Yeah that is one of the strongest figures for sure. I was a big fan of the Aztec warrior, so seeing this guy so many years later is a delight for me. In fact, I am having a hard time picking my favorite of the series, in spite of my space-heavy bias!

Brickset's review has convinced me even more that this is an excellent series. For me, there are only two duds (surfer and violin boy), and I really don't mind them as much.

Thanks for the background, guys. If indeed this constitutes any trolling behavior (which seems to be a matter of debate), I wouldn't say all the blame resides with him, but also with the enablers that go and follow those campaigns. In this specific case, it doesn't seem that he has any attachment to the Jar Jar character, which is one of the most hated characters from the whole SW universe. So, in this case, it would seem they are trying to ruin a theme they don't like for others who are fans of the theme and who would actually buy the set. I hope Lego sees beyond this. Not sure how the poll works, but it looks like they just let the audience pick the theme, but note that they didn't announce they would make Jar Jar. I've seen some comments online and it looks like some of the people that voted SW want real Brickheadz. We will see.

I keep hearing this about M&R, but I am out of the loop. Can someone fill me in? I don't want to give this particular Youtuber any clicks. Why would he want a Jar Jar brickheadz? Is it tongue-in-cheek?

Late to the party (hadn't seen this thread), but I have a few things to say: 1. Amazing that we get two sci-fi figs in the new CMF series. I don't even know when was the last time this happened. So nice to get this after what has felt like a drought! 2. Big fan of that new droid coming out. Will definitely be Bricklinking the guy. 3. Here's hoping this 2021 or soon brings about the mythical purple spaceman and/or the green helmet in the classic mold!

I found the project on Ideas, and I came to the Sci-Fi forum to make sure people were aware of it. I didn't expect to find you here. I posted about your project on the Ideas thread, in case anyone there wasn't aware. I really like your model, and I think it is quite possibly the best representation of Robby in Lego form that is possible. I truly hope it gets the votes! PS: Not sure what the rules are here, but you might want to edit the title of your post to make it clear that you have an Ideas project now.

The only interesting thing we might've gotten that I can think of is Superman in his black suit, similar (but not identical) to the SDCC 2013 variant.

So regardless of this SW voting fiasco, I find it interesting that Lego just ran a context to pick which IP they'd do a set on. Back in the day, it was Lego begging IP owners to let them make sets based on their IPs. Oh how the turn tables.

This Batman figure is perfect! Will likely be picking up the pack now.

I don't think you can expect people to take your feedback in good faith when you call their work mediocre. Honestly this designer is being nice by being out there and open for contact.

Yeah it sounds like we might have gotten on the hype train way too early. Still, a chance that we might see some interesting minifigs.

Couldn't have said it better myself! On another note, it is a shame that these do seem to have lost some appeal as a complete collection for many. I think it was inevitable, though. As the years go by, the kinds of selections they make will shift. I was extremely disappointed with the heavy focus on City for S20, for instance.

These casting news are insane! I'd really like a new take on Doc Ock. Heck, I'd also love an updated version of the Tobey Maguire spidey suit!

Absolutely. There even is a thread for CMF ideas that supposedly get passed on to Lego through the ambassador program. I think also some few times set designers have popped in and answered questions. That being said, I am sure they are unaware of the vast majority of content that is discussed here.

Let's hope Lego isn't reading this thread and getting any ideas, or the theme is doomed!

That display is actually really nice. Usually BAM is a mess because it is not easy to have a full picture of which pieces are available.
