So long as the ratio is good. 14 figures I would hope if characters like JJJ or Aunt May reappear they have new prints or even hair pieces used. Even if the character is the same I’d hope they give new designs. And also if we only get a couple new characters that would be a bust, I was honestly hoping at least 5 characters are new but even 7 is not a crazy thing to ask for imo. But on that note I’ve been dissatisfied with the figure leaks so far. So I don’t collect MCU sets mostly but I do pay attention to the attention to detail figures over there receive bc it signals what I may expect for comic based releases especially considering how uncommon the can be. If a MCU set has poor printing what should I expect from a comic set with no movie attached? So I will opine on figures I wouldn’t buy regardless bc it sets a standard. • Rocket Racoon - his new mould is okay I really like the way it looks with the scarf but I had always wanted them to use the Skunk mould from Chima for his design and for the comics thats honestly probably still applicable but for the MCU I think this mould works fine. The suit however should have been a dull bluish grey or a dark blue with grey undertones but not a solid grey and certainly not this color it detracts from the figure so much I am really upset they made him grey. Shuri - would it be ridiculous to say I’d hoped they’d give her a new hair mould? With themes like Chima and Vidiyo receiving so many new moulds in their first few waves I still can’t understand how years into one of Legos most successful lines we still lag behind on introducing new pieces specialized for characters and arm/leg print. Needs leg printing as well. Black Panther - was actually so excited for the new mould and kinda stumped it never came to life. Needs leg printing and leaves a lot to be desired. Black Cat - hope those dual molded legs legit come with her. Her tussles of white hair would be hard to print so I see why they went this route. Wish she came with a more creative hair piece this mould is tired. Unsure why they printed no skin they’ve given many a female characters skin on the neck before (Gamora, Ivy etc) that way we could have also gotten her choker. Besides the unusual neck print and boring hair choice she’s ok Iron Man - mostly good but c’mon how is arm printing a lot to ask for? I’d like to see it normalized once Lego introduced it it had me wishing they’d use it more. Solid color arms don’t work for every character and dual molded arms of many color combinations as well as printed arms are in much demand from me. He needed the arm print to perfect him. I just wish Lego went for a standard of complete accuracy with these figures considering how big the brand is. tl;r Rocket is the wrong color, Shuri needed leg printing and either a new hair mould or her braid printed on her back, Iron Man needs arm printing and Black Panther needs leg printing. I hope Mysterio in the D2C finally gives us leg printing bc his suit fabric goes down to his shoes which should then be a yellow. So dual molded green/yellow legs won’t work either because he has small shoes not boots and fabric design on his legs that need detailing. But with these leaks I don’t think I should expect Mysterio to come with that detail :/

I’m starting to think I should just get an entire row of an untouched box and sell the 3 figures I don’t want because its the safest way to not get randoms and prevents repeats. I just hope I have an easy time selling them later on.

So I guessed 8 out of the 12 correctly! Honestly have mixed feelings on the figures. For the most part I like them, I do think Sylvester has a really large head and some of the figures look a little out of scale. Tweety for example i really did not want to see be done as a figure and looks ridiculous, its a design I can’t really appreciate. That said I plan on completing the entire series. Speedy’s face print has me anxious, the line where his hear and hat meet looks cheaply done. All of the figures have a print that both calls back to the old style of animation of the classic looney tunes but also looks like it can easily be chipped off. Don’t get me wrong I love the figures but the black lines on the eyes and detailing looks a bit iffy and takes some getting used to. As for the 4 figures I got wrong, 2 (Tweetie and Road Runner) I expected to see as smaller moulds and not be made figures, but came out decent enough. Petunia and Speedy came out of nowhere I expected both to be made in a potential series 2. That being said enough designs are missing that I think a second series is do-able. here’s my series 2 wishlist 1. Bugs Bunny - either a magicians suit or a bathing suit. Both would be outfits he’s worn at different points of his animation history 2. Lola Bunny - Based on the Looney Tunes Cartoon from 2020, mould could be reused or she could have a new mould closer to the cartoons style of animation as this figure is really a space jam figure. 3. Foghorn Leghorn - head/belly mould 4. Yosemite Sam - new head mould + 2 pistols 5. Granny 6. Green Loontern if the license allows for it 7. Tina Russo - again based mostly off the new cartoon 8. Elmer Fudd -Petunia took what I expected to be his spot but it leaves the second series with figures to be desired so not that mad 9. Witch Hazel 10. Gossamer 11. Pepe Le Pew - assuming they’re willing to do it 12. Petunia Pig - either white and green polka dotted dress, or her blue dress

