  1. Absolutely love the E model, I'm building it now so it can join my family of Unimogs.
  2. For my Uniknick (manual no RC) I connected a turntable to he main chassis [horizontal]. That took care of turning. After that I added a turn table vertically off the horizontal one to finish it. This was my solution. I used gears but I don't see why it couldn't use LAs.
  3. Well the 42053 Volvo EW160E, I don't think I could get the wife to sign off on a 8110 scale bucket wheel. As cool as it would be. :)
  4. Yea I don't expect it that big (unimog), but I can dream. If anything I'll upscale it. I'll be crushed it turns out to be a $20 set. That and the tractor are what I'm really waiting to see.
  5. That's interesting, looks to be a yellow 7L axle, Lego maybe adding more color coding. Or yellow parts for the 42053 Volvo EW160E to give a cleaner look. I can't wait to see it, I want it scaled to the Unimog.
  6. I adapted the clam-shell from the Arocs. The PTO drives the expansion of the outriggers. I'm still working on the arm to give it better reach in the bed. I adjusted the outriggers to make up for the height of the Unimog.
  7. That's awesome. The integration great
  8. Wow thats awsome. I really love the the hook lift
  9. To weigh in on it. I'm not impressed with the helicopter, but I figure that's more geared for the kids. Maybe if was more in line with the Coast Guard helicopters I'd like it. I absolutely love the hopper car. The engine isn't bad and I like the flat with the back hoe. I'm not sure if I'll get. Using Brick and Pieces and what I have on hand I can make the hopper. I do wish they would sell cars separately. Part of weather I'll buy it will be the price.
  10. Well I have been happy to see the deep sea sets. Being on a coast guard kick these are very welcome. I not as happy with the helicopter. The blades seem a little far off, granted I still need to convert my Chinook to 3 blade. The funny thing is I was thinking of ways to to it and that was one way but I figured it would look a bit silly. I'm running with the mini Chinook way of connecting the blades. I definitely will get the ship. It would be great if you could extend the back end seamlessly. The size is still great and overall it has great selection of parts.
  11. Maybe there's a selection system in the middle? You use the geared knob to activate and the non-geared to select. If there was a better picture of the box it has a top view.
  12. The model are insanely priced. On the other hand the instructions are just five bucks. The truck looks nice, but no the scale I work with.
  13. Well nothing in 1h jumps out at me. 42038 maybe for parts, I was really hoping for a larger 42032, broke my heart when I saw it was so small. I guess I'll have to wait for 2h.
  14. I'm fine with reverse engineering the new sets. I think it interesting to see the results.
  15. http://lego-technique.blogspot.com/2012/12/lego-technic-4x4-skid-steer-loader.html Here's another one. You haven't mentioned it that I saw, do you have any bricks to start with, and do you have any experience building with technic? I have always favored the tracked variant when I built them.
  16. One of my recent attachments. I do lack a proper camera at this time. I was waiting to make this till my order of orange panels came in from Lego. Its still needs some tweaking but it works. It can be removed with a few pins, I did have to add a hard point to upper area of the side, otherwise the mog stayed stock. It uses two pneumatic pistons, one allows it to fold back and the other lifts it up. For looks I have the long axle that can slide when it is folded for transport. Not seen is a wheel at the left edge of the plow, it makes opening and closing smoother. I also have a skip loader that mounts on the back based off the 42024, Container Truck , a skidder grapple and field plow.
  17. I can't say I have run across any, there could be some ideas here http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=219432
  18. The whole collection of my Unimogs and their attachments. In the back on the lowloader is the material handler 42006 made to fit the unimogs The center Mog has the latest attachment I was working on a banquet paver, the front works and I started roughing out the rear sweeper and the compacter, not pictured, needs a way to attach, kinda short on parts. I also have converted the grader attachment to pnumatic. A towable grader based on the trailgrader design. A bit too flexible, dismantaled it for parts
  19. Wow thats great, looks just like the little thing. Now it just needs a pack to move around.
  20. My variation on a sander for the Unimog. It’s powered off the PTO and fling with a vengeance. It uses two sets of the old style tracks in the bin for a conveyor.
