Ongoing Transformers Rumors and Discussion
cosmic replied to NoOneOfImportance's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah Devastator is kind of a headache to produce. I hope the actual Hasbro Transformers line brings back Combiner Wars eventually so people like me who missed out on him can get him. Also unpopular opinion but I really liked Victorion, the fan vote bot, and would love to get my hands on a newer, more refined model of hers eventually as well. I agree the figure scaled Transformers should not replace the mainline series, but given how each brick built Transformers is easily $200 +, a set with figures of these characters can provide a way for people to get more than 1 character without forking over half a grand, to over a grand, depending on how many bots they get. The figure scaled Transformers would be unlikely to transform, but honestly, getting more than 1 character in a set sounds kind of exciting for me. It's also easier to photograph these characters together when they're small, lol. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
cosmic replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I completely disagree. Lego has never made a tiffany box, or a ring with diamond. We can get one or both with a groom figure. A small box to carry the ring mould, a new ring with a diamond attached that fits over a figures hand. We could also get a new leg piece for a figure on one knee, to represent the moment he pops the question. From the 1 knee stance, the ring mould, or the mould for the box in which the ring is carried, he could absolutely be made CMF worthy. Also, lets not pretend like we didn’t get a farm girl who’s only CMF worthy quality was her foal, or a regular city boy who’s only exciting trait was a violin, we’ve gotten boring normal figures before. But with a new ring mould, a new mould for the ring box, or potentially also a new mould for the legs, there are surely ways to make him exciting. Plus we could get one face with teary eyes showing excitement for the moment he hears yes, and an alt kissy face for the moment they get married. I don’t think we’ve yet gotten a male kissy face? And besides the princess CMF I don’t think we’ve even gotten many if any girls with that face. -

Completely feel this. I love the DC Universe and feel this pain. Hot take though, most of those characters should ideally be made in sets, with the CMF series providing variants for these characters. The fact that we have to hope to get only one variant of Speedy, knowing he'd likely never be produced again, is kind of a bummer in and of itself. The bar is so low for that theme lol. For example, Hawkeye, Wolverine, Storm, Captain America, Scarlet Witch, and Starlord/Tchalla were variants in their respective CMF Series. With DC, we should ideally have the same thing happening. But it is what it is, I guess. All I'm gonna say is it's overdue we got a Basketball player and we really need to get more unlicensed Power Rangers. That Red Ranger in Series 19 left me wanting more. Did they get a cease and desist? Is a conflicting Power Rangers line on the horizon? Why haven't we got a blue or green ranger since Series 19? And when will the Series 7 Bride get her groom? Did he dump her at the altar? How rude. -
ASLUME (formerly Batman (DC Superheroes) 2024 - Rumors & Discussion)

When you realize the Talia Al Ghul figure is completely inaccurate and she's only really shown up in black and green outfits in both the comics and animation..... Looking at that Talia Al Ghul figure they gave us years ago, I can't help but think she actually looks like Red Claw, not Talia. On that note, anyone else bummed out we'll likely never get Lady Shiva? I really liked her Beware the Batman costume, and was hoping we'd get that when the show was airing. -

God the new Hawkeye figures look sooooo incredible. I absolutely adore the Avengers Tower and AoU variants we've gotten recently. So apparently Agent Venom is in the comic art present on the Brickheadz box for the new Mark 5 Brickhead. Perhaps it would be too much to assume this is a sign of an Agent Venom figure being teased, but honestly? I would love for that to be the case. Lego loves making Venom figures, so I think this would be a great way to spice things up. Plus, that would be our 3rd comic accurate Guardian of the Galaxy! We had Nova in 2013, the Rocket Raccoon mech was confirmed to be based off a specific comic cover, wish I remembered which exact one but I do remember someone referencing the exact image and confirming. Any who, this would give a little more life to comic accurate Guardians, which I would really appreciate. On that note, I would love for Lego to take the opportunity to produce a great comic accurate Mantis, while her head piece is still in production. Before they retire that mould, I would love to see her in a comic variant, otherwise the likelihood of them bringing back the mould in the future looks rather bleak. I know the Guardians 3 sets were very close to comic accurate, with Starlord and Rocket being "good enough", but Mantis and Drax are still noticeably MCU accurate, even with their respective suits. So that would be fun to get. Weird picks, but I'd love to get Agent Venom, Silver Samurai, and comic accurate Hawkeye mechs next. I kind of just want at least one mech that's out of left field. Maybe a do over for War Machine because his last mech had such a disappointing figure. For me, that is. -

