General Part Discussion
Jim replied to Polo-Freak's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It's a relatively new part, which will be used quite often in the future, I reckon. Year Released: 2014 - 2015 I think it comes in very handy. My upcoming reviews will address this part.- 5,504 replies

[HELP] Motorcycle Tire Size
Jim replied to Milan's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Additional Notes: 93.2mm diameter tire / 20.8mm width tire / 75.3mm diameter rim Tire 94.2mm D. x 22mm Motorcycle Racing Tread Part 88517 Wheel 75mm D. x 17mm Motorcycle 75.3 vs 75mm Let me check in LDraw.... In LDraw neither. (but maybe that logical, since they aren't both in MLCad) -

Hi Pete, Welcome to EB! In my opinion you can do without most of the parts you showed. I wouldn't bother getting them, unless you are planning on actually using them right away. When you pay attention to the design of a model, there are basically two options; using Technic parts like panels etc, or using "regular LEGO parts". Either way you are better off deciding what you need at that moment and placing some Bricklink orders.- 5,504 replies

EV3 - Compatible WIFI Adapters?
Jim replied to DrJB's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Unfortunately, the only one compatible is the bulky one. This sounds interesting! -
I don't correct duplicates. Duplicates are disqualified. (if the votes are exactly the same I might correct)
-
My counting software renders the votes invalid, so I usually don't send PMs or anything.
-
I know it's public information, but I'd appreciate it if you don't post prelim results. This might influence other voters. I will edit your comment.

Generic Contest Discussion
Jim replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Instructions you choose from Mocplans for example. Or as Blakbird suggests; the winner gets instructions made for his MOC. Sounds great! Care to volunteer to make instructions? We can discuss the details -

Agreed. This is clearly a matter of a better design, instead of cutting costs.- 5,504 replies

Don't get your hopes up for a (Le Mans) Supercar contests. Neither for Loaders. I am more fan of original ideas with some limitations. Like Seasider said; keeps the mind fresh. That's one of the reasons why I like original entries better than "yet another....". I will add yet another disclaimer to my list of Rules and Regulations, that I close the deadline when I see fit. So the closing date reflects the guaranteed time you can build. After that I will decide when I close it. No questions asked. About the staff awarded prize; I might do a raffle. Randomly select a non Top 3 (or Top 2) contestant who will win the "3rd prize". -
Guess I don't need to check who is number 26 LoL :D No worries. My software will find the errors. But thanks anyway

I have tons of ideas, but TC7 isn't defined yet. Some of the discussion can be found here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=87063
