  1. Deal! Two greenhouses it is. Also, I was wrong about the walls. It has a partial third and fourth wall that you can see on the back of the box. More on the Friends thread - 2023 Friends Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion - Page 19 - LEGO Town - Eurobricks Forums Also, just look at the space and level of detail inside this compared to the City or Creator ones. It's just so much better.
  2. Hey @Maple, I was wrong, and it looks like the City Community Center tower does have half a third and fourth wall around the back. It's mostly door frames, but it's nicely integrated. See link above for more images, but this one is the back of the box:
  3. I honestly can't understand why anyone would consider anything else. Why LEGO provided two options when you clearly need to do this is beyond me. I'm so tempted by the turtle van, but I typically try to stick with 6-wide vehicles. Hmmm... decisions. I was really tempted by the Creator 3in1 camper van, but decided against it as it was 8 wide. But this is ALSO a flying turtle! Definitely getting the shark ship and tree house though. And the polybag if I can find it for another Bunchu bunny.
  4. Online, no. If you live near a LEGO store they may do. They have done in the past bear me in Boston. Went into a store this evening and they've sorted figured into complete sets, and have a load of individual figures sorted. This very much varies by store though.
  5. Just seen the large combined Hogwarts, using all of the new Hogwarts sets. Individually I don't think they're that great, but they do look impressive when put together.
  6. Probably? Hopefully? There were real problems trying to get the elephant last year. Follow this thread and you'll hear tales of daring do as people share their adventures navigating the various methods of trying to acquire it individually from LEGO.
  7. No, I don't think it does. Or it's one or two studs long, but not the full way around. You can see through things pretty clearly on this image: And then note that what makes this really stand out is The Kitchen set on the ground floor, which then means you're getting two of two sets to complete it, so it's closer to $450 to complete it all! Personally I'd keep it open. I don't feel the need to complete it all the way around. The botanical garden however I'd be very tempted to get two of and complete that. It's such a beautiful set. Even though I've already made the Berthil botanical garden. It's no problem having two, is it?
  8. Really like that Land Rover. Very pleased they did it six-wide.
  9. It's also on PAB for about 18c I think. Just had a few arrive yesterday in an order from March.
  10. Genuinely worried we've not heard from Roebuck. Hope it's not a case of fainting in front of the computer! They're planning a brick-build green unicorn goat for Dreamzzz next year. And a goat Patronus for Harry Potter in 2025.
  11. OMG! These new Friends sets are so beautiful. Truly stunning! The rainbow tower complex is fabulous. The botanical gardens truly phenomenal. Just gorgeous.
  12. I like the new Hogwarts Express and Hogsmeade station. Otherwise, nothing feels like an improvement over anything in the past. Once again the Hogwarts section kind of disappoints, given the scale of it. I'm glad they're doing playsets for those that want them, but also pleased that we got the 2018-20 ones, which is what I'll stick with.
  13. Can't see any of the artic sets (other than the ski centre - does that count? Although no animals). Minimal animals appearing in the Harry Potter and regular city sets though. Snake/Nagini in the Battle of Hogwarts, Owl/Hedwig in Hogsmeade station, Alsatian puppy in60398 Family House (and torso with a dinosaur? print on it), Golden Retriever in 60380 Downtown, and someone with the cat ears hair accessory, and a red bird that looks unprinted in 60363 Ice Cream Parlour, but a polar bear animal costume, which is cool! Plus a skate-dude squirrel sticker in 60364 Skate Park, which is so tempting, and I suspect the kind of thing they'd have done for Vidiyo. Shame. Overall, not much at all. So hopefully the Artic ones are good! OMG! The new Friends sets! They're so beautiful! So, so beautiful! Rainbow tower block - white/brown grumpy cat, blue bird, disabled dog. Botanical garden - medium nougat ducks x2 (!!), blue printed butterfly (maybe x4, or x2 with 2x yellow butterflies too), magenta frogs, and unprinted white bird. Stables - medium nougat horse, white and brown horse with new head, blue bird. Catamaran - 2x dark blue dolphins. Sea plane - baby white whale. TV news van - (new?) white owl.
  14. Are we thinking there will be a second wave, given the character omissions? Mostly Catrat.
  15. I really like it. Possibly even more than the pirate one. Now, imagine combining them together for a multi-world themed coaster? Add in a third for a jungle adventure or through ancient Egypt or something and you've got quite a trip.
  16. Not to trigger anyone, but my March PAB order arrived today, in a ziplock bag... Wonderful, glorious parts to add to the castle (torsos, no legs sadly), some animals, space bits, and most importantly of all, the parts I needed to finish a limo MOC for the Palace Cinema. I love PAB delivery day. Such a delight!
  17. Same, I prefer the classic style, but it's the detailing on the Friends sets compared to the new Creator one that feels dramatically different. It is, of course, nice to have variety and levels across the portfolio though.
  18. You are, of course, correct. Thanks! So there is hope. OMG! Just noticed the space baby too. It was already a must-buy, but that's even more terrific!
  19. The spacecoaster looks amazing. Love that. Same great fun as the pirate roller coaster, and the alternate builds seem good too. Less impressed with the main street set. Initial glance suggests it's great, but more than a few seconds and it starts to look plain in comparison with the recent Friends sets (albeit at a slightly lower price point). The interior detail feels lacking too. Sort of a shame, but probably what comes from trying to make something as large as possible for the budget combined with the restrictions that come from the Creator parts availability and 3 in 1 requirement. I can see multiples of these being combined to create something great, but I think some of the MOCs that the Friends sets produced might also beat them, purely because of the wider range of parts included. Looking forward to seeing them though. Pass for me on main street (probably). Must buy on the spacecoaster.
  20. Why would you buy Disney CMFs online when the chance of duplicates is far too high. Although the six pack boxes are available I suppose.
  21. There are a number of Rebrickable models where people have reengineered the older modulars using modern/less expensive parts, so it looks very similar to the original, but is somewhat affordable. It may be controversial, but I don't really like the old modulars, so I'm pleased there's no chance of them being rereleased. Of the first seven, I only have two - Fire Brigade and Pet Shop. I bought the fire brigade recently, breaking a 'rule' I try to have about not paying over MRSP for older sets, as I do like the look of the facade, but compared to modern sets, it's clearly much more basic. Pet Shop I got cheap with a few other sets a while ago. Palace Cinema also isn't great, being honest. But the facade is cool and my children love playing with it. Parisian Restaurant onwards just feel very different (and better) to me. Obviously, all my own personal preference, but sharing FWIW (not a lot ).
  22. They won't rerelease old sets for many very sensible reasons, but a new set as an homage to an old one is very possible.
  23. Same. Not really into the large modern boat hulls, although if the orca does come onto PAB, what do e think the chances of it being under $25 are? Not sure I can get to excited about it. Seal battle packs on the other hand...
  24. They could do, although the margin for error is very small. The heat sealed bags I've seen are sealed in different places along the bag and often at an angle. I don't think they have the precision (or desire) to heat seal a small area above the ziplock. Also, I've found that unless you fill the LEGO ziplock bags, you inevitably fold them, and the white printing makes it hard to see inside. Sandwich bags have proven much more useful for me.
  25. It seems unlikely though, given that they have the Haunted House and Loop Coaster both available, and they've been doing something every other year, roughly. Jedi Jac Penguin lists three completely unknown Icons D2C sets for 2023, so there's a chance, but I suspect it will be next year before we get one.
