downscaling that they did for the Milano in 2017. As for the set itself, I think it'll take some liberties like the Hulk helicopter set, especially if we consider the theory that they'll want you to buy both sets to have a big Endgame battle display, even though the ship was never featured in it. -

Benatar? New BP helmet mould? Weird choices...but I'm not against them, provided they're done right. -
A bit late to posting these, but it's never too late to post rovers. My builds for Febrovery 2021 31107 MOD Febrovery 2021: 31107 MOD by Admiraltyphoon, on Flickr Febrovery 2021: 31107 MOD by Admiraltyphoon, on Flickr I made this in January after I got the City 60222 Snow Groomer from a secret Santa in my LUG. I wasn't really happy with the wheels of the original set so I modified the axles slightly to accommodate the tracks while still keeping the neat suspension, which gives it a much rugged look. Module Trailer Unit Febrovery 2021: Module Trailer Unit by Admiraltyphoon, on Flickr Febrovery 2021: Module Trailer Unit by Admiraltyphoon, on Flickr A trailer unit designed to transport cargo, whether it may be containers or habitat modules. Made around the same time as my 31107 MOD, as I still wanted to use the wheels in some other way. I still had the modules of 60227 Lunar Station built in the corner of a shelf. I hoped the interior of 31107 would've been bigger, and thought about combining the sets and making it longer, but the orange would've clashed with the red/blue, so I made this trailer. Febrovery 2021: Module Trailer Unit by Admiraltyphoon, on Flickr Monowheel Scouting Rover Unit Febrovery 2021: Monowheel Rover Unit by Admiraltyphoon, on Flickr Febrovery 2021: Monowheel Rover Unit by Admiraltyphoon, on Flickr A small scouting & reconnaissance unit, also found inside Trailer Units in case of emergencies. I had a spare wheel. Not sure where it came from, but I wanted to implement it in some way alongside the rovers, and remembered the old Life on Mars sets and how they had a tiny monowheel vehicle. Halfway through designing it I put it in the middle of the Trailer Unit chassis, and with enough space to spare, I made it as compact as possible to fit behind the trailer. Febrovery 2021 by Admiraltyphoon, on Flickr Thank you for checking out these Febrovery 2021 builds!

Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

I honestly can't see New Asgard/Thor's house showing up in a set yet - it had little screen time during EG, it had no distinct visual designs and most remember it only because of the Hulk truck/Fortnite jokes, but it could be more plausible if it ends up having a bigger role in Love & Thunder. I'm in the Asgard set camp - it just seems easy to make a set with an Asgard facade with rooms showing scenes from all 3 movies + the rainbow bridge, kinda like this: Just push the "wall" to the back of the bridge and have a simple version of the dome at the front. -

Is that supposed to mean "we don't know yet which set Korg is in" or "Korg is not in the final battle set"? I think if we do get a bald thanos it would end up being with a stud on the top, because I can't see it with a shiny bald top unless they chisel up his face to look more like the movie, which would end up looking so out of place with the others. -

You've got a point there. Some of the figures might be too detailed for the budget to allow them in a normal retail set, especially one where there's already lots going on in terms of minifigures with special moulds (Korg, Rocket) an bigfigs (Thanos). The CMF (or perhaps even the D2C) might be the best place for these figures that would benefit greatly or make them more desirable from more detail/moulds e.g. MK 85 with dual moulded arms/legs, Cap with Mjolnir & broken shield, Iron Patriot with new armor, Fat Thor with new beard/hair and new stormbreaker mould. -

The only improvement they could make to the MK85 is dual-moulded arms. Looking at the list, one thing springs to mind - we have a iron man 1 set and a TFA set, but not a set giving us a pre-fat thor. My guess is that the 76193: $149.99/149.99€ (1901 pieces) set is Asgard. -

If the Dragon Flyer set was BP-based it'd be a chance to give us a missing character like M'Baku, Daniel Kaluuya's character or a generic army builder Wakandan Soldier, and while they did show up in the background in IW and EG they showed up mostly in BP, but I'm not sure if I'd want a reissue of Killmonger. Also kinda glad the TFA set is $10, Original suit Cap and a Hydra armybuilder soldier sounds sweet. -

I sincerely hope they bring back the MCU iron man helmet and not the newer 1-piece one...I suppose it would also make sense to keep it in production for whenever we get sets for Armor Wars and Ironheart. -

