  1. That's not a series I collected, plus I'm not in a position to import stuff from GB right now.
  2. There's a Simpsons giant bag on eBay right now. I've personally never seen a giant bag, but I really wish I had. Even more, I wish I had one!
  3. It's interesting that you guys have still held to the figure. I am not really into buying figures of this rarity because they really are out of the budget, but I am really curious as to what you guys (or your son, since he's in charge of it now) are planning to do with it now. Keeping it for life, or just waiting for a good enough offer?
  4. I guess that'll put the matter to rest.
  5. Honestly I would like to see sets from other Hannah-Barbera shows, rather than more Scooby. Would not complain, though.
  6. Whaaaat. It's either a great fake or an unusual manufacturing error. In the latter case I don't doubt more than one scalper would try to sell it for a fortune.
  7. Interestingly, there is no longer a trace of the existence of Mr. Gold in the website at all (not even in the bios), or the collection lists. Sounds like they don't want to remind people of an exclusive item that pissed a lot of people off. Hopefully that means we won't ever see such a rare chase figure as him in the series again.
  8. Not sure if a joke or a terrible attempt at a prank...
  9. Wow, you get all 60 figures for your collection? I wish I could afford to do that.
  10. Must not have been a very bright person. Ursula is the easiest to detect.
  11. They most likely will. I'm taking that as a given!
  12. I'm mostly bothered about the printing around Donald's bow. You can see yellow areas on the black printing. The eyes for the ducks are very different, and it only bothers me if I compare it with the renders.
  13. Have you tried going to a Target before May 1st? You can check their stock. I got all my figures last Sunday.
  14. Yeah, I honestly wish they would've just given me a refund of sorts. Heck, even a gift certificate for $4. They just went for it. I hope the guy was able to find another Jester fig. Anyways, goes to show that Lego needs to do something about these issues. While I see Nemo's point about $4 not being too much for most people, the reality is most of us are buying large amounts of these figs, and a $4 loss is felt. Lego needs to be responsible for its own mistakes and not make its customers liable for what is effectively a factory error.
  15. (Typo - Feel free to delete)
  16. Honestly, even if you do change your username, your old username will appear whenever someone quoted you on the forum. It would seem intractable to completely erase your name from the forum, even if you account and posts were to be deleted.
  17. There are some weird issues with these figures. My Cheshire Cat came with two tails, and I had a Maleficent come with two hads. Luckily, these were just extra parts, and none were missing in my figs. Yes, this experience is consistent with mine. I asked them to replace my Jester fig because its hat came lose. They first promised they would give me a replacement but I only received a blind bag. I wrote to them, because I was upset, and told them that as a customer I shouldn't have to pay extra for what is effectively a factory mistake. They took a few days to respond because they were "figuring out a solution", until someone at customer service voluntarily gave up their own copy of the minifig. Honestly, I'd just ask Lego for a refund. Or if that's not possible (not sure of how the legal tidbits work if you don't buy directly from them), a refund from your vendor. Totally know what you mean. I'm actually a Latin American, just not living there right now, so I know the pain of having to wait for new products forever.
  18. Yeah, pretty much. That seems to be the reason they'd rather include an evil robot in series 8 that looked like the old robot from series 1 instead of making a re-release. If I recall correctly the minifig encyclopedia says it was done for people who missed out on the fig in series 1. It might've been cheaper to recycle the old design (given that they both have the same molds), but they still went with a new design. As a rule of thumb, re-releases have historically not sold as well as new releases, and I think they're aware of that.
  19. Ahhhh these are so spot on! The Green Goblin I've been wanting since the Lego Marvel videogame.
  20. I actually never thought Series 1 was that great. I wasn't initially going to be a CMF completionist. But when I saw a full set of series 2 on Bricklink at a reasonable price (they didn't sell them in my country at the time), I went for it. When I received the figs I was so happy that I decided to buy Series 1 from the same seller, and I paid $3 per fig, because they had already been retired. And now here I am, completing all the numbered series and Disney, waiting for what's next. Unless it's really bad, I think I'll be getting the Batman series, and ditto for the new numbered series, but I'll give my wallet a break with the Ninjago series, since I'm not a fan of that theme.
  21. Which is precisely the reason they don't usually re-release stuff, regardless of whether or not they consider minifigs as sets or not.
  22. Technically a CMF is a set that consists mostly of a minifig, and a minifig that hasn't been released since 5 years ago can be considered old by some standards.
  23. Went to my Target after seeing they had a good suppy of these figs. Had to ask 3 people before someone actually knew what was going on. He went and got a box from the back. Got a full set! Also got charged less than $3.99 per figure for some odd reason, meaning that I paid less for my complete set of 18 Disney figs than for my complete set of series 15 figs.
  24. Don't know if anyone already pointed this out, but there's someone on eBay who's already trying to make some cash with a Mickey Mouse misprint. By this point I really doubt it is "extremely rare".
  25. Re-releases of old sets have usually not gone well for Lego. Legends, anyone?
