  1. The "first year in college" period of 18+ I guess :D
  2. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-40748/LegoGlen/crane-mk-25/#details Check this guy out for the motorization of the chassis and keeping the motor count low.
  3. I think they've moved the steering rack in between to use it as built-in stoppers/liimters.
  4. What about the other Batmobile wheels? The 89 ones? And the Thumbler tires - how do they look on this one?
  5. A phone stand can be done quite easily. How much models have you not published yet?
  6. Accidentally I've deleted the pictures from this post. I'll repost them next year.
  7. I can't believe this took 6 months to produce. And many procrastinations, fixes and re-shoots. And I'm already making another trailer out of these parts... Still - a great fun to make a road train and roll it around.
  8. Continuing my recent monologue here I'm reintroducing the 42106G model -> Road Train Car Trailer - or give me a better name for it. For animations on how it works - see several posts above Basically - it's the 42098B trailer without the worm gear and the gear rack. Only 42106 - Stunt Show parts are used. About 90% of them or more. Differences from the original trailer include: - Loading the car in transport position is done by hand by two levers left and right being pushed down together. - Folding trailer stand - no worm gears used here too - Load ramps /like the og 42106 traielr/ and even some gears to have a spinner vibe. - Sturdier railings /made from a lot more than the 15 parts used in 42098B trailer/ - Custom kingpin configuration - fits both 42098 and 42078 /you'll see in the video/ - Additional FOLDING trailer hitch in the back. You can lower it, load a car and then extend it. Otherwise it's in the way. - Daisy chain design - you can chain several of these trailers to form a real road train. - Huge articulation angles both front and back - you can attach it to a MACK and even on a more inward-placed fifth wheel if needed Color coding it was a nightmare but I've managed to make it look like something. YouTube video is still in progress. Gallery is here /if bricksafe works/ -> https://bricksafe.com/pages/kostq/42106g-road-train-car-trailer Instructions can be found here -> https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-87866 Using the 42098B and this the road train transports 3 cars and articulates in two spots. It's also over a meter long. But hey, it's a road train. Good luck cornering and backing up with TWO trailers. Also - you can see how it looks attached to the car transporter and to the Mack. I couldn't find 42098B io so I've took pictures in the gallery instead. Look at them for real impressions.
  9. And he ain't stoppin':D Keep up the good work! You inspire quite some people to find models in the parts laying before them. Also proving that captivating Technic builds are not only supercar ones. Thanks for this as well.
  10. Dual 42117 can be made into this guy above. Instructions are in the signature. Also - 42116 can be made into a semi-Citroen DS looking car with openable doors and hood. And no headlights. The B model had 1, so whatevs. In the pipeline is a not-so-secret anymore combo off-road big-rig truck out of the Max-D and the Gravedigger's parts. I'm still wondering how to route the power of the two pullbacks. It'll have 3 axles, so dual front power, or RWD as the russian off-road trucks do. Dunno yet. Other than that I've populated my YouTube channel with almost all of my mocs. If you're interested you can check them there or scroll scroll scroll above. AAAAAAAAAAAND the long-awaited front-loader video /42116 alt-build/.
  11. Powered up's custom profiles. PF servo rarity. Wheel slippage in 9398 between wheel and tire. Rim to tire ratios. Lack of B models. Wheel fenders/mudguards in so little colors.
  12. Presenting the hovercraft bros:42076 + 42120
  13. Sorry if I've missed a post - has anyone tried Zetros tires on the Arocs model? There's something not-to-scale every time I look at 42043. And it's the tires for me. Just wondering how it would look with the Zetros or the 42124 Buggy tires on it.
  14. 42070 had no return to center either - it used a M motor and a worm gear? to steer. And it had a clutch gear in the mechanism. You could "steer" infinitely.
  15. I guess metallic silver as the F1 silver arrow is too expensive or easy to damage. I've certainly damaged 42104's "chrome" exhausts while playing with it. It crashed under a chair and got nasty pinstripes on the paint. So durability I guess?
