  1. I could see a small Whiplash vs Iron Man racer car set, and some sort of Asgard or Bifrost builds being made for future Infinity War waves. I personally think the Collectors Museum would be a really cool build, and the inclusion of Carina would be nice to see. That said I think the Spider waves in recent years have been redundant in character choice and I miss the Ultimate Spider days of getting Nova, Mary Jane, Power Man etc in sets. Would love to get more supporting heroes that aren’t Miles and Gwen. I think they’ve been included enough and while it may be unfortunate that the Ultimate Spidey side characters only appeared once each, it gave room for new players to come in. We’ve been on the same Miles/Gwen/Peter trope for a while. Would love to see characters like Iceman, (comic) Doctor Strange, or Namor get dropped in Spidey sets. I remember when non MCU Spidey sets excited me and a wave like that hasn’t hit since 2016. There’s been a shift (got the bugle, bridge and Hobgoblin chase, all unique concepts, 2016 and before, with the consequent years being repeated Spidey vehicles and lairs with the same cast). And we may be getting Rhino but again he’s not a big fig. Just want to see years like 2013 and 2016 happen again. Tis al.
  2. I’m definitely late to the party but wanted to comment on what is both the most exciting and disappointing rumor of next year. Jabbas Palace again sounds fine but at 20 dollars cheaper, hearing that the Rancor is brick built and included? Taking inflation into consideration, paired with the bulky build of the Rancor, I am very skeptical about how good the build will be. That said I own the 2012 version and love it, only really interested if they top that build or figure wise. Anyone remember the 1997 rerelease of episode 6? I actually really would love some of the characters in the extended Max Rebo band made as figures. Here’s who I hope show up; * Sy Snootles (new mould needed) *Droopy McCool (new mould needed) * Ak Rev (could use flat head with braid printed down back Padawan style) * Doda Bodonawieedo (use Greedo/Rodian head mold) * Barquin d'an (use Bith head piece) * Greeata Jendowanian (new mold needed) * Lyn Me (use Twilek headpiece from Oola, Aayla and Hera) * Rystall Sant (could use new mould but could pass for printed horns on her forehead and use the Series 17 Dance Instructor hair) * Umpass Stay (could use new mould but flat head with features printed on more likely) As you can see I excluded a few members that I felt were ugly or unnecessary. If not this time around, if we ever get a UCS Jabba’s Palace, I would love to see the full band or just the 10 I listed above. Honestly, Lyn Me and Sy Snootles are the members I hope most make it to Lego. that said, we’ve gotten several concepts repeated in Lego Star Wars before. Several Tie Fighters, X-Wings, Luke landspeeder etc. Obviously this is because those builds are iconic and highly sought after, but that won’t stop me from asking why Lego has taken so long to revisit certain concepts. I think it’s high time characters like Mon Mothma and Zam Wessel in modern printing. Both characters I think had more prominence in their respective films than some filler characters we get over the years. Hoping to see them readapted eventually as well.
  3. So is Klarion still happening or is it possible Lego just mentions him for no reason and this all leads to nothing? I’m really hoping the Batman Beyond theory proves true. I would love mini figures of Inque, Terry McGinnis, old man Bruce, and the Jokers Jokerz (Dee Dee, Woof, Bonk and Ghoul) along with the Batman Beyond figure himself. Naturally if he does appear he’ll just be treated like a suit variant in a juniors Batman vs Joker set, but I would love to see him made. and on that note I feel like the first appearance Batman Cowl is the closest thing to the silhouette of Terry’s cowl, and really think a newer, longer, thin mould that just barely goes over the face (only to give that slight nose tip) should be made regardless, but if an existing mould is used, hope they go for the first appearance cmf mould and not the 2012 mould. But who knows maybe he’s not coming at all. And I may be the only person thinking this, but since there are two unknown Cmf Series on their way, am I truly the only one who thinks it could be DC series 3? I don’t see it as Harry Potter, I don’t think there’s enough designs or variants to justify a remaining cmf series, any unused designs would be best included in any upcoming sets. As for Marvel 2, Looney Tunes 2 or Muppets 2, its way too soon for that, and I could see a Disney Series 3 being made but again there’s 2 rumored unknown series so maybe we’ll get both? I’m not sure about the rest of the world but these sold very well in my area. Series one was popular in my local stores when it dropped. I know speculation is a bit negative for the sales of this cmf series 1, but I really do believe one of the unknown series this year is for DC. And I would really hope so! I hope they produce a greater quantity of obscure characters and choose strong variants for some expected inclusions (ex. Red Son Superman, Challenge of the Gods Wonder Woman, Batman Beyond). Feel free to disagree but I’d bet a good 10 bucks one of the missing cmf series is DC series 2. Guess we’ll wait and see.