I believe FalconFan commented the single word vehicle some pages back when other members discussed the D2C. He can be cryptic but thats a pretty direct revelation in my eyes. I agree however, I was even ready to accept an Arkham remake but I was hoping for one of the many buildings (Lexcorp, Wayne Tech, Star Labs, Hall of Doom, Oa etc) of the DC universe to show up. Can’t see any Bat-Vehicle exciting me as pretty much every vehicle that could be made has been made and its probably an Adam West or Burton era vehicle that won’t be to scale. I’m just like how many old school vehicles are missing? How many more oversized antique builds do we get until we finally start receiving DC universe D2C’s focused in locations and settings not just restricted to Batman. To add to that large vehicle sets rarely have many figures and I’d love for dc sets to have a lot of figures.

Not excited for the Disney + CMF but like I said before this theme will probably get a second maybe even a third cmf series so maybe one day we’ll get more comic designs. I just hope if and when they do more legacy sets they do a better job of introducing new characters and variants to accelerate the rate missing mcu gaps get filled. I think more could have been done with the figure selection of these sets (this years legacy wave) for example. edit: Black Cat fully leaked and I guess the dual molded legs do more for the figure. Dislike the hair choice but its accurate for what its worth. The white tussles of fur on her arms and legs would probably be hard to translate so I think the dual molded white is a smart solution. Not saying I needed cleavage but skin has been printed on the neck line for Black Widow and Gamora before so I don’t think Black Cat would be crossing any boundaries untouched before if she had her skin printed on. That said this design isn’t particularly bad its a very okay design and the figure looks adequate but I do think a different hair choice and the printing of her skin would have done more for the figure she still works. 7/10

I hate to sound pessimistic but its been too many years of hoping a new wave with a greater quantity of seta of increased quality of prints on figures or new concepts used appears and it never does and I always find this theme sprinkled with comments of I hope they turn the tide. I really want to entertain the idea but it drives me insane. I actually want to work for DC one day I fantasize constantly about fixing its issues.

Unfortunately I don’t think Lego has much wiggle room. At this point the sets reflect the fact that most audiences are uninterested in anything DC thats not Batman. What we can hold them to is increasing the print quality and using new designs for Batmans rogues and supporting characters. But at this point having any standard for this theme seems silly. I’ve grown to lose hope in the potential for this theme and the DC brand as a whole tbh.

I too fell for this when I first saw it online. I was actually excited somehow debating buying it because I really wanted the shark repellant piece.

Black Cat leaked and honestly a little underwhelmed. She is usually depicted with white tufts of hair on her arms and ankles and it’d have been nice to get that printed on. Also I know I sound like a broken record complaining about this hairpiece but its so overused and we’ve gotten it in white before. It’d have been nice if they gave her the S6 Spacegirl or S10 Trendsetters hair in white as they’ve never gotten that color. I guess the hair isn’t particularly inaccurate and the lack of leg and arm printing is accurate to some depictions, they could have done a little more with the design choice to make the figure pop. edit also the torso print for this had me doing double takes. I thought it was a costum fake leak because they didn’t even print her flesh tone onto her neck area?! Also don’t think they got the shape of the mask right. Not a fan.