I was shocked to see a lot of negative feedback on instagram for the Bumblebee leak. I really enjoy this design. I think the head looks so good and I am vey excited to see how he scales next to Prime. As for the desire for Devastator, I think that would be very expensive to produce. Isn't he made of like 6 different Decepticons? If they're made to scale and released individually, each one would be around the price of Bumblebee, probably more given they are construction vehicles and he's a punch buggy (right? lol). If they are all included in one set they would have to be quite scaled down and that would minimize the impact of the Devastator, and likely still very expensive. I find that to be very hard to pull off, honestly. Agree that Megatron would be very exciting to get. And finally, how would you guys feel about Transformers as figures, ala the Kreo line? They have made so many Transformers at the scale of their mini Kreo figures, how would you feel about Optimus Prime as a mini figure? I personally would enjoy this, even knowing they wouldn't be able to transform. I just think these $200 + sets would easily rack up to amount to thousands of dollars if we get brick built versions of all the Autobots, Decepticons, and even Maximals that I would like to see. I'd love a mini figure of Arcee, curious how you guys feel about that. -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

This! It's so hard to vote i truly want all to be made. But as unpopular as it may be I really like reddish violet and bright yellowish green the most. Seems dark azure is on track to win, though. -
LEGO Videogame Tie-Ins - Rumors & Discussion

This is a perspective I have not yet considered. I appreciate that. However I must say, the figures to me are just fine if not great. It's a minor detail (in my opinion), that the hair colors don't match. I honestly just can't get over the price. Should be at least $20 cheaper. But as much as I complain I just know I'm going to buy it directly from Lego next time they have double VIP points... edit: meant to say $50 cheaper lol. Should have been between $200-$250. Lol -

i disagree, I enjoy the quality of detail and really enjoy how they were executed. But maybe that's what you mean? It's unusual for Lego to provide such attention to detail, so perhaps the knock off essence is the peculiarity of leg detailing and arm detailing, matched with newly moulded accessories, in anything outside of a CMF Series. Woah, lot's to comment on here. New moulds for the Ocarina, Links OoT hair, BoTW hair, Zelda's BoTW hair, the Master Sword, I believe that's it? But we also get dual molded arms and legs, plus leg printing. Still, I can't help but notice how empty the interior to the tree is for both buids. The Great Deku tree was basically a dungeon in Ocarina of Time, it feels awkward seeing it can only really fit 1 treasure chest and a couple of figures. Especially at this price point. At $300 i'd love to have both tree's built simultaneously. And if it only fits 1 tree at a time, I'd wish it was bulkier and had more interior space. We do have a lot of new moulds, but it feels like the actual scale and quantity of what he have is overpriced. A common sentiment, but I can't help but express it. Not happy about the price, but I love the characters we get to add into the world. Hetsu, 2 Korok's Navi, and the Deku Tree Sprout are all lovely inclusions. Kind of wish Hetsu had a sticker or printed belly piece but that may have brought the price to a meager $600 Rupees so thankfully they didn't do that. Also the Deku Tree Sprout looks kind of awkward and a little funny in front of the actual Deku Tree. Wish i could have both built at once, or that this was cheap enough to get 2 copies of. Hopefully we end up getting a CMF for this theme. I don't need the Fire Temple and Water temple armors for Link to be in said CMF, we can just get them as figures in sets. But I would like to get Ganon with a new headpiece, a Gerudo warrior or 2, some Breath of the Wild skins, some Sheikah Warriors, and some Zora to fill out the Series. Very excited about where this theme is headed. Hope it sells well. -

I have not yet tried A Link to the Past, but have heard great things. Unsure if they have a version available for the Switch, but if they do I'll pick it up eventually. Twilight Princess is another one I really wish I was around to play. I agree there is so much set potential, but I struggle to see how some could be affordable. Kakariko Village, the Fire, Water, Spirit, Shadow temples, Hyrule Castle, so much of this would feel awkward at a $20-$30 dollar range. But with all the potential, I'm really hoping they make this a full on theme. -

