LEGO Ideas - 123 Sesame Street
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to TheBrickPal's topic in LEGO Licensed
The original Ideas submission included some human characters in the set. Somehow 6 minifigs doesn't make that much sense to me, although maybe I am just being naïve and hopeful, since I am hoping they complete the 8 main characters. This makes me wonder if potentially they would leave some minifigs for some potential future set? And looking at that picture of the Kubricks makes me wish we get Muppets minifigs someday! -

I did not know about option 2. I guess I should at least ask. Thanks! -

Are any BaM stations open in the US? If not, it is a shame that we'll miss out on these. -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Well, I think usually them being on a consistent slot is mostly a product of the second licensed series releasing a year after the first. If we discard those cases, then we are only left with DC comics being in the same slot as Batman movie, and HP series 2 coinciding with the release month of the first, which I'd say could conceivably be a coincidence. I wouldn't discount Disney releasing on January because of that history. -

Yeah, if the set does include minifigs, and the person didn't bother to show us a picture of the inside, I will be slightly annoyed. -

Not through any current set or minifig. -

Darn it! Whoever has this booklet already knows which minifigs are included! -

As much as it pains me, comparing his suit to the walls, I think he is medium lavender. I hope to be wrong! -

I was wondering the exact same thing. I no longer have the images of the set, but at a glance I thought that comparing against the Weasleys' shop could show which tone it is. -

Although the Penguin and Catwoman do not show up in the '89 Batman movie, I think such subtleties have usually not stood on the way of Lego including desirable figures in a set to sell it. I think they probably know that those are the most desirable figures from the Burton films that we have not gotten yet. Unless they anticipate more Burton sets, I would bet on them being on the Batwing set. -

Are those dark turquoise legs? Are they also from BaM stations? -

Very neat. The only thing that bothers me about the purple one is how the left leg has a different tone. Seems to be a problem with all of the purple ones. -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

Is this limited to animal molds? There's a couple of non-animal pieces I am after that I don't see yet listed on the B&P page (know their codes, but the search doesn't turn up anything). -

Looks like you've assembled a neat collection, @Brickr! Personally I'm after all monochrome minifigs that are not brown or gray. I think I have all the pieces I need now (with some pieces on the way), except for dark turquoise legs! Dark turquoise is one of my favorite colors, and it bugs me that we don't have a dark turquoise head yet! -

I'm not sure how easily fixable it is. The Mark II armor minifig seems to be molded in one of the metallic colors (can't tell if flat silver or pearl dark gray). In that case, the MCU helmet might mismatch, even if slightly, against the new torso. I am also wondering if the Iron Man microfig is the same as the one in the UCS helicarrier or if it has a new print. -

This is pretty neat! How do you populate this database? I didn't even know that hands were sold separately (and I recently purchased some torsos just for the hands...) -
I echo these worries. This also makes me wonder if S20 sales might take a hit from concerned parents.

Monochrome Minifigures
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to der seb's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Interesting. I have been trying Eucalyptus oil, since I've heard good things about it. It doesn't scratch the plastic, but it tends to leave a "ghost" impression of the print that takes long time to get rid of. Is there anything like that on your test pieces? -
Preventing Figure Crack?
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Forresto's topic in General LEGO Discussion
How about temperature swings, though? Big swings between hot and cold temperatures can cause thermal expansion and contraction, which can result in changes in stress in pieces that are assembled. Such a cycle of stress could, in my mind, conceivably result in failure by fatigue. -

Sorry to bother you guys again with the basics of print removal. I just ran a test on a torso. First, I tried using a towel. After I was done, I examined the piece against the light, and I could see the scratches in the direction I removed the print. I then tried using cotton (on the other side of the torso), and I had the same result. Is this unavoidable? -

Thanks! It seems to be more expensive in the US. Does it make the wiping process easier? Just curious. Also, did you guys notice this figure on the cover of the upcoming minifigure journal? Could it mean a classic spaceman in medium lavender is coming? https://www.thebrickfan.com/new-lego-puzzles-and-stationary-pre-orders-at-chronicle-books/