  4. Really hope lego rereleases Spiderwoman and Phoenix someday in an official set. I have half the mind to pay for an SDCC Phoenix but am paranoid I’ll pay so much for what will end up being a fake. I don’t think I’ll ever really believe its real lol. That said, both characters could do for dual molded legs and arms, along with side leg printing and potentially updated face prints or even alternate hair pieces. I want both of those characters in my collection so bad, similar to how Green Arrow and Shazam made their way into sets, I hope those two get adapted eventually. also make a Lego Squirrel Girl! The new set rumors are a little boring and repetitive honestly. Reminds me of all the 2018-2019 Spidey sets that felt useless and redundant. After the 2020 Enix Avengers wave I think I started to get carried away with what I expected to see from the comic side of this theme. No big fig Rhino is somewhat a blessing cause now there’s nothing drawing me to these sets and I get to save money yay. Also just a random thought, I rebuilt my Deadpool Helicopter this week and still feel like it’s the best $30 set to ever come out of this theme. Kinda sucks that the only comic wave of next year has such an underwhelming roster and build line up but I guess I need to catch up on some of my other collections anyways.
  5. I mean we’ve gotten Mime, Orca, Egghead, and we’re soon to get a Klarion figure. We’ve been surprised before I know we just got Bronze Tiger but I can’t help reading that and hoping we get him with his mask. Unlikely but I’d love to see it. If the Chima Tiger head mould is still available I can see them repurposing it but I’m probably kidding myself and it’s just a page dedicated to that boring 2020 fig. But now all this has me thinking. Klarion likely needs a new hair mould, if he reuses an existing piece that would kind of kill the hype for the fig a bit. But if he has a new mould, it’s possible he’ll appear both in the book and a set/cmf slot. He does have depictions with both pale and blue skin, so I can see a scenario where he gets multiple iterations so Lego makes the most of the mould. All hypothetical but I’d love to see both his blue and pale skin get a release. But if I hd to choose naturally I hope he’s blue. Also a little bummed out at the lack of news for next year DC. There’s still the second half of the year and if at least one of those 2 mystery cmf waves is licensed we may even get a DC series 2. Gonna take this moment to manifest what I’d like moving forward * Black Canary in her black suit. Different hair piece and a screaming face thats not as cartoonish as TLBM face * Updated Hawkgirl, new helmet mould, pants no tights modern depiction * Etrigan, Kilowog, the Metal Men, buildable Swamp-Thing big fig (with wings), just a big fig superhero. So far all of our “big” DC characters are villains; Ares, Gorilla Grodd, Clayface, Darkseid, Steppenwolf, Darkseid, Bane. Marvel has Hulk, but we’ve yet to get a big hero for DC. And yes I know only 2 metal men would get big figs and some may even prefer to see them released ala Nexo Knights style * Big poofy red haired classic Starfire * Updated Red Flash, Killer Frost, Beast Boy, Raven * A Teen Titans wave
  6. Yes every year feels like the last straw, if this year doesn’t change pace I’ll view this theme how I viewed the Spongebob theme in 2010. Counting its days
  7. As someone who is new to adulthood I understand naturally that growing up a lot of what I wanted was simply out of reach especially when it came to this theme as I was collecting other themes and didn’t have the resources to keep up with every theme I loved. Looking back on BrickLink it seems the sets from my favorite star wars era (2012-2014) are all going for 100’s of dollars more than their original purchase (Rancor Pit, Gungan Sub, Jabba’s Sail Barge etc) and unfortunately these weren’t quite cheap sets to begin with. In any event, considering how most sets get remade eventually I’m patiently waiting for a redo of all of those because I regret missing out on that era of sets so much. I really view 2012-2014 as the themes peak. Ubsure if I should hold my breath for remakes tho, we haven’t gotten a bounty hunter Episode 2 chase since 2002, so the idea Lego will take very long to get around, or even never get around to redoing some sets is a scary but very real truth.