Not a case of bootlegs being bad, I’m just a purist. Not to get political but view it through the lens of OCD. I just have to have the real thing only, even if the quality of the fake is amazing its not official so I don’t care for it. Its just how my brain is wired haha Did you get your money back? I assumed both sites have a system in place for refunds regarding scams and misleading listings, And do either site (Bricklink/Ebay) have a way to report and possibly take down accounts consistently selling fraudulent listings? They should. There should be a way for you to communicate the deception and have the account petition to be removed with the site. I’d be shocked if such systems for refunding scammed costumers (like setting a complaint where the company forces the seller to refund the money within a day or have the ability to have it charged by the bank or something idk) and to remove scam accounts. They should get on that. I guess I agree the high price is not worth the risk and especially if they don’t return the money if you were to try and make a demand. Honestly I saw a purist Green Arrow using TLBM Robins arms and Simon Bazz’s legs with the S16 Dog Show Guy’s hair and it looked amazing. Fingers crossed Spider-Woman is released in the CMF Series and I’d love to see Phoenix there as well. It’d be nice if both were rereleased in the CMF this year or in a part 2/3 down the line. Dual molded legs with printing for both along with refined printing on the torso, new face prints/expressions and perhaps a new hair choice for both + dual molded arms if needed and I would be in love. For Marvel I think thats actually quite likely because of how popular it is, they’ll probably get a second or third cmf series and can receive such figures. Maybe one day Lego will release higher quality versions of SDCC characters. I can dream.

*Sigh* I didn’t know this, is this true? I have recently considered buying some SDCC figures (Bizarro, Spider-Woman and Phoenix) but I’m cautious now because I assumed most or all the ones on the market were somehow verified considering there’s only a handful per site I see. I guess communicating with the seller is the go to route but they could always use recycled photos of other peoples authentic figures. I guess I’ll hold back because as you said she’s likely to get released but how likely is that? I have that hope with all the SDCC figures, New 52 Green Arrow is one of the best designs for the character ever, Spider-Woman to me is an essential Avenger to get and Phoenix is critical too. But the X-Men will most likely appear in their cinematic costumes when they’re released in movies and considering how long its taken them to cover other comic properties and how much is still missing can we really bank on these figures being rereleased? DC is practically guaranteed to get nothing beyond Batman so Bizarro and GA feel out of reach. And Phoenix will probably only come in a movie design and Spider-Woman is practically out of sight considering how the MCU and Spidey comics dominate Marvel waves. Quite a long response but yeah they feel unlikely to be remade soon so is it worth buying them? The risk is pretty big and each figure costs so damn much. Whole time I thought those handful of Bricklink and Ebay sellers were absolutely legit.

Is it universally agreed upon that the poor sales of this theme can be blamed on the movies? I theorize the extended universe did a lot to sway people away from the DC brand. I think Lego is also partly to blame for their choice of designs and print. If most sets include characters that have already been released and in better variants at that, people won’t feel enticed to buy sets from an already unpopular franchise. I’m just wondering what needs to be done to make this brand popular enough for it to receive full waves. I think this theme has not had a wave of 6 sets since 2012. We may have gotten more than 6 sets a year but thats accumulated summer and winter waves. I just really would love a year where we have 6 sets on the way with newly updated prints for many heroes and villains. Unlikely but I hope one day its possible. If this theme is still being produced I think I will always cross my fingers for the next year or wave to be a nice surprise.

As others said its speculation but I’m starting to think its less likely. Looking at pictures of Thor from End game his belly is actually not that pronounced when he’s suited up and if newer figures like Winnie the Pooh had a printed belly I don’t think Thor was big enough to receive a new mould.

Just saw the new Shuri fig. Honestlythe hair is good enough but I wish they printed her braid on the back of the torso. Also skipping out on the leg print is still a disappointment. She should have olive lines running down her legs either with the cloth piece or with the skirt printed over these olive lines. I’m not in the group that thinks the cloth piece is enough. She should have leg printing and it sucks they revisited old films without thinking to upgrade the print for the characters used. Whatever I wasn’t gonna buy it anyways lol.

The new Joker figure is actually really well printed. The colors look correct, the face print is new, and it looks super similar when paired next to the original 66’ Joker figure. Unlike the new Batman, where the skipping out in the dual molded legs and the subpar print job (might have been a first impression I have not revisited that leak recently) made it inferior to the original release.

