  1. Really hope we get comic versions of the Guardians someday. Namely Drax, Mantis, Starlord, Rocket, Agent Venom, Angela, The Thing and Gamora. Open to seeing Yondu and Nebula as well. Nebula and Gamora are currently really easy to moc and Rockets cinematic orange jumpsuit has been adopted by many modern comics so his 2014 fig stands strong in a comic setting. But I really want a green Mantis and Green Drax with purple cape and pants someday. Not sure what the builds would be and what would prompt it. Maybe an 18+ comic based knowhere or Ego or Galactus that warrants the inclusion of obscure figures and variants. Maybe Angela’s hair piece could be introduced in a cmf first. Not sure how these sets or figs would release but one day I’d love to see it. same with the X-Men and F4. Once they enter the MCU they’re bound to get mcu figs but that doesn’t mean I don’t want them to go back and get comic variants no matter how accurate the cinematic suits end up being. I still want 90’s versions of many figs, some modern takes on characters like Jean but maybe even their original variants as well.
  2. As long as there’s a precedence of dual molded legs becoming available in new colors through BAM I will cross my fingers. Considering it would work well for 2 different superhero characters I pray it happens.
  3. Idk Lego isn’t very predictable with who gets new moulds or new prints. I wasn’t expecting a new mould for Captain Marvel last year or Rocket this year but here we are. I was expecting leg print for at least Shuri but we got it with Groot instead. I would have expected solid legs for Starlord based on how lazy lego was with other figures. Never say never. Personally Daredevil works amazing for me. I don’t know how likely it is for dual molded legs to become available through BAM(I know printed legs have but idk about dual molded solid colors. That said I would be ecstatic to see her legs become available through that means.
  4. I agree to this. Although it may feel silly reaching out I feel it is important to speak my mind regardless if it has little impact. But yes prominent members of the community may have more sway. Although in the end I think a petition online with thousands of signatures backing a set of genera requests to improve this theme may be more effective. I’m u familiar with how influential these community members have been in the pst but if Lego accepts 10k or 100k signs for an ideas set to manifest maybe a similar number of signs would persuade them to improve their approach to the brand? Would Lego accept a DC ideas set or do they have a rule against existing licenses?
  5. Is Firestar the same color as Reverse Flash? I’m wondering if he ever gets dual molded legs if I can repurpose them for her. It looks to me they are very close in color hopefully we get reverse flash in an affordable set then have his leg piece become available through BAM so I can affordably give Firestar new legs. Manifesting this lol
  6. So after running into some money I decided to bite the bullet and order some missing modulars. With only $1200 I discovered I can bricklink the Downtown Diner, Detective’s office, Parisian Restaurant, and Pet Shop. With my next paycheck I intend to pick up the Assembly Square at a Lego store. I already own the Palace Cinema. Within the next month I will own 6 Modular Buildings. Due to my living situation I won’t build them yet but imagine how nice it’ll be to have some massive lego sets ready to be built when you finally get your dream home. This is a massive first step in picking up what I missed in my dark ages. Chima, Ninjago, Scooby Doo, Monster Fighters and a decent amount of City and Creator are still massive projects to take on however and I fear the longer I wait the higher prices go for all.
  7. Considering our first DC D2C was Arkham I’d expect that to be on the table for a modular approach. That said Arkham was our only non Bat vehicle D2C in the regular DC line (excluding TLBM) so I’m not sure we’ll ever see another structure again. I really don’t know what to expect of this theme anymore, if it’ll go back to a few regular waves a year and an occasional D2C or remain simply focused on figure packs, mosaics, busts and only a few regular retail sets a year. I’m not sure i can even expect another D2C structure to be made.
  8. Fair enough. But then why would Lego say they didn’t include her because she has an MCU depiction when Mysterio could have the same said about him?