I forgot about Jessica! For some reason I speculate Lego is hesitant to touch previous SDCC characters. Which is kind of ridiculous given New 52 Green Arrow showed up in the Javelin, and Shazam has made a few appearances himself. Hopefully that sets a precedence for Jessica and the Phoenix to be mass released someday as well. I would love 2 variants of Jessica, one with the Man Bat wings in white, and another “regular” version of her. I think the fact that both figures need dual molded legs and arms plus arm and leg printing plays a big role in why they’ve been set aside. Maybe I’m a conspiracy theorist, but the ease of producing Spider Gwen with no leg printing may give her a leg up, no pun intended. Which is crazy given we’re missing comic variants of Electro, Shocker, Kingpin, big fig variants for Rhino and the Lizard, Mary Jane hasn’t had a comic variant in a decade, and Gwen Stacy was made of reused parts and completely inaccurate, while being exclusive to a D2C! So much uncovered ground for designs, it adds salt to the wound seeing us get so many Goblins, Miles, and Spider Gwen figures. And when we finally got new designs it was the absolute worst Lady Doc Ock and lady Electro figures literally no one cared for. And then there’s me still trying to get Squirrel Girl, lol. I probably sound crazy requesting her knowing we can’t even get classic villains for one of this themes biggest heroes. I’d say Spiderman is actually probably THE biggest hero for Marvel at the moment. Hopefully some Lego intern is perusing this thread. -
I respect where you're coming from. Don't be shy to check pick a brick online for some of the head and torso pieces that would usually come in more expensive sets. It's an affordable way to build your own figures, and many of the flesh tone characters are available through this method! I will say, in regards to the unlicensed figures being "neutral", many are "coded" to represent certain cultures. The Series 6 CMF Flamenco dancer is a clear nod to Spanish and possibly even Roma culture, the Series 24 Potter is African coded based off her head wrap, the BAM Chinese New Year figure is... well clearly Chinese. Not to mention the Series 7 and Series 21 Tribal Warriors are clear nods to Indigenous American tribes, the Series 11 Islander is a reference to Pacific Islanders, and so forth. They may not be perfect, but there are some options out there to choose from. Hopefully we see more culture nods moving forward. And don't forget to check pick a brick if you want to affordably obtain some of these flesh tone pieces.:)

In general, I wish they brought back the Bricktober figure packs that were once exclusive to Toys R Us. Just sell them through Target is my mentality. We got an exclusive Wu and Winter Solider figure for Marvel, plus some cool non licensed figures, many of them legacy characters. That was one of the biggest losses when Toys R Us fell off. I really loved their figure packs. Typically more exciting than some sets I would say. -
LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
cosmic replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The way Lars Homestead was our last excited GWP for this theme's May the 4th promotion... a shame. Really hope we get someone exciting as an exclusive mini fig next year. I wouldn't mind seeing one of Luke's kids from the IDW comics. But I can see that causing the same uproar Darth Raven produced among some fans, so who know's. Also kind of want Ziro the Hut to be produced in a legacy Clone Wars wave. I can see a set with Ziro the Hutt, Sy Snoodles, and Cad Bane being very exciting. Especially for those of us who did not want to spend bank on that hideous Bad Batch ship, just for Cad. Plus we can make the most of Sy Snootles mould by releasing her in a Jabba's Hut, Sail Barge, or both. And I know I said this before but give us Max Rebo's band! Who wouldn't want Lyn Me? We all love Twi'leks. Plus Droopy Mccool would be.... Mccool to get... okay I'll see myself out. -

The way I would eat up a Legend of Zelda CMF series! Honestly recently became obsessed with the franchise after beating Ocarina of Time, starting Majora's mask (maybe 25% through), and just starting Breath of the Wild. Don't know how I slept on this franchise until my adulthood but wow I am hooked. Beyond excited for the Deku tree release. Really hoping we get dual molded legs, leg printing, arm printing, new hair moulds, new accessories. I want to see the budget given to Vidiyo going to this, no exceptions. So excited. -

Advent Calendar is boring but who's surprised? The white mould for Spider Hams head is cool but makes no waves on the theme as a whole. Kind of annoyed at how often we get Spider Gwen. Over 10 years of this line and we never got comic versions of Black Widow, Wasp, or Scarlet Witch but we have like 10 sets with Spider Gwen, that's kind of lame to me. -

Call me crazy, but I would love to get mini fig scale moulds for Simba, Timon, and Pumba. Scar would be nice as well. And as unlikely as it is, I really want this new Ariel hair mould to be released on Pick a Brick. Love this hair piece. -

I don't mean to sound stupid, is this a reference to Across The Spiderverse? I've only seen into the spider verse, lol. That's not a bad lineup. I personally would request they do an actually comic accurate War Machine mech, an Ant Man mech, and honestly a Hawkeye mech could be so cool with a brick built bow and arrow. I'm a bit tired of Spider Gwen, she wasn't that exciting to begin with for me. Loki could be interesting if they give us a new design. As a huge fan of the 2020 iron Monger set, I hate to say it appears to be around the same size, and also bulkier than the upcoming Surtur set. Kind of awkward if you ask me. Wish we had a larger Surtur set released in the future. I know we have way too many expensive sets these days, but if we can get a giant Cap shield and giant Black Panther Gloves, a scaled up Surtur doesn't sound too impractical. Also, recently had the handle for my OG Milano crack on me. Unsure if I should just brick link the piece that broke, and the sticker sheet so I can have it look correct, or buy the new Milano. Without a new Gamora, this new Milano feels easy to skip on. -

