  1. That's too bad. The planet sets were some of my favorites actually. I don't care so much for the planet itself, but I loved the mini scale designs. Those were the only guaranteed sets I purchases of SW over the last few waves. I'll just wait for pictures on the rest I guess.
  2. I'll never understand stealing. It is unfortunate that that happened to you, especially since you seemed to have been helping the museum a great deal with foot traffic. I doubt they will ever catch the perpetrators, but we can hope.
  3. X-Wing is the most puzzling since we just got a planet with that and 2012 had a system scale one and then there was the UCS that just came out. Very odd to release another one in that small amount of time.
  4. Those look awesome. How much does it cost to custom print them? I've only really heard of people using decals, which is okay, but printed is always better (IMO). But these look great. I'd love to see them in a MOC to add some variety. Hopefully LEGO will take note and come up with their own official version.
  5. I'd love to see more classic Disney characters in System form other than Duplo, but it makes sense. It is a good fit for that audience. My daughter has a few of the Duplo princess sets, but she has always been more interested in my LEGO or Friends scale, so it was kind of lost on her (she's only 3, so right within Duplo age range). I think if they released more Fairy Tale characters and/or Classic Disney characters they would sell well, at least in our house. But they would have to be in System scale to appeal to the masses. It has been nice with the CMF as mentioned above. We get a simile to them without getting a full theme. I guess if they kept doing that it wouldn't be a huge deal. But I don't see a lot of princesses in CMF since they have their unique/iconic dresses that would be required.
  6. ^ if it is double points, shouldn't it be 640. I thought the Opera House was $320.
  7. It will be neat to see which figures they actually include. I'd love a good mix of old and new figures. I probably have a lot of the classic figures, but I'd take some new "mint" conditions of them also.
  8. Interesting build. I like the curve of the stone roof and how the walls fits snugly against it. I think that is the most impressive thing. My problem is always having something too gappy. Keep up the good work. I would like to see more from you in the future.
  9. I agree, great job on the story and the build. The pictures captured the text/text captured the pictures quite well. I'd love to read/see more. Keep up the good work!
  10. I saw that on brickset. Very impressive. I love seeing large armies. I think I have one stormtrooper from the Luke's Landspeeder set...
  11. That is a great x-wing! Very fitting for the scale. Great job there. I like the nose in the main picture, the one you chose, the most. I really like the furthest left nose on the variation photo, but that doesn't scream x-wing to me. It looks cool though. If you ever create your own ship, that would be a good start. I can't wait to see the vignette now!
  12. With my passive knowledge of the SW universe, the rumor list means nothing to me. However, it's great that we got one and I can't wait to see pictures. Some very well may be promising. But since I have no prior knowledge of a lot of what these could look like, I will wait to pass judgment. Thanks for the list though! That's a huge help.
  13. Survey done. The pieces look interesting. It'd be nice to have official versions, but I rather like the creative ways builders have come up with to give the same effect. Good luck.
  14. It is certainly possible that more tv show licenses will be had in the future, but I think without constant media support they can be trickier to handle. A lot of the shows that they have/had have also has movie support. Maybe not coinciding with the tv show license, but Spongebob, tmnt, Simpson's all have had movie tie ins also. I'm sure there are a few tv shows out there that may be a good fit, but with any animated creations comes lots of new molds and I think the Simpson's will help decide if it is worth it in the long run.
  15. It would be good to get lots of bricks in those colors. I just hope they don't cop out like with Friends Olivia's house with all of the 1x2x5 panels making the build less substantial. I don't care to own lots of 'light flesh' panels.
  16. I like it. Very interesting take on everything. I like that this is modular, the depth seems to add a lot. However, I like the width of the official set. I like the color scheme. And I don't own one, yet you own 4! That's crazy talk. I can't wait to see more.
  17. Looks great. The color and shape look great. The groundwork is amazing. The color scheme works really well together. Keep up the great work!
  18. That is looking great. I love interiors, so you don't need a lot to impress me, but this has staying power. I love the parlour. The furniture looks great. The addition of a library is neat. I love the stair-runner. I can't wait to see the upstairs. Keep up the great work! I really need to try my hand at this. Although I like the dilapidated HH, and my daughter likes the hinge opening.
  19. I will agree with everyone else. The roof is great. Nice effect it gives. You're probably sick of hearing that by now.
  20. I have a show for my local LUG in a few weeks and I was going to display my gate house for the Albion city wall. I was thinking of putting a little blurb about GoH to maybe drive people to the site. Would that be okay? I didn't want to cross any boundaries.
  21. I like that bus stop. I'd like to see some more color on the side walls, but otherwise it fits in pretty well. The playground area is a nice touch, although it must not be too cold out in your winter village. Some people don't even have coats on!
  22. I hadn't seen this before. These look great. Your decals work really well here and the end result shows. I wish LEGO would release official versions, but these will have to do. Keep up the good work. I'd also like to see the decals when it is all said and done to possibly "copy" your idea. Cheers!
  23. I will have to continue the praise of the explosions. They look really realistic, especially for the scale. I haven't seen that movie in a looooong time, so I don't remember many details, but this seems recognizable. Best of luck in the contest. Your other entries were superb and this is a nice finish to everything.
  24. You would imagine next winter wave since they haven't shown any signs of new sets for the next year, but I suppose they might still come out with something in the future. I've seen them on clearance around here, but only the shellraiser set at a Target near me. Otherwise, no one has any of the sets in stores.
  25. In response to someone above, the fact that they are complaining of prices at Toys 'R Us is reasonable. They are overpriced. But LEGO in general can be more expensive than some toys. Not everyone is as informed as the AFOL is on prices/deals/etc. As far as legos...I say that all the time. I was the only kid in my town that played with LEGO, so you think the plural of LEGO is legos and it sticks. Meaning, I still use it even though I know LEGO is appropriate. On here, I say LEGO. In my personal life I say legos. It doesn't bother me at all. It is annoying with the other brands getting shoved under the LEGO umbrella, but it is similar to any other well known brand name -- band-aid, kleenex, etc. If something is quality and well known, anything similar to it will be rated against it. I've heard numerous times that someone bought the latest Halo LEGO set, even though they actually didn't.