  8. This is the preferred method. I honesty always see a few designs in the cinematic interpretations that don’t work for me, in every other DC film I watch. Sometimes the costumes are amazing (Shazam and his family) but other times I definitely am not interested in the designs (Black Canary/Cassandra Cain (BoP), Doomsday in BvS, Aquaman being played by Jason Mamoa (still think he should have been Lobo) etc). Considering how divisive some of the casting and costume choices have been for me on a personal level, I will make the selfish statement that moving forward unless its a big blockbuster event including major characters I would prefer an unofficial comic tie in as not all cinematic costumes work for me. I would love for these films to bring relevance to the characters enough for them to be included in sets, but generally don’t need those specific costumes in my collection. To each his own tho In any event call me crazy but I’m somewhat excited for the next year because literally everyone and their grandma is complaining about the state of this theme and a part of me has some sort of twisted perspective that all the shit talk on insta and on here fans have made may lead to Lego feeling a bit more confident releasing more content moving forward considering the vocal demand for it. We’ll see tho.
  9. I wouldn’t say yearly follow up series are no longer a thing. Between regular series and competing slots for the licensed series waves we likely haven’t been able to get around to giving DC series 2, Disney Series 3, and Harry Potter Series 3. But have they ever really been annual? I feel like follow up series don’t follow a set schedule and even if they have I wouldn’t count out seeing more in the near future. I definitely think Disney will get a third series, unsure if Harry Potter even needs it and I have my mind open to the idea of DC getting a second series. But all in due time we’ll see how that plays out. Sarcasm detected I see where you’re coming from but I also see where @THELEGOBATMAN is coming from. I count the Square Enix sets as comic based and would consider that a recent example of non Spidey centered comic material. The Bugle is also a useful addition for that. I agree that they focus too much on Spidey and considering he gets MCU and comic sets, it wouldn’t hurt to skip a wave for him and give us comic based designs for other heroes. That said Marvel is doing much better than DC on that (among other things) and based off how much we got this year I can safely say we’ll eventually get around to other properties just maybe not at the pace some would hope for. But DC gets one new figure a year assuming thats a normal year (which this year was not) so I’d say I’m just grateful that Lego Marvel has pumped out so much. As for the X-Men and F4, we have to wait until their MCU debut in a few years before getting them in comic sets but I’m also anxious about that bc we still haven’t gotten comic Guardians so who knows how long after their MCU debut will the X-Men receive comic sets. But as I said before Marvel does a decent job of paying attention to the comics so there is more hope there than here. Patience my friend.
  10. True, the entire suit could easily be repurposed in different ways to fit Lex. But the Legs in particular really stood out to me. I agree the set could be a little cheaper and has a boring build but for $20 you could sell Nick Fury online and make something of that, the parts for the car and drone can be useful if your an avid mocer, and all figures have useful prints. It definitely has some value. As for the hair I’m not sure I agree with this. While blonde certainly has less than brunette or black hair, we’ve certainly gotten our fair share of blonde hair pieces. The trend setter has a very useful piece I’ve always wanted to use for Supergirl, Not to mention that nice piece used on the woman in TLBM Clayface set, Lucius Malfoys hair, and the hair on Princess Vania could all be useful. Even Elsa’s new piece could be used. I think Red is certainly the color with the most limiting options and I hope we see some nuce new slick flowy long moulds more akin to Vicky’s hair from friends, I would have loved for that to have come in red for Starfire I would have loved that. Hope they repurpose that specific piece eventually. I want to not be mad. But I’m certainly jealous. And for some ridiculous reason, hopeful. Couldn’t agree more. As much as I’d love to see Green Lantern comic sets and comic Teen Titans sets it seems that’s not happening anytime soon so the cmf series is the best way to get several characters I’m really excited for. I want so much I know even a second cmf wave won’t satisfy everything but it would be a step in the right direction.
