  1. Yup, it is!! For all members who are wondering when I will close it; I don't the exact closing date. Will be around the end of February.
  2. With 43 great entries, the Eurobricks Technic SBrick Contest has come to an end. Well, almost that is. It's voting time! Visit the Technic Forum and cast your votes!
  3. Technic SBrick Contest This topic will be used as a voting topic for the SBricks Contest. VOTING RULES AND REGULATIONS Voting scheme uses the old Formula One style point distribution (10, 6, 4, 3, 2 and 1 POINT) You need to assign 10 points to the 1st place, 6 points to the second and so one. You need to vote for 6 ENTRIES (no more, no less) Clearly mention the ENTRY NUMBER and the NUMBER OF POINTS per entry that you vote on. If you joined Eurobricks after the start of the contest, you can be banned from voting (when vote rigging is suspected) You may NOT vote for your own entry. In the event of a tie for any place the Technic Staff will decide which entry wins. Our decision is final. Questions about voting can be asked in the SBricks Contest Information Topic. For example (entries randomly chosen): --- comments can be placed above the votes 5: 10 (no comments here please) 6: 6 1: 4 9: 3 7: 2 3: 1 Or comments can be placed below the votes ---- NOTES Please use this exact notation NUMBER: VOTES (with a colon). Please use this thread only for voting. You may explain why you made your choice, but any general discussion should take place in the SBricks Contest Information Topic. Comments should be placed ABOVE or BELOW the votes. Please don't comment on the same line as the votes. 4. I also think that there's great sportsmanship among the members of this board. Every contestant likes to win, but there's also great appreciation for other MOCs. That's exactly what makes it fun for me to run contests (and the voting.....it's part of a contest)
  5. I have discussed things with LeocornoProductions and it's all good. So let's stick to the contest again. Thanks! Unfortunately I haven't had the time to compose the voting topic yet. I will post it asap.
  6. ---- I used to close on Friday, which was inconvenient, since most of you build in the weekends. Therefore I thought about closing the topic in Sunday, but that's not very well defined (can be in the morning, afternoon or evening). So closing on Monday means you have the entire Sunday. When I close on Monday depends on my work etc. So basically I guarantee that you have the entire Sunday (CET) to finish up and I will close the contest after that, which even might be Tuesday or Wednesday if I need the extra time myself. I will make sure to add this to the rules to prevent future discussions.
  7. Amen! That's how an adult takes care of deadlines and real life issues No problem!
  8. Huh? I closed the contest because the deadline was due. In the contest description I have written that I would close the contest on Monday, so you could build the entire Sunday, which I did. This had nothing to do with your PM about when the voting would start. Please stop being anal about the deadline. You had two months to build, so don't pretend it's my fault that you "ruined" your Saturday. To be quite honest; I am getting a bit fed up with this non-mature behavior. Two more days?! I closed the contest on Monday, just like I mentioned in the Contest description.
  9. I have uploaded a video with "Youtube anti shake correction" once too, but the results weren't satisfying either. I guess it's best to keep the video as "original" as possible.
  10. You might be anxious about the voting stage, but please refrain from sending PM's about when the voting starts, or when the contest ends etc. Everything is discussed here. I don't feel like answering tons of PM's I have closed the contest. Voting topic will appear soon! (probably tomorrow)
  11. It's not the 21st of October yet, so Burf beat Marty McFly to it. Hov3rboard isn't Science Fiction, it's Science Fact! Start up your Delorean, set the time to Mindstorms and travel back to the future! Looking at the number of NXT Units, Burf must have found the Sports Almanac
  12. Some entries don't have a Video. A video is absolutely necessary to enter the Voting stage. I will keep the entry topic open for a few hours, but after that I will disqualify the ones without video.
  13. You are right about the Sunday! And I will probably close tomorrow morning (CET)
  14. Thanks! I am not that familiar with Photobucket.
  15. Which image provider are you using? Flickr or Bricksafe?
  16. There's no fixed period. I tend to close the voting when I have time to immediately publish the results. Somewhere between one and two weeks.
  17. Voting rules will be the same as last contest. Old formula one style voting (10, 6, 4, 3, 2, 1) and your can't vote for yourself. Today I will prepare the voting topic, so I reckon we can start voting tomorrow.
  18. Definitely true! Nothing compared to both the Slave 1 or Tumbler.
  19. I feel the same I really wish the inside of the wings where built like the outside (double sides snot wings if you will). For a UCS set it feels unfinished.
  20. While you might be correct, the alternative is that we have hundreds of "should I get this or that set" topics. I think a single centralized topic has more value.
  21. Designer Han is well known for releasing excellent Technic models with full instructions, usually once a year. This year's epic offering is a dragline excavator, a very unusual subject. There are a total of almost 2200 parts, 9 motors, and almost 500 pages of instructions. Surf on over to the Technic forum to read a review and learn what our Technic Regulator Blakbird has to say about. This includes his renowned cutaway renders and lots of technical details.
  22. I don't think we need two separate topics, so I will merge them.
  23. There's a dedicated topic called Which Technic Set to Buy. Please check the Index. I will merge it with this one.
  24. Since we're off topic, doesn't mean you need to continue off-topic. Back to the Mercedes please!