  9. From the ama on Reddit I gathered the designer wanted to include Ice Man along with others but due to a combination of reasons could not. One of those proposed reasons was, since Marvel approves all figures included, that they rejected the idea because of projects they had planned which included said character. Its just a possibility but those pieces of info point to me that any mainstream X-Men is probably not going to be made until their MCU phase comes. I would love to be proven wrong and see some X-Men content before but I think Firestar was included because of her appearance in the 90’s cartoon and is not a prominent X-Men figure. I presume Ice Man is being saved for his MCU debut. I was confused to hear Mary Jane couldn’t be made because she has an MCU variant out. Mysterio, Peter Parker, Aunt May, and to some extent Punisher and Daredevil also have had MCU representation. I have a theory that because they swapped her race for the movies they don’t want merchandise of her classic redhead depiction out while the movie franchise is released. To some that theory may be ridiculous but in my eyes the only difference she and other MCU characters have that also got conic depictions is, that she is one of a few that got race swapped. Might have nothing to do with it but I’m trying to justify why Lego would use that excuse. I have seen renders of the building in tan and honestly think I would have preferred it in that color. The grey is very reminiscent of modern architecture which I resent to a degree lol. The Bugle is still amazing and I caught that they included a meme in Peters office. Personally hope the next one we get is the Avengers Tower/Stark Tower (are they also the same building in the comics?) with some obscure characters. Mrs Marvel Carol Danvers (yes the Gamora hairpiece would actually work for her lol), classic Hawkeye, Namor, who knows. Personally really hoping this is the beginning of a Marvel modular series similar to creator and Ninjago. Although I hope they begin introducing new moulds in these large sets even if they reuse them later on, or at the very least include more leg printing. Firestar really needed some and the 2 that got it (Carnage and Green Goblin) came in other sets before this. Would it have killed them to give leg print for just 1 figure? She actually could have done good with dual molded legs. Oh well at least she’s sort of an X-Men right?
  10. That’d be so awesome. In general many DC locations would make amazing D2C’s. A lot of the reality of this theme is kinda lame. It’d be awesome to have so many of the figures and variants that will just never happen. If a regular Raven isn’t here can’t wish for a White Raven variant. If we don’t even get Superman retail sets we won’t get a Fortress of Solitude or Daily Planet. We’ll probably never see Blackfire. Most of the heroes and villains we will get will be in their simplest depictions with little detail and inaccurate parts used ok them. It’s the same reason I and others asked for a break earlier. But I guess we all have our own opinions, whatever the case I wish this theme had more going for it.
  11. You know after this I was really hoping we’d get more modular Marvel New York sets. The Sanctum Santorum, Stark Tower/Avengers tower, Baxter Building and maybe even Times Square would all make some really great additions to the bugle. I would love to see the big building King pin used in Into The Spiderverse to create his interdimensional weapon. Green Goblin has also been depicted fighting Spiderman in large buildings like Clock Towers and train stations, would love to see a large set like that as well. the more I see it the more I realize the figures can be compromised on. Yes they are repeats but I thankfully did not buy the sets they premiered in just for them. But what a waste if I did. I feel for anyone who bought the Veno-Dino for Spiderham, the mew mech for Miles or the Truck for Mysterio and Gwen. Since I do not own those, these variants are new to me but I think I would be more disappointed if I had forked money for those sets. It makes the sets these figures were formerly exclusive to worthless in my eyes because the builds were weak and the figures are no longer exclusive. On the bright side I don’t have to buy other sets for these variants. Hopefully we get a Morbius and Kingpin or Eddie Brock soon. They all got references but then so did characters like Doomsday and Bizarro but they never got a release. But then again thats DC and Lego Marvel has done more for its obscure cast so why not? She needs leg printing but Firestar is still a near fig to get. Hopefully Squirrel Girl, Captain Britain, Namor, and other obscure heroes can pop up in future Spidey sets as well. Manifesting a Lady Octopus AND an Olivia Octavius as well. Excited for the future of this theme. Not to mention the smart building technique of including only 4 floors but making each ceiling high to increase the overall height of the build.