  11. I mean the set is a cheap $20 (although I fee it should be $10 or $15) so I imagine the figure will be affordable on Bricklink while the set is fresh. Speaking of useful reusable pieces I feel like Lego still needs more solid red hair pieces. Some of the few options are for friends and don’t translate well on minifigures and I feel we have a limited repertoire of red hairpieces. I personally think Belle (mini doll) and Vicky (friends mini doll) have hair pieces that would look good on a mini figure and would be useful in red. In general I think Lego still has some work to do for long flowy hair moulds. Many of the friends designs don’t work for figures, many moulds are outdated and many silhouettes are repetitive (Sally’s hair and Lucius Malfoys hair, Captain Marvel’s hair and Ms Steven‘s hair etc) or only work in certain contexts. So yeah, new long hair moulds and recoloring of existing hair moulds in red is a random need I felt like expressing lol. god I hope we get comic sets next year Edit: I could also see Mysterio’s legs in that set being useful for Lex Luthor
  12. With the leaks of the new Marvel sets I have a fantastic find that has me very excited for these sets to hit shelves. Often DC characters don’t have detailing and I need to borrow hairpieces and legs of other characters, and this new Marvel wave is proving to have some useful pieces. The legs on Spidey in 76184 are PERFECT for Batwoman !! They even have the little indent on the boots that looks like the Bat signal. Its absolutely perfect for Batwoman I can’t wait till I can pick it up and swap her legs
  13. White Vision and Falcon look great but the hair on Falcon was off putting at first. These leaks look amazing I’m surprised its taken so long to reveal the entire wave. We haven’t heard anything for Winter 2022 have we? I’ve seen some posts about a mixed comic and cinematic wave unsure how it’ll hold up (those rumors).
  14. What Lego store was this
  15. Besides the spidey sets and Advent Calender we have nothing left for the year correct? Excluding the cmf.
  16. I’d love for a great Heath Ledger joker available for $40. That said, it’d be great to see some goons, maybe Scarecrow as well. kind of what I was getting at as well. Shazam and Deadshot released on years that they appears in DCCU films, but not in DCCU sets. Shazam came in a polybag and a $40 comic set, and Deadshot in a $25 Batman set. Neither based off the Suicide Squad or Shazam movies directly. I’m somehow crazy for saying I hope Mary Marvel and Black Adam appear in the same manner. There’s a precedence for what I was suggesting 🤷🏻
  17. With Black Adam getting a movie, I hope they do an unofficial conic tie in. I doubt it will be good. As for Aquaman 2, first movie looked cheap and felt cringy and misdirected, but had some interesting visuals in certain moments. I really want a comic version of Mera, and didn’t enjoy the first film so also want an unofficial comic tie in. The Flash and Batman can receive sets thats fine, but due to the bad quality of movies it makes more sense to tie characters in in comic based sets than do the movie variants bc its likely that will underperform in some way. I think its possible. They must have heard all the complaints of this year having no material I would imagine they’d throw us a bone. I just want some new characters with decent print. Bronze Tiger was our most recent addition and he was based on a design that didn’t need leg printing, and Batgirl needed it but didn’t get it. Like if we’re getting repeats and one new guy make them desirable to some degree. It’s been a while since I saw a Dc set that I loved
  18. So much better than expected, she looks perfect honestly. I feel confident saying this hair mould would work perfect for her comic iterations too. The crown may come up a bit taller in the comics but its so close I doubt they’d make two moulds. Hope we get both classic (body suit with under leggings) and All New All Different (black pants red torso) variants of Scarlet in the future. Maybe the Marvel Now long red dress and red pants would work well too. Four different 4+ Sets is too much in my opinion. I hope the remaining Avengers classics aren’t mechs because that would be a complete waste of a wave. Somewhat hoping the list is true because I dan easily see us finally getting a comic Wanda now that this hair mould is in production. And if we get her Vision isn’t too far behind so I could see this wave being impressive with figs but let down on builds. Which is standard for Lego DC but I’d hope Marvel would do better. Falcon fan still hasn’t confirmed the rumored list so who knows.
  19. Never considered that. I myself wonder how it could be done as there’s so many Pokemon it may be a huge chore to produce all those specialized moulds. I can see general bodies with pegs for leg attachments being used for pokemon of certain body types (like a general small “dog” body used for Vulpix, Eeevee, Herdier, and Elektrike. Maybe general mouth moulds for Salamence, Venosaur and Snorlax (?). Reusing wing moulds in production for certain flying types, I imagine it would be a challenge producing all those new moulds. But I can’t imagine it wouldn’t sell well.
