  1. So you are one of the lucky ones that were able to order the orange spacemen! Dang, that's quite a flex. Congrats!
  2. Thanks so much for compiling this information. This looks like a challenging year to keep up with for Lego Marvel. My wallet is scared...
  3. Do we happen to know if Iron Man will have his MCU mold or the newer one? I am hoping they haven't retired the MCU mold...
  4. I thought they were listed but always out of stock. Was anyone able to order any?
  5. Lego seems to have listened to our pleas! I was getting really tired with the vehicle-centric sets. Good to see more location-based sets!
  6. Infinity gauntlet, finally! I am getting concerned that we'll be getting more good sets than my wallet can handle!
  7. @steyin fascinating post and really informative. Thanks for sharing. Ultimately, the distributors are probably the only ones that can point to the origin of these figures. They sure look cool, though! Really like your collection. Would love to see dark blue in ABS and higher numbers!
  8. Pirate ship sounds exciting. I didn't like the existing pirate much, though, so we'll see what happens when pictures come up.
  9. Would you mind sharing an image or saying what set it comes in? I keep hearing people talking about it, but don't know what piece it is.
  10. This is a very important consideration. I have seen some customs with such a high level of detail that it stops feeling like Lego, especially when it's because of excessive textures and custom molds. They start feeling like figures that just happen to resemble a minifig.
  11. Well yes, if you happen to be one of the lucky ones to stumble upon an untouched box, you are good. An unpleasant aspect of it is that, how can one be sure that nobody picked up any boxes and/or changed the order of the figures in a seemingly untouched box?
  12. While Lego keeps adding variations on minifigs and tweaking a few things here and there, I doubt we'll see them change the standard minifigure that much. At this point, the minifigure is very representative of the Lego brand, so I don't think they'll change their pieces significantly. Now, I'll say what I think the future of minifigures might hold, as someone with zero insider info and nothing but fan knowledge. I can imagine more head molds and accessories, some new colors, perhaps an increase in transparent pieces, and potentially increasing levels of print. For instance, right now prints don't reach near the toes, but that might change. Moreover, the current trend seems to move towards Lego representing everything in pop culture, so I'd expect the amount of specialized prints and molds for specific characters to keep increasing.
  13. Oh dang! Good eye! Regarding bright light yellow, I now regret hunting for the pieces last year, given that they'll be more widely available now. Oh well!
  14. Here died the last hopes of those who wanted to identify the figures in stores. Thanks for the confirmation.
  15. Are those curvy pieces used for the tree trunk new? I hadn't seen them before. This set looks perfect to me. I wasn't excited when I saw the original submission, but now I am very impressed!
  16. I know we had some new molds for the Sesame street line, but the fact that Eeyore is made entirely of a new mold is exciting! It makes me a little sad that we didn't get the Flintstones more recently, because maybe then they would have made a Dino figure. But moving forward, it's good to see this is no longer such a big obstacle.
  17. Looks bright light yellow to me. Thought the exact same things about the hands. But it might be tan instead. We need heads in new colors, though. Give us that dark turquoise head already, Lego!
  18. That's fair (me too), but they're probably keeping him exclusive as a selling point for the Venomasaurus set.
  19. Oooooh, I did not realize Lego had re-released the Adventurers car seat piece, much less that you could buy it through BAP!
  20. I think it's funny that you could essentially complete the figure for peanuts, whereas when the first Lesters were initially rare and limited, people paid hundreds of dollars for him.
  21. Oh that's interesting. When I first looked at it, I was wondering if it was a mistake. Gotta hope the back has a pig tale print!
  22. As an avid space fan, I have to wholeheartedly disagree. Star Wars has virtually zero things of interest for space fans. I happen to also like SW (because of the story and characters), but I have never thought SW ships are aesthetically pleasing. However, I'd concur that Lego has been pleasing space fans somewhat better than castle fans. Honestly, I'd be happy with either space or castle getting chosen.
  23. Funko: Hold my beer I for one am quite happy about Venom Spider-Ham. It's a minifigure I didn't know I needed. And always appreciate Lego putting desirable figures in small sets!
  24. Oh man, those who managed to order the torsos made out like bandits!