  12. Yeah the more I look the more I really hate the figure selection. Black Cat grew on me but firestar needs yellow and red legs the plain yellow makes her look unfinished. Punishers belt piece should be on the hip not the torso and it looks way too high up. Why is he smiling? Blade looks good but 2/4 of the new heroes look bad. Gwen looks bad. Sandman has always looked bad in this form with the generic angry clone face and cheap arm/torso print. Too many repeats and inaccurate designs. Lacking so much detail. What will it take for Lego marvel to give us the type of figures Ninjago gets on a regular basis. I guess Marvel is so popular they expect kids to buy it regardless?
  13. His belt. His belt shouldn’t go on his torso it goes on his hip. It looks like he’s wearing a fanny pack. Hip pieces are the natural place to print belts that go around the waist because it acts as the waist of the figure. Printing his belt on his torso is like plcing it on his stomach. Blade could have but works decently without it. I think Firestar looks bad. Thats 10 repeats and 10 civilians, 4 new characters, 5 if you count Gwen who wasn’t done right. I stand by what I said earlier which is if at least 2 of the 10 repeats had been variants (Mysterio with leg pattern print and Olivia Octavius would have been nice) or if 2 had been swapped for new character’s altogether (idk why I was expecting Hydro Man), the other repeats would be easier to swallow. But the fact that 3/4 of the new characters have inaccurate print makes it even more of an eyesore. I already think Punisher and Firestar need new variants to fix the issues with their original print. Lego should really normalize leg printing, side leg printing, arm printing and occasionally unique hair pieces for the future. A lot of these figs just look inaccurate or bad.
  14. The bugle is an amazing set and the build is spectacular. The height and design both matched my expectations. Daredevil and Blade look awesome. But generally speaking the figure selection could have been stronger. Far too many repeats. Spiderham, Miles, Gwen, Mysterio, Venom, Carnage, Doc Oc, Mysterio, Green Goblin, and Spiderman are all repeats. Thats 10 of 25. Then we get 10 civilians of which 3 (Aunt May, Peter and Gwen) are let downs. Aunt May has been depicted as “not that old”, having short hair, having brown hair, many specific depictions. This generic old lady with a grey sweater works but I think its time she gets a more specific depiction. Gwen looks bad I’m gonna have to give her the DC superhero girls supergirl piece. Peter looks boring as well needs a different hair piece. Of the 4 new characters, Black Cat looks inaccurate but acceptable, Punisher needs hip printing, Firestar needs dual molded legs, and Blade looks perfect. So many repeats and the only new characters weren’t really done right. I guess no one cares if Fire star is accurate but the lack of detailed printing is really starting to make this theme undesirable. Luckily the build is the selling point of this set but the figures for Lego superheroes always look so bad when compared to themes like Vidiyo.
  15. Well then I would respond by saying I hope if they choose to keep producing sets that we stop getting years like 2020 with few sets and all based on Batman and start getting sets like 2017 where we had mainly Batman but new variants for his villains as well as other heroes here and there. I guess the theme continuing production could be a decent thing if the sets produced returned to the quality we had at earlier points in the theme.