  16. or just add some rubber feet (2x1 double X rubber pads, found in 42106 and other sets) to the rear outriggers if there's the space. They grip hard.
  17. Do a teardown video and reverse it. Look at grohl's videos for this @youtube.
  18. Stud.io is a pain in the megablocks if you build something with lot of axles. Also - you cannot easily test the rotation mechanics of meshed gears and/or levers. Create physically if you can, then digitize it, then mod the physical, then re-do the digital model. Then make instructions and reiterate until you hate yourself. Then you're almost ready to release it to the world. Good parts of stud.io -> COPY-PASTING of identical parts - boy, does this save time! If you've made the instruction steps and copy the assembly - you've saved the time to re-do them too. Imagine a repetitive build with 8x sections. You can use the forum to find LXF or IO or LDR files /or the other 3d formats it accepts/ and either compare your build to something or check compatibility. For instance - I'm currently making a 42106 MOC that aims to be compatible with MACK truck which I don't have. Yet I can import it and check the connection points and the scale EASILY. If you're building a c-model - it shows you the remaining parts if you've imported the set's palette. You can SEARCH for specific parts in a build - if you run out of spacers or specific connectors - you can find and re-do a section to "release" them. You can get precise dimensions and weight and parts count for any moc imported in studio. Re-coloring is fast Built-in renderer. Rendering animations can save you buying camera gear for youtube or other demos. Built-in instructions maker, which is decent at its job. Bad parts of stud.io Flexible parts are a pain in the gigablocks It's RAM HUNGRY AF You'll need a external versioning system - save often, and save as new files OFTEN too. Just in case. Instructions take a lot of time to produce. They look good though. Rotations are hard sometimes, you have to hide LOTS of parts so a single beam can rotate around a single pin. Beware Axles are nightmare to position properly without the connect tool Hinges may work, may not work - your luck. You have to calculate gear mesh angles by hand. And the orientation of each meshed axle afterwards. 3x16t gears cannot be placed one below the other if you don't rotate SOME of them. NOPE.
  19. In Bulgaria the liebherr was about 450eu from the main importer. Here we don't have official LEGO store. Yet we get 33% discounts from time to time. This will probably be about 350eu which is 50eu higher than the minimum wage. Yeah.
  20. I'm wondering how much time will pass until we see a 3d render of the car/pickup/truck-whatever you call it/ based on this sole picture. I was amazed by efferman's re-build and upgrade of a set that's not out yet /tow-truck/ 😁
  21. My failed attempt at TC18 is finally visible again - 42106 C model - Big Rig Truck. I've made the truck compatible with the car transporter. Next step is to make my alternate trailer build from the same set work with the Big Rig truck . The 42106 trailer is inspired by 42098's one, but made entirely from 42106 parts. It's manual lifting, no worm gears, and can be daisy chained as seen above. Still wondering whether to make it 2 in 1 - MACK compatible + car transporter compatible or just to leave it as it is. Help me out.
  22. I've made an RC conversion on 42039's B model. As for bigger sets - we'll see, I feel a bit burnt out currently. Feature preview on the new moc - clearly inspired by another of 42098's B model parts -> A TRAILER. It can be daisy chained for ultimate road train experience. Or you can put it in the middle of the 42098B model and turn it into an actual road train as seen below. It's more than a meter long in that config. I've bought a second 42106 and will try to assemble my truck again and check the combo potential between the two mocs. For sure the trailer can tow the 3 other cars I've made from 42106, the JEEP fits too. And all the cars from 42098B too.
  23. Thank you. I'm preparing ano0ther moc out of 42106 which is in the works.
  24. Very kind of you, thanks!
  25. A pullback dump truck out of the Getaway Truck 42090. The bed can be lifted/tilted and it can really dump cargo. You don't see many of these around. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-74503 Do you approve my mad image editing skills?
