Quick check: LDD or real bricks?
Jim replied to Mataroa's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I have seen some huge LDD MOCs which got plenty attention. However, maybe making a small MOC in LDD raises the question; why not build it with actual bricks?! I for one like an LDD MOC as well, but not everybody is on the same page, I guess. -
Lego Dodge Challenger '70 R/T
Jim replied to Energo's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi Energo, Very nice creation!! However, your images are way too big. Can make sure they are max 1024 pixels wide, according to the site guidelines. Thanks PS I have changed them to deeplinks for now. -
Hi PV-Productions, It's really nice that your Cuusoo page is online. I really like your work! However, I hate to burst your bubble, but TLG will not release GBC modules. There's simply too much wear and tear on all the parts. At least you can make a lot of people happy by providing instructions, like you did (when I find some time, I will update the GBC index with your work and add links etc)

RC Mod 42000
Jim replied to Ultimatemau's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi Smakdatt, Welcome to EB! Be careful not to bump old topics, unless you have a good reason. Please read the Site Guidlines and Posting Tips and Etiquette. About your question; the best way to collect the parts you need, is figure out which ones you are missing and order them at Bricklink.com. Take care Jim -
DTM - German Touring Car [WIP]
Jim replied to Lipko's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
That's a very nice creation! Looks cool already, even without the body. -
No, I'm affraid not. 500 parts is the max. Maybe you could scale it down a little bit. By the way; not sure whether this is newly built, but it needs to be a new model, so never shown before somewhere.

Recently, they have started at 42000 and count their way up -
Very nice! Interface looks cool. Although customizable buttons would be a real asset! But this is a very nice start.

Technic General Discussion
Jim replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Rebrickable is definitely a good source for great MOCs. However, a topic with a collection of great MOCs and links to topics here on Eurobricks might be nice. A better solution would be to have a section in the Index, to keep everything in one place. -

As far as I know Blue is the new Yellow (or Red) Guess you need to wait a bit for more Green. -
GBC General Discussion
Jim replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yes they are standard lego. However, they are pretty expensive. There are some third party alternatives to be used or balls from the Friends product. Balls like these: http://www.bricklink...nv.asp?S=4470-1 Mostly from the sports series, if I am not mistaken (no expert myself either). Here's some generic information: http://www.greatballcontraption.com/- 1,124 replies

GBC General Discussion
Jim replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I was thinking about collecting all the posted Contraptions and maintaining/updating the index with these posts. Or would it be better to have a single topic (general discussion) with an Index in the first post? (I have locked the index topic and done the latter) I would like to do that, maybe with some help from GBC enthusiasts.- 1,124 replies
