  1. Ahh okay. And why can't I use my two reviews for the Academy? They have been published yesterday I see your comment in the other topic
  2. Agreed! I will close the topic around 23u00 tonight.
  3. Okay guys, I have unlocked the topic for today! If you already posted a WIP topic and for some reason you haven't posted it in the entry topic....do this TODAY! If some of you know that certain entries are missing, please post in that member's topic to wake 'm up! Or send a PM.
  4. True! I would say having a WIP topic is mandatory for "late entry".
  5. Ahh of course. You were one of the first to post a WIP topic Not sure what to do with this. You should have made sure that the pictures were on a computer instead of your phone. But most of the time I am more of a Yes-man than a No-man, so if there are no objections I can open the entry topic till tomorrow morning, so everyone can still post there entry. I do have a feeling that some other entries are missing as well. Let's wait and see what other members think of this.
  6. This does not compute Are they finished or not? Did you make a WIP topic?
  7. I think the wheels on the 8453 are a bit too small, compared to reel front loaders.
  8. Hi, Since I have already done two published reviews, this might be a bit of a strange situation, but I would like to be in the RA and/or earn those medals as well
  9. Thanks. It's not a professional setup, just a bit more than average. I was lucky to get the lights at a reasonable price and they do work very well, even at night.
  10. Glad you like it! The "lag" is partially because of the connection to the website and performance of the browser. The 42 images take up 16MB. I can double the images, but that will obviously use 32MB. And sometimes the browser doesn't keep up with the animation, so increasing the number of images won't help. I was thinking of making it downloadable. It tends to run better locally. So next time, I might take a lot more pictures and make a download available. I can also try a lower resolution, but that will obviously lose some detail. There's a trade off between resolution and animation smoothness. In my experience, when the images are fully loaded and you have spun the model around a few times, the images are loaded/cached and the animation runs smoothly. Actually I tried to make a turntable out of wood first, but that didn't work so well with the lighting. I needed to edit every images, which will take forever. Best thing would be to have a professional photography turntable, but those thing set you back around 1000 bucks, minimum. And after all; we're doing Lego reviews, so why not use Lego to build something. Now I am thinking about making an NXT turntable, since I have two units collecting dust anyway. I will need a base with several (modifiable) attachments to hold different sized models.
  11. Thanks for the compliments! Can't speak for other reviewers, but when I will do a review, this will be the standard Took me quite some time, but it is fun to do and the appreciation is very motivating. So more reviews will probably follow. And I am working on improving the 360 degree view experience, so that will even be better in the future.
  12. Thanks Philo! And thanks in general for the kind words. Glad the reviews are appreciated. Thanks! I will make sure to include it next time. (I have included it for the 42024, based on Conchas' review)
  13. I was thinking of doing this in the Entry topic
  14. Great topic. Nice to have a collection of Video Reviews. As far as I'm concerned; it might even be better to post this in the http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=85899 topic next time. That way; we have all the speculation, information and (video/external) reviews in a single topic. What do you guys think? I will add this topic to the Technic Index
  15. I had the impression that this indeed was the case. I will look into it. This might take some time. On the other hand; the rules clearly state that the entry needs to be posted in the entry topic.
  16. True that. I reckon yellow will follow pretty soon, followed by black and then red. This is not based on any knowledge, just a wild guess.
  17. Thanks! Me too Took me quite some time, but it is fun to do. I still have some unbuilt models. Maybe I will review them as well.
  18. Nope. The outriggers should not be extended when emptying the container. When the outriggers are extended, the container doesn't hook behind the double split axle pin connector.
  19. Thanks!! I have posted my setup in the other review topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=89088entry1752497 Not very professional, but I indeed did use special lighting.
  20. I have closed the topic and thus the contest! There are some very nice creations. Overall the builds are pretty good, so my compliments. Well done and thanks for participating Further information about voting will follow tomorrow.
  21. Check them out on Bricklink: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=32063 Here are the set its in: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=32063&in=S
  22. No, I am afraid not, I just have these prices. Thanks for the kind words guys!! I really appreciate it. I'm using a kind of Three-point lighting setup. I have also bought a photo cube, but it's pretty big and this does work very well.
  23. I am about to close the entry topic.... If you missed it, please send me a PM and I will see what I can do. More information about voting will follow tomorrow!
  24. I spoke to Nathanael at Legoword in Utrecht. He mentioned we was working on that review. Looking forward to finding out what he thinks of it
