This is one cool carousel! Would love to see this turned into a real set!

This is a very cool build! It has a very realistic look. The building technique for the cabin is fabulous!

I love the exterior. The red and tan brick sections work very well together.

I loved this show when I was growing up, and still do today. The kitchen is a great representation of the set from the show. Great job!

My first MOD: 10232 Palace Cinema (non-corner building)
RunnersDad replied to Superfunk's topic in LEGO Town
Phenomenal job with the MOD. Looks better now than in original form, in my opinion. -
You did a great job with those remakes. I especially like the bank and the IGA.

That's an incredibly detailed castle. This is definitely one of the most impressive microscale builds I have seen. Kudos to you!

Sea Serpent Surprise (built by my little bro)
RunnersDad replied to soccerkid6's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Your brother has a lot of skill. His last MOC was quite good for an AFOL let alone an 11 year old! Impressive stuff!- 7 replies

The exo-suit is a nice choice. I would, however, love to see a series of Zelda sets released. Although I am sure that negotiating for the rights would be difficult and rather expensive given the popularity of the games.

That's a whole lotta pink right there!

St. Louis sold out of the masonry bricks in less than a week. I was lucky to have gotten a couple hundred when I did because I went back on Tuesday of this week and they had been sold out since last Friday. The 6x? plants were almost gone too but I was fortunately able to grab some more of those.

Great work, you have created some fantastic mini modulars!

I live in St. Louis. I went on Monday and the manager indicated that she ordered them as soon as she was allowed to place an order. Based on our conversation I can only assume that stores are provided PAB inventory on a first come first serve basis. If you have a manager that is motivated and on top of ordering than you will end up with a better inventory.

Brickbuildr hadn't been updated for several weeks so I decided to check out the inventory at my local store. I was blown away by the selection of specialty pieces that they had on the wall. I found many leafy greens, masonry bricks, tiles and harder to find colors in certain bricks. Needless to say I was thrilled! Thanks. I was around 10 when this set came out but my parents were too frugal to spend money on the bigger more expensive sets. All I could do was look at it on the store shelf and the pages of Lego magazine. As I get older and stumble upon some of these older sets in lots I buy it's amazing how cool they actually are in hand. If I enjoy it this much at 31, I can only imagine how cool it would have been to get this and similar sets at 10!

I purchased a lot of Lego earlier this week for a very fair price. I only looked at it superficially before taking it home but could tell it contained about 15 pounds worth of late 80's and/or early 90's pieces. To my surprise when I got home I noticed immediately what looked to be a plethora of Space Police green glass pieces which could only have been from set 6984! Sure enough after about 4 hours of labor, and it seriously took that long having to sift through 15 pounds of Lego for different pieces, I had a complete set! I only had to borrow 1 piece from my existing inventory which I think is pretty impressive. Still have the rest of the lot to piece together but this already made my week! I recently had a friend of mine give me a box of Lego that his son had when he was a kid. I was blown away when I discovered the contents of the box included all Classic Lego sets! There are Classic Space, Town, Fabuland, Castle, including "The Yellow Castle", and some of the odder sets like the stand alone Kitchen(263) and others. Take a look at the pics. What are some suggestions for restoration of the sets? The website, "Let's build it again" looks to be a great place for classic lego instruction. I have a lot to sort through but have already sorted out what I think is most of the Yellow Castle as well as some of the classic space parts included. Thanks for looking and your suggestions for moving forward are appreciated given that I don't know all of the sets that are included in the lot. Great job bringing the canvas to life! I really like this MOC!

brickbuilder711, that was one heck of a selection you had to choose from! What city do you live in? I live in St. Louis and the store currently has settled in with an average to below average PAB selection. What I wouldn't give for some tiles and large leaves!

That is one impressive MOC! Very realistic and you used some great techniques! Thank you for sharing.

Very cool! You did a fantastic job on this!