  16. I would love for this to be the case. Ideally the repeats are Iron Fist and Spiderwoman but I’m expecting Miles and Spiderham (imagine Peter Porker also appearing haha). Besides Blade, Gwen, Daredevil and Firestar the figure selection and the choice of outfits are weak but at least the build is strong. Doc Oc Green Goblin Venom Carnage Aunt May Sandman Mysterio 2 repeat heroes thats 9 characters appearing in either similar or exact designs they’ve had before. Blockbuster sets in other themes have brought very detailed figures or at the least interesting variantsi think if just 2 of those 9 or even 3 of those 9 had a) been swapped for another charcacter or b) been given a new variant the set would be much stronger. The build is perfect but I’d have loved a Mysterio with leg printing, a alt girl Doc Oc, long hair modern Aunt May, or even Hydro Man taking the place of one of those repeats. The set will sell for the build but I think at least a couple of these figures could have been altered to make their bugle variant more desirable. Venom with blue and red body streaks, Molten Man, a different take on Aunt May, Spideh with leg printing, too many repeats but I’ll buy it anyways
  17. Just saw the Bugle and wow! Amazing build. Its so tall!! I was hoping it’d be tall at the price point and it did not disappoint. Looks like a real lego skyscraper. Amazing building love the glass panel design but with the giant logo it feels both realistic and appropriate for a Marvel comic. Firestar is perfect it appears she has the Series 10trendsetter hair in red? I was hoping she’d bring a new hair mould in red. Daredevil and Blade look amazing but besides that the repeats and especially in their exact same costumes is somewhat of a let down. Nice to see civilians thrown in however. Eh I agree with the thought that too any inclusions are repeats. It doesn’t help that Venom and Carnage appear so much, the thought that neither is unique is kind of boring. Not a huge let down as the build is what I really want and the new heroes is a nice bonus. But the villain selection does make me eye roll. Mysterio could have had leg print and his yellow boots added but again in his usual inaccurate print. Carnage and Venom to me are far too overused and I would have an easier time excusing Green Goblin and Doc Oc if it weren’t for the fact that they are accompanied by another pair of over saturated Lego spidey villains in the same clothes we’ve gotten before. I think Venom could have had his blue and red streaks from the animated series, Doc Oc would have been fun to get in his alternate female version that appeared in Into the Spiderverse, if Carnage and Venom had been swapped for Hydro Man and Molten Man I’d complain less about the others. But too many overused characters in the same designs when at least the print could have been updated.
  18. Eh besides the Ice Mammoth and Fire Temple, Vardy Vulture and the battle packs the fire and ice theme was pretty bad. The ice lairs were all so ugly the vehicles got repetitive and I got to a point where I was bored with the color scheme and wanted to see the tribes in their own element or with a new foe but thats the note the theme ended on. I didn’t know Chima fans were rare I assumed a decent portion of us enjoyed the theme but maybe it sold poorly and never got a following? I guess after any discontinuation a theme is bound to lose its hype. I’d love to see an action theme in the future that either includes characters from or has nods to the action themes of the past and includes them all in some way. But its more accurate to say I want Monster Fighters reboot. I wish I was a lego designer I have some cool ideas for a Monster Fighters reboot. As far as Ninjago goes, a good portion of what I listed is structures and dragons and mechs but a few vehicles got thrown in there too. There’s even 5 sets I listed as unsure bc I like them but don’t know if I quite need them in my collection. But its all subjective I guess i don’t “need” any of them. I just try and be strategic about the sets I get and how well they cover the strongest elements of each theme.
  19. Whats the cs team? Do they have an email? I will pay them to throw a new hawk girl in the next bat vehicle we get at retail price haha
  20. Oh how we disagree. I thought the Fire and Ice sub theme is what killed chima. It was nice for one wave but the last 3 focused on that and it killed the fun of the license for me. The tribes receiving bases and vehicles and mechs for their tribe on their own was an exciting way to flesh out the theme. But fire and ice versions of each tribe made the newer bear and beaver figs feel like variants and not accurate depictions of these tribes in their own environment. Does that make sense? I also didn’t think the structures and builds in those last few waves compared to what kicked chima off. To each his own but I was not satisfied with the fire and ice subtheme and think they dragged it out for so long the themes build and aesthetic started to fall apart.
  21. Do you own any raider? one thing I noticed as I went through every Ninjago release by year on bricklink (the most convenient place to make a list of sets you want) I realized that Ninjago as a theme started solidly but really improved over the years. It maintained elements of its original release while innovating on character and villain designs and the builds got stronger. I think many themes struggle to make it out of their second and third waves because the attention to detail and quality is not maintained the way it was here. I guess Hidden Side remained solid but themes like Chima couldn’t continue because their last few waves were weak.
