  1. I second that. Since you are not using the sets as an investment, at least have fun with them.
  2. Nathan will probably read this and he know's what he is doing, so if he thinks flood protection is important, he will prevent it. Maybe he doesn't care about it, since it's not a popularity contest website. Or he simply lacked the time to do so. Anyway; I don't think further discussion will add anything to this Technic forum, so I will lock this topic!
  3. For me Rebrickable is about searching a particular MOC to see whether I can build it. And maybe for browsing some other MOCs. Nathan is doing a great job, making such a great site. I don't understand what's the point in discrediting his work and accusing him of fixing the stats. At the end of the day you build a great MOC for the fun of building a great MOC. Showing it to your fellow Technic enthusiasts, getting some well placed compliments and maybe having them build it. Nothing more, nothing less!
  4. It's no problem for him to be a member. Just not advertise being under 18
  5. Hi Thor, Welcome to EB! Since this is an "adult" forum, you might want to edit your post and remove your age Check the Site Guidelines for more information. Your MOC page looks promising!! Welcome aboard So your name is Thor or TechnicKing?
  6. That's great to hear! I totally agree with having the winning entries in a more prominent place. I'm working on a Technic Hall of Fame and the winning entries will be posted there.
  7. Are you guys interested in joining contests without prizes (cash or Lego sets)? Winners get the appropriate tag, frontpage and they will be added to the (soon to be created) Technic Hall of Fame etc. Obviously, I will try to organize at least one (bigger) contest with great prizes, but we could do more smaller contests if they don't require prizes.
  8. Hi Legomania, The question is not clear at all. What do you mean?
  9. Train Tech enthusiast Anticyclone brings us a MOC based on an early design of the French 2-4-0 steam locomotive from the 1890's for the Chemins de Fer de l'Ouest (or Western Railways). The original train that stood model for this very detailed MOC is infamous for the accident at Gare Montparnasse in 1895. Read all about it in the Train Tech forum.
  10. Right click on the image, copy image url. Then click the Image button in the editor and paste the image address. Edit: I tried, but the image doesn't have a valid extension. Needs to be .JPG
  11. It's a very user friendly website (made by Technicmad, an EB member), which will get you started in minutes.
  12. Indeed, create a Bricksafe or Flickr account. Upload your images and link them in your post.
  13. I picked China and everything seems to work fine. Are we talking about the same list of Countries, the countries you are referring to are not in my list?!
  14. Recently I created this topic about Motor Coasting. I guess it pretty much deals with the same question.
  15. I understand, but can you explain (in steps) what it is that you are doing? Which options do you select? Where does the wizard stop for you? Do you get an error message?
  16. And/or maybe Pick a Brick doesn't have online stock management. So they check the stock after placing an order.
  17. Yesterday I have used the missing part service to order new parts and everything was working fine (in The Netherlands). What steps did you take? You go to Customer Service, Select your Age and Choose China and then the option "My new set has a missing piece". Seems to work for me. Where does it fail?
  18. Viper with Hellfire missiles....of course! Looking forward to it.
  19. A Cobra, right? That would be sweet. Very interested in your attempt to make such a helicopter.
  20. Finally had some time today to do some proper building, digitally that is. I started building in LDD and placed an order at Lego for some parts. I give myself a good chance of finishing a MOC/MOD for a change A theme month is very motivating to get things done.
  21. http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=ChromeBricks Check the Wheels section.
  22. Obviously I would prefer Lego rims as well
  23. I would love to see a (third party) selection of different rims to choose from! Yours would look great in chrome or black.
  24. It does look awesome!