This list just sounds amazing by itself I thought the BP set would be non-MCU, but turns out the other type of Wakandan fliers are indeed called Dragon Flyers https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Dragon_Flyer -

hm, but sand blue does not fit that design - at most it would be dark blue. -
[MOC] Spider-mechs: SP//dr and Leopardon
admiral_typhoon replied to PRbrickbuilder's topic in LEGO Licensed
Really neat mechs! I like that you made it able to both fit minifigs. My favourite parts have to be the legs - the technic parts for SP//DR and the WW84 panels for leopardon.- 2 replies

I know, to the point where I made my own version of SP//DR (albeit with no figure): https://www.instagram.com/p/Bt6WUl0nBAx/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link I'm hoping Lego makes her when SV2 comes out, along with Supaidaman and Leopardon, because there's no way they'd miss a chance to do the only few canon Spiderman mechs...right? -
It's a bit of a cheap move (assuming they stay within 12 figs so wasted slots since they're not from the classic line-up), but I can see the bugs bunny head being made in a way that the ears are assembled as a separate component, so they can make another ears piece for Lola, or just go the lazy way and make the same head in tan with different printing. For Tina, they could just add a stud on top of Daffy's head, so they remake it in tan/light yellow and add a short hair piece from Friends. I assume these are the main ones guaranteed to show up: Porky (confirmed) Bugs Bunny Daffy Duck Wile E. Coyote + Road Runner mould (no way they're giving him his own spot) Taz Sylvester Granny + Tweety mould Elmer Fudd Yosemite Sam Speedy Gonzalez That leaves 2 or 6 spaces left, while these are secondary/lesser known: Marvin Foghorn Leghorn Lola Bunny Tina Pepe Le Pew Penelope Pussycat Petunia Pig From here on it's pretty much the more obscure ones. I can't see Pepe and Penelope happening at the same time only because they barely have any differences visually, and honestly Petunia, although an easy reuse of Porky's headpiece, is already a stretch and seems more obscure than secondary. EDIT: put Taz twice. Thanks DBlegonerd7!

S21 was revealed on the first of December and released mid-late December/Early January, so I'm guessing we'll get Looney Tunes news in early April and release late April/Early May.

LEGO Ninjago 2021
admiral_typhoon replied to Driver Brandon Grumman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
It does seem indeed that the hood/goggles are one double-moulded piece while the breathing tubes are separate, and their back might perhaps have the same design as the firemen mask, which sort of clips into the airtanks, but I don't spot those behind them. I think they're neat, especially the wrinkled detail of the goggles wrapping around the hood, but awkward at the same time - could be because of the gap between the shoulders and the tubes, making it look like it's taller. I would've preferred if the tubes had been lower and just above them, almost looking like shoulderpads. -

I'd say the Jaguar Formula E car is at least a pretty close "preview" of how we could expect 8-wide F1 cars to look like.- 755 replies

Honestly when the 18+ range was announced I thought of it as the perfect way for them to do display pieces like the Gauntlet, Mjolnir, etc. I think in a way, the further we are from the Infinity Saga the less chances there are that they'll make a IG set for fear of not selling well as people will have moved on/have alternatives. I'm not opposed to a BP helmet set, but I'd really worry about how they would end up making the silver lines in a good-looking way, plus most of the detailing would get lost in the black + the studs. -

I doubt real life size is comparable to the number of parts a set is gonna have - checking pics of both cars, the supra has more shaping than the Jesko, so my guess is that it will just use more parts for the detailing of the front and back sections.- 755 replies

Looks to me like the Ferrari/Lambo windscreen would be just close enough to avoid them making another new windscreen. The elva will also be interesting since it'll be the first SC set to not include a windscreen!- 755 replies

New LEGO Speed Champions 2021 Rumors, Speculation
admiral_typhoon replied to Bartlomiej's topic in LEGO Town
Elva and the Corvettes sets seem the most appealing at first thought/sight, but I'm curious to see how they do the Supra's headlights and what's the last set. It's also good that they're looking at other licenses as well - white/lime/black on the koenigsegg might not look so bad, and hopefully one of the sets might actually give us the 2nd style of 6-wide windscreen as an unprinted part.- 755 replies

DC Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
admiral_typhoon replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I had a feeling they wouldn't do the mouth, which is why I secretly hoped they'd actually do the Armored batman helmet from TDKR/BvS - it would fit the "clunky" aesthetic these end up having, and the dark grey would contrast better with the empty inside as well as the box. The light glare and slight blurriness of the leak isn't doing this thing any favours at all. -

On a semi-related note to MCU stuff, I guess the CMF beekeeper has been in high demand for those who are making WandaVision MOCs - I got one today but I tried swapping the heads to see how well it works as an AIM soldier/scientist: Left is a black head, right is the 2020 AIM goon head, but I guess I should've tried swapping the hands as well.