  22. There’s nothing terrible about this wave. But I think for figure legacy waves it’d be nice to see character designs that reflect the actual costumes worn in the movies. I don’t mind the builds I just think the choice of builds were weak and better vehicles and aspects of the final battle could have been chosen to depict that scene. Choice of Black Panther vehicle was also odd. I’m glad these got made for whoever wanted them but all I’m saying is future legacy waves would do well to cover other elements of the MCU. not sure what will come in a future legacy wave, I can imagine the pink girl who worked with the collector, Whiplash, several Disney plus characters and scenes and the leviathans being revisited. Maybe Thor movies have some revision to be made. Personally more invested in the comic sets so whatever. So I believe it was now confirmed that my suspicion was correct and Spider woman was lost in translation and we are getting Fire star instead. Honestly really excited for Firestar. I heard rumblings that Blade was recently confirmed and I’ve seen the number 25 for figures being thrown around? With how many rumors were wrong this year I’m honestly not holding my breath for any of these. I hope Spider woman gets a retail release eventually (with dual molded legs a printing) and Firestar and Blade do show up in the bugle but honestly Lego did a solid job keeping leaks under wrap this season I don’t need to get my hopes up considering a handful of these are probably wrong. I hope if Firestar does show up she either gets the S6 Intergalactic Girl hair in red, the Hermione/SDCC supergirl hair in red, or Kamala Khans hair in red. I guess the Gamora/Storm/Black Cat hair would work but we’ve already gotten that in red and we need more long hair pieces moulded in red.
  23. None because I already own my favorite raider. 70595 is to me the best and I’m very fortunate to own it. The dino side build, the slickness of the cockpit and the best figure selection (3 pretty good villains) makes it the best of the 3. The second has the best figure selection imo. The first and third are alright.
  24. Disney CMF Series 3 13 figures 1) Kingdom Hearts Mickey Variant - new sword weapon mould, his dark red and baggy pocketed design 2) Minnie Mouse Kingdom Hearts - using the S16 Queens dress piece in pink 3) Donald Duck Sailor Outfit 4) House of Mouse Daisy Duck - new head mould with her ponytail attached to her head 5) Clarabelle Cow - she’s hd SO many depictions over the years her red and green fit would do but i think introducing her head mould would be really smart because she can be rereleased in quite a few different dresses. 6) Max Goof 7) Roxanne 8) Nani Pelekai - teals shirt blue shorts or bathing suit fit. Or hula outfit 9) David Kawena - tattoos included with fire dancer accessories 10) The Sultan - maybe a tiger mould included if they can do it 11) Aladdin Prince Ali - in his prince outfit with his head piece and white royal fit 12) Tiana - green dress frog included 13) Dr Facilier I think I did a really solid job of following the trends of previous Disney cmf series. Mickey Mouse characters in variants, then pairs of characters from different Disney movies. We’ve gotten Elsa, Anna, and Jazmine as princesses in both figured and dolls so I made sure to include Tiana to continue the trend of princesses in figure form. Wish they had Disney sets that randomly covered different movies as there’s so much from each property I would love so many possibilities with Lego Disney there’s so much I’d throw money at
  25. Took me long enough but I’ve finally compiled a list of all the Ninjago sets I want. it resulted in 53 sets I need in my collection and 4 sets that I have some interest in. Funny enough I want a set from every year but 2012. Originally the 2012 wave never appealed to me besides the Epic Dragon Battle. But I lost interest in the dragon and only really like the giant green snake and dungeon build so I passed on including it. So I will end up having sets from every year and most waves besides 2012. Very excited to start collecting this theme as the structures specifically that have released over time have really spoken to me. The 3 Ninjago city sets, Lighthouse Siege, Skull Dungeon sets and the Airjitzu Temple are what I am most excited to start ordering.can’t wait to be a Ninjago stan haha.
