DC Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Most of it looks OK to me, but the mouth just looks really weird to me. Hopefully it'll look better with better pics. -
Monochrome Minifigures

Interesting find. These are definitely out of my budget, but it would be nice to see ABS versions of the neon and dark colors show up at some time. -

I am so disappointed that neither Avatar nor Up got made. Would have picked up those for sure! -
Monochrome Minifigures

Well, I think it has been hypothesized that the recent transparent figures are not actually prototypes. I guess you could maybe call them 'unofficial releases'? I doubt they are prototypes given the numbers that we are seeing. They are technically genuine, just not officially released by Lego. -

I think the ghost from the Silent Mary with the transparent leg does not have it. -

How did you describe the spaceman to CS? Thinking about doing this myself. Confused because technically I can't point to a set he comes in. -

The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I was honestly conflicted with my vote. Recently I've gained some interest in Castle. I ended up choosing a diverse set of themes, with Ice Planet being my Space choice. I was sure that Classic Space would get enough votes without my contribution, and I thought it was important to show Lego that there is love for the other Space themes as well!- 991 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'll be happily surprised if they go back to 16 for the Marvel series. I won't assume that, though. Would rather be pleasantly surprised than disappointed! -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

I think it's a real shame that when we finally get a Marvel CMF, the series are now limited to 12 characters. As others have mentioned, I fully expect Lego to assign a significant fraction of those slots to characters we have gotten previously. -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

I think at this point one regular series a year is a fairly safe assumption for the foreseeable future. Also, didn't know you weren't that much into Marvel. Guess you're more of a DC/Batman person? -
Thanks for the link. Will have a lot of fun watching this auction!

I think Avatar has a decent chance. The show has recently experienced a resurgence in popularity, and the live show adaptation is coming relatively soon. For reference, Avatar merchandise seems to have sold well in recent years, with Funko releasing several figures and more coming this year. -

Thanks for that reminder. I think the appearance of versions of the trinity in the DC series underscores this fact. -

Aren't they likely to have access to any license belonging to either Universal, Disney, or WB? They seem to have good relationships with all of them. I don't know much of how licenses work, but it seems to me that they can pretty much produce anything from any of those studios that they set their minds to. -

I would agree with this in general. Disney has so many characters that have been untapped in minifigure form. Granted, Marvel and DC do so as well, but I guess you could argue Disney has a greater diversity of characters and settings. -

I've been a bit out of the loop regarding rumors for 2021. Any chance we'll get any Deathly Hallows sets, or does Lego seem to be leaving that for later? -

My main hope for this year is that that rumor of a Marvel CMF pans out. That is my new year's wish!