I don’t see why they would do this. Besides a good most of his more notable and popular characters have been produced. Well I was expecting a first appearance Iron Man. I’d prefer him to actually not be included because any missing MCU suits can be made through legacy sets and we already got 2 comic suits for him (2016 & 2020 Enix) so besides his first appearance he doesn’t need to show up. Classic Thor helmet + hair combo should show up however. Unsure if Cap is missing any major costumes. Probably. This is true. The MCU is popular enough to have its own CMF series. I personally hope its comics because there are so many characters and suits and designs from many decades missing. Ant-Man, Wasp, Jean Grey, each can be made in 4 or more different suits for the comics alone. I think fans are always quick to dismiss the potential for it to have both designs however. fingers crossed we get more than 12 or even more than 16 figures. Disney and Harry Potter had big first waves for their cmf, this is definitely a brand that can receive the same treatment.

I hear where you’re coming from. But try and be open minded. We’ve already gotten a bridge in this theme for Spidey, I think a completed bridge build for Spiderman would be appreciated by many in the community, and is on par with things they’ve already released before. Also times square has always had so many advertisements and signs all over the place. Having signs for Tony Stark, references to celebrities and comic events of the Marvel universe, Dazzler billboards, Green Goblin takes over times Square. I’m sure we’ve seen Villains faces on the boards of times square before. There are ways to make both sets Marvel specific. And I think Times Square would be a really solid way to tie in other buildings.

I appreciate the builds and figure designs we got for the 4+ Incredibles and Toy Story sets, so I’m sure I’ll appreciate the builds and figures for these 4+ Mickey sets. But to be frank I really wish Lego would release a normal line of system scale Disney sets. I’d love to get obscure characters like Clarabelle cow, a big fig of Pete, House pf Mouse inspired sets, and system scale 8+ sets for other Disney related properties. I understand why Disney sets are 4+, as a young kid I was always a fan of Disney so naturally they cater to that young audience. But it’d be nice to get regular Disney sets.

Such a great idea that I’ve seen being thrown around this forum lately. I would love this, as NYC is the home of so many iconic Marvel locations and heroes Is the X-Mansion in NYC? I’ve always thought it was off in the woods of New Jersey. I’d love all the other builds. To add on to that • Times Square • Brooklyn Bridge I could see all these sets combining to give a silhouette of NYC for our heroes and villains to face off in. I sure hope Lego listens to this if they weren’t already planning to release more NYC related sets.

This new removable head mould would make recreating Thanos’s decapitation much easier. I actually just commented a few days ago in the DC thread how I want a multipurpose big fig torso. My only wish was that the torso would have new pegs to attach legs pieces to give the big fig more motion, in the same way they currently have arm pegs. Thats all I want is big figs that aren’t stuck in the same pose, imagine being able to pose the legs of Thanos! This is a good start though.

Eh this kind of reads as it was made with Monster Fighters in mind. Its a featureless plain grey hammer with none of the detailing of dark greys and browns mjolnir should have. Looks like they needed a multi purpose hammer mould.

Completely agree. Its actually just the same hammer mould lego has used in Monster Fighters and other themes. Its not a Mjolnir mould but a general hammer mould reused for Mjolnir. The brown base, the string at the bottom, the detailing around the entire thing, Mjolnir should have its own mould. Hoping if they give us classic Thor in the CMF series he comes with a new mjolner mould.

Okay so according to Brickset this years lineup is • 30455 Polybag • 40453 Batman vs Penguin & Harley Quinn Pack • 76180 • 76181 • 76182 • 76183 • 76239 • 76240 exclusive (most likely the $230 D2C) If 76180 is the 4+ set, then 76181-76183 are probably the Batman sets for 2022. According to 1414Falcons account; the set number for the $30 66’ Batmobile is 76188, so I guess 76239 is still capable of surprising us.

This is so bricking amazing. Love the way you covered everything with a flat tile to cover the exposed studs and give the final build a finished and polished look. The floor tiles and detailing looks great, the colors on the temple and the symmetry in the build, the small archway to the right of the build, its all so majestic, beautifully placed and so well structured. Incredibly impressive I would love to try and recreate this, very much something I want in my own collection. Well done!

I’m lumping 66’ and 80’s sets together whenI say that. Also this is coming alongside a 4+ set so it’s going to be the third. If you count the King Tut figure in TLBM CMF series and the Egg-Head mech this is our 5th official Adam West era release. All I’m saying is I can’t wait till every background character and small detail is released so we can get sets based on other properties. I’m just personally no where near interested in this and I’m excited to cover whats left and move on. edit: Is the $40 set 76239?
