I agree and I already had a conversation with Alasdair. Contest entries are not to be added to the HoF during the contest. Further discussion can take place in the HoF Discussion topic.

Great and thorough review with high quality pictures!! Well done Although the idea of combining PF with Pneumatics sounds cool, looking at your video I can only come to the conclusion that it's not very well executed. Still on the fence about picking this one up. I might, just to complete my collection.

Generic Contest Discussion

I can rename it to "General Contest Discussion". Problem with multiple prizes is that sponsored prizes (by TLG) can only be shipped to max 3 contestants. -

That's indeed something I want to do more often. -

Very true! I am used to making sarcastic jokes, which don't really work online....without a friendly smile... ...unless you use a lot of smileys to cover it up hehe -
Generic Contest Discussion
Jim replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I was/am not a very big fan of Pneumatics, so I didn't think about doing a contest. But since we did PF (SBricks), MT, it might be a good idea for the future. When we do, I like the idea of limiting the contest to non-pf and possibly a restriction on the number of cylinders. -
Since this topic isn't going anywhere, I will lock it. This gives Paul the possibility to create his own topic.....which will hopefully.....discuss the actual MOC PS before creating a topic about an EB member's new MOC, one could send a PM to the person in question.

If you have a smart phone, just make a simple video, with proper lighting. It doesn't have to be fancy. The video is to "prove" your functions are working properly.
-
That's not a requirement. Just make sure your movie has proper lighting, so filming outside is an option.

Technic General Discussion
Jim replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It all depends on the price of course Both are sets with some interesting rare parts (rims, air tank), so I reckon they could be useful. -
You can post any number of pictures in your DISCUSSION topic. Only the ENTRY topic is limited.
-
I know it's a difficult situation. When you are creating a MOC you will obviously reuse techniques or components from a previous MOC. But the idea of the contest is to create a (completely) new MOC and not use 50% of another MOC or 50% of an official model. No worries, you are both qualified to compete
-
There are two entries, which are debatable: 42029 Extended MOD by Filsawgood http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=105617 Customized pickup truck. Toyoto FJ45 by RM8. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=105219 The Toyota is a modified previous model of RM8 and the other is a heavily modified official model. For this contest I will let both entries compete, but for future contests I will sharpen the rules about the MOC being NEW...no MOD.

It's a very convenient feature of Bricksafe O and I wouldn't worry too much about your MOCs not being good enough
-
You have a Bricksafe account, so there's no need to resize?! You can simply link the pictures like this: Maybe that's what you meant, I'm not sure. For me the current color scheme works fine, especially with the white details on the side.
-
1024 is allowed, although 800 is preferred. Maybe you can post 800 wide in your entry topic I really like the fact that you paid attention to the color scheme.
-
You've had almost two months to build, longer than usual. Apparently, the more time I give people, the longer they postpone. I don't feel inclined to extend the deadline.

Looking forward to seeing this baby in action. Like the other commentors, I really like non-vehicle Technic creations. If this works properly, you can count on one of my votes.
