Wind-up motors on Technic models
Jim replied to LiamM32's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Agreed! That's a very nice proof of concept! Too bad the punch tape needs to be long for elaborate functions. But this might be improved with a different style tape. -
NXT problem (keeps beeping)
Jim replied to NORAN's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Cool  -
Indeed, there are different scenarios/reasons. New parts Making new blades obviously filled a gap in the inventory list. Making new (2014) tires improves the look and scale of new sets. New colors Making existing parts in new colors is sometimes mandatory for new models. And I guess sometimes TLG simply doesn't know whether the new part will be exclusive or not. Will we get another model with Unimog tires for example?

NXT problem (keeps beeping)
Jim replied to NORAN's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Is it beeping or ticking? There are two types of reset. Have you tried the long reset? This enables firmware download mode. This might be useful (not sure though): http://thenxtstep.blogspot.nl/2006/06/before-updating-firmware-read-this.html -
[TRIPLE] Factory Line
Jim replied to Omikron's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The video is very nice! It was fun to watch! I really like the robot arm, with the welding nozzle. You proved that bigger is not necessarily better Maybe the wheels look tiny, because they stick out. In the real life examples you posted, the wheels are more integrated in the body/chassis. -
Lego TECHNIC Trial Truck
Jim replied to NXT45's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
You can also use sites like http://www.bricksafe.com/ or http://www.flickr.com/ to upload your files and link a smaller sized version. You can still link the original image so people can open the hi res version if they are interested. -
Lego TECHNIC Trial Truck
Jim replied to NXT45's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi NXT, Welcome That's a very nice picture! Unfortuntaly it's way too big. You need to keep the size down to max 1024 wide. You can read the Site Guidelines for more information. For now I have changed it into a deeplink. Here's a link to the FAQ where you can find how you can embed a Youtube video. FAQ -
I have also removed the WIP topics from the first post. Now it's time to see the entries in the Entry Topic

You are right. I will look into this. I have made a link to the rules, instead of posting a copy of the rules, so this won't happen again. Sorry about the confusion. My bad.

Hi Bison, Welcome to EB! If you use a digital tool, like LDD you can make a screenshot of your setup. This will clarify things a lot, so people can help you better. There are some books and resources on the net, which cover walkers. Might be useful to look at them. Good luck

To be sure; all entries need to be posted in this topic before the deadline: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=87611 I will remove the temporary WIP list from the first post in this topic.