  20. I don’t mind Batmobiles so long as thats not the only thing we get out of this theme
  21. So new pics dropped and Wanda’s face looks amazing now. Lol I did a whole 360 on her, also not sure if those capes are real or thrown on by whoever took the pic? I didn’t think she’d need a cape. What are the odds that the rumored Winter set list is fake? Saw it on some not so big accounts, wonder if we’re really getting classic avengers sets this winter. I’d love it, but I can easily see it being mechs with less than stellar figures. Just give me my Lego Squirrel Girl already.
  22. My mistake, I saw a pic of all Wandas compiled and I guess 2 sides of that face were shown. Neither look good, I’m shocked at how unsatisfied I am with her face print.
  23. Seeing these sets has me wishing Lego would make Pokemon sets. Nintendo already has the largest and most popular toy manufacturer on Earth making its Mario sets, why not carry over one of your biggest franchises (I believe Pokemon outsells Mario in games, no?) over to the most successful toy manufacturer? I hope its just the contract waiting to expire, bc Mega Blox Pokemon was actually not that bad, and I think it set an example of how some of those designs could be brought to life in a brick format. Good lord I wish Pokemon would get a Lego theme.
  24. I was surprised to see we got sets inspired by a movie but not directly on it, I love the build of that Spider Drone, it makes sense in universe and I almost wonder if it will somehow be an alternate flashback scene or animated short for the MCU and we secretly don’t know that in some way it will pop up in the movies? Either way these builds are amazing. These figures are so good. Finally attention to detail for more than just two people in the set. Well, figures lol. This cape may be the most beautiful thing I have ever seen Lego produce. I am so obsessed it looks amazing. Wanda’s body print is amazing the torso legs and arms are super accurate and super well made. Not a huge fan of the hair I think the mould is good for the head piece but I wish the hair came down to the torso instead of flowing awkwardly to the side. I also hate this face print its somehow worse than the one for the Endgame Battle? Looking forward to seeing that figure displayed with a different face. Not gonna say its “a shame” we got no comic figures in the cmf, all I’m going to say is I hope it happens eventually. Disney is certainly getting a third wave. I still have hope for Lego Squirrel Girl. God I want a Lego Squirrel Girl. (Wonder if that Chima tail piece is no longer a mould they have access to….)
  25. Fun fact I grew up on these movies and loved them and only recently learned how universally hated they are. Not at all. Those movies were 80’s camp with amazing costumes and a clearly goofy vibe. The Justice League is pure cringe and does not have that goofy loveability that Batman and Robin has. Bat credit card, bat nipples, and Freeze singing I’m Mr Snow Mizer were cheeky and funny. Snyders vision is just misled and mediocre, and that’s being generous. Hot take, all four films should somehow be represented in a set. I mean we constantly get Batcontent, I’d actually be so excited about an Uma figure, Arnold as Freeze, even the good and evil twins from Two Face’s lair would be fun. Instead of another year of Bat vehicles led by black suit Batman, a repeat of a hero we already got but somehow worse, and the Joker, why not give us a Bat set with from the 80’s? I can see a set at several price ranges from each movie and the costumes were so vibrant and eye catching, the hairography with Ivy was impressive, and Bat nipples would be funny and a huge source for memes if made in Lego, I’d love figures from those movies. I really think they should make it happen. And it’d be much more exciting than the standard bat sets we always get. That said, I’d hope Suicide Squad gives them the push to finally make. a Lego King Shark. I also hope at least Mary Marvel and Black Adam get made in a set. I would love a set with Shazam, Black Adam, and Mary Marvel. Could be movie or comic inspired as the costumes are super accurate, preferably comic so we don’t get anything too stylized or movie specific, as I don’t imagine it will sell well and rumor has it the DCCU sets sell poorly anyways. I mean it doesn’t need to be directly based on the movie for us to know the movie is the reason we got it. We all know we got Deadshot in 2016 bc thats when Suicide Squad released, same with Shazam in 2019. I hope they repeat that tradition of unofficial tie ins bc I don’t enjoy the DCCU.