I completely agree with the mechs. To each their own but I am so annoyed with the War Machine mech because it’s a completely original Lego design. We have wayyyyy too much uncovered ground from comic content to start producing original content. I was really excited to potentially get a comic accurate classic War Machine. We have gotten some cool comic based designs from the mechs, namely Rocket Raccoon and Black Panther, but I would love to see other characters explored. This does make a lot of sense. Completely respect the reasoning. I guess it just comes down to frustration knowing 10 figures is not enough to cover all the ground needed for the roster of characters we have missing. Jean Grey, Jubilee, Gambit, Charles Xavier, Bishop, and Morph would already makeup half the cast. Add Wolverine, Beast, Storm and Rogue to that and that’s all 10 figures, leaving no room for villains like Sabertooth, Mr Sinister, Mystique or Toad. I feel with Storm being in a CMF, she should be included since you’re not guaranteed to get her as the selection is random. I would be fine with Rogue being omitted given everyone has an equal shot of getting her if they buy the X-Jet. I’d rather the set be viewed as a way of rounding out the team rather than giving you the whole roster, feels impractical with 10 figures. As a huge Jean Grey fan I just really hope we get her. -
Obsessed with the Mona Lisa reveal/leak!!! I think the set looks amazing and looks really fun to build! It’s almost reminiscent of a puzzle the way the pieces fit together! So excited for that release.

What they didn’t tell you is, there is no X-Mansion. It’s actually a D2C buildable Wolverine. Actually, Lego Marvel and Lego DC are dead. This set is going to introduce the new rebrand, Lego Wolverine! To compete with Lego Batman. I’m joking, I hope. If the MCU keeps going slow on content they pump out we could (hopefully) skip the stupid Spiderman sets and have a few comic sets use that budget to introduce Helmet moulds for Thor and Cap in a few sets. Wouldn’t mind seeing a few characters show up in those $15 mechs too. Say, Cap, Thor, Hawkweye, and Iron Man in sets for the Winter Wave, with Ant Man and Falcon showing up in mechs. Then the actual Mansion could introduce a few exclusive heroes, like comic based Namor, Hercules, Dr Strange and Wasp. Feel free to get the most out of Thors helmet mould, throw him in a mech and a key chain. Oh, also Squirrel Girl, for some reason. Sigh. If only we could get more than 10 figs. Or a decent follow up wave to supplement the characters omitted from this set. A follow up wave would be genius because even if we do get Gambit, Jean, and Jubilee, I can see the same people complaining about missing out in Storm, complaining about them being exclusive to something this expensive. -

cosmic replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I am a trusted Lego leaker, and all 10 figures will be different variants of Wolverine… /s Just kidding obviously, lol. Makes sense it won’t be modular, we can always get a comic based Avengers Mansion which I believe was located in NYC, if we really want a NYC Mansion. That could be our introduction to Hercules, Tigra, and some other obscure heroes while also giving us classic variants for Thor and Captain America as well. I wouldn’t want to display this next to the Tower anyways. Having said that, I would love for Rogue and Storm to be skipped completely. I kind of want Sabertooth to be produced as well, but I guess they can always add him to a cheaper set. We’ll wait and see. What worries me is that the official Rivendell and the buildable Simba looked near identical to the survey leak images. This worries me because the survey image for the Mansion was HIDEOUS. The color scheme, the architecture on the roof, the depth, it was just so bad. I desperately hope some significant changes were made to that monstrosity. I really want to Like this set. -
Sonic the Hedgehog - Rumours and Discussion

I think they’ll have to mould his head, because if they make him completely brick built, he’ll be the size of a hulkbuster. But in game, he’s not much taller than Rouge or Shadow. They’ll probably brick build the rest of him. I could see him being around the size of the Superhero mechs. The one’s that sell for $15. -
Disney Properties 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
cosmic replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Looking back at the leak, I guess this does look near identical. Still, I can’t help but look at the official reveal and think, there’s a lot going on with the lower jaw. The images on the back of the box look fine, but the front image make his jaw look so ugly. -
Finally built the Winnie the Pooh ideas set I bought some time ago!! Well, I love it, for the most part, I love that Eeyore can fit in the hallway, with Pooh in the bed and Piglet on the chair, so you can have 3 figures inside the closed set, even if it is very compact. I find Tigerr, Eeyore, and Rabbit to be exceptionally well done, with little to no criticism for any of those, love them to bits. And I love how colorful and accurate the build is. That said, I wish piglet had the toddler body from Friends with a smaller dimension for the head mould. He looks a bit too large, even if you can fit him in the chair, it's a very tight squeeze. Also, Winnie the Pooh just looks so awkward. His head looks bulbous and somewhat angular, as opposed to the rounded shape it should have. His belly looks flat which makes the head look even bigger, wish he had a belly piece, or if the belly was moulded with the head, ala Gamorrean Guard. Also feel he could have had mid sized legs instead. His silhouette is just awkward. For the most part, a strong set. Hope we get Owl, Kanga, and Roo some day. Oh, and of course, Christopher Robin.
