  1. I live in St. Louis and would love if I didn't have to drive across the state to get to a Lego store but I am glad that the Kansas City area got a store as I have a friend that travels to Overland Park frequently for work and is kind enough to stop by the store for me.
  2. You have done an absolutely incredible job with this build. It looks amazing.
  3. Great build...very creative.
  4. You did a great job with the details of this MOC.
  5. This is a very impressive MOC. All the features are amazing. Kudos to you for a great design.
  6. That's fantastic, and being a Runner and coach myself I love it! The only thing cooler would have been to add in a lane number!
  7. What a great MOC. You pulled off the gold brilliantly. Ingenius idea you had!
  8. I would choose the "Yellow Castle" because I really enjoy the castle theme and appreciate this particular sets history within this LEGO theme.
  9. That is an impressive build! I really like the approach you took. Great job!
  10. This is an absolutely incredible build. I don't think there is a single detail that could be nitpicked! Great job guys, this is one amazing MOC.

  13. B-OM-31D Here is my entry into the modular madness contest. I apologize for the pics as my camera is broken so I had to use my iPad. If new pictures are desired I can work to get better lighting and clarity. That said, I choose to create a refuge from the hustle and bustle of city life right in the middle of the city! A small stream runs through the city creating a small lake within the park where people can enjoy their favorite outdoor activities. Of course gas powered boats aren't allowed on the lake to maintain it's health of the cattails and other plant and animal life sustained by the water. There is lots to do as people fish, play sports, and a child plays with his remote control boat.
  14. Here are my newest Mosaics depicting my 2 boys. As with my first one, these are made with varying sized pieces versus 1x1's. I am considering a brinklink order to stock up on these as I have had a few requests to commission work for friends. I hope you enjoy them.
  15. Thanks for the comments and critiques. I have a long way to go in terms of MOC'ing is concerned but I think I have a good start. Sorry about the picture size.
  16. Hey guys I wanted to share with you my first Lego mosaic. I have wanted to do one for a long time and finally got motivated. I choose my 3 month old son Dash as my inspiration, my next will be of my 6 year old,Runner. I think it came out quite good. Measures 45 studs tall x 40 studs wide. I took a couple shortcuts using larger bricks at times instead of all 1x1's and used primary Lego colors because I had enough without the need to order more. Hope you enjoy. Comments are always appreciated. Actual picture.. My mosaic...
  17. What a great scene. Excellent technique and use of colors. I like the little boys face in the second picture after he loses all of his chips!
  18. B-RV-15D Here is my first attempt at a modular home. The top level and roof can be removed for playability and access. I am pretty pleased with my first try and may make some changes like tiling the first floor and tiling beyond the gate into the backyard. Roof sits flush but not in the pic.. 4f42723f Fountain and front door and gate.. ce4e8707 53b0147a Interior.. 97ea8cc9 376bde83 5798b8c4 078e1b8d Thanks for looking. Comments and criticisms always welcome
  19. The greenery is fantastic! Great job!
  20. I really like the pickup truck and the orange car in your final 2 posts. Very nice! There are several great creations in the bunch though! Keep up the good work!
  21. I like it. Very cool and unique MOC.
  22. Thanks for the kind words. I am looking forward to playing around with some more advanced building techniques in future MOC's but I was happy with the way this one turned out.
  23. The idea came to me and I think I was able to interpret it through brick pretty good. I did throw together the rock formations pretty quickly so please excuse the incompleteness of the mountain. That said I call this "River of Fire". The invading army of Knights is after a treasure that contains millions of dollars in gold and precious gems. Only problem is a clan of forest dwelling magicians has held the key that unlocks the treasure for more than 200 years. The Knights have the Magicians on the run, until they come to a river passing. The Forest Dwellers quickly cross the dilapidated bridge and turn to watch for their pursuers. They wait patiently as the Knights approach and begin to cross the hazardous bridge. As soon as the Knights set foot on the bridge the Wizard summons his most powerful fire spell sending flames out across the gorge. The spell is so powerful that it turns the churning blue water into a "River of Fire" making an already hazardous crossing deadly. Explosions of flames send the Knights reeling and kills several of them by virtue of incineration. And at least for the time being the key is safe and the Knights will be forced to recollect themselves after losing several men. Hope you enjoy. Comments and criticisms are always appreciated.
  24. Indeed, it is. Grill being the proper terminology:)
  25. During a trip to Boston last week I was able to get over to the Braintree store to visit the PAB wall. This was my first PAB experience since 05' as I haven't gotten to the Lego Store the past couple times in Chicago. I was confident though that I could get good value in my cups courtesy of the posts that I have read on here. Here were the results Cup #1 Total Pieces = 848 Total Brick Link Value = $68.69 250 x Flat 1x2 Lime Green Tiles 181 x 1x1 Transparent Clear Cheese Slopes 177 x 1x4 Lime Green Bricks 121 x 1x2 Grey Gridded Bricks 77 x Transparent Neon Orange Flames 42 x Green 3 pronged Flower stems Cup #2 Total Pieces = 1291 Total Brick Link Value = $64.94 670 x 1x1 Transparent Red Rounded button brick 187 x 2x2 Yellow Tile 154 x 1x4 Green Tile 123 x 2x2 Red Tile 67 x Transparent Neon Orange Flame 51 x 3 leaf Green plant 29 x 4 pack Red flowers 6 x Large White Fence 4 x Grey Open top trash can brick All in all I got $133 dollars in bricks from $30 dollars worth of PAB. I really can't complain and on top of it I had some really good conversations with the staff members, even having an opportunity to look at one of the staff members personal Lego creation portfolio! Wish we had a store closer to St. Louis, I definitely think we could support a store.
