A static monorail goes against the coolness of the original model, though! Maybe a sort of shell can be built around the small roller coaster pieces to allow a large monorail model to still be able to move on the tracks? 🤔

None of the parts are exclusive, so you can always just order them from PAB or BrickLink now.

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Classic_Spaceman replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This is entirely unnecessary, since if they want to tell another Chosen One story, they could just have a new character be a reincarnation of Anakin. It could even be similar to the ATLA Avatar cycle, and we get a new Chosen One every few generations (or one appears whenever the Force falls out of balance). I have heard this leak/rumour; He is a 25th anniversary bonus Minifig, so he has nothing to do with the content of the set (just like Fives’ inclusion in the Tantive IV set). A Stinger Mantis set is unfortunately unlikely at this point, if that is what you are referring to; also, we are never getting a Yam’rii Minifig, if that is what you mean. Agreed. I am personally discounting the opinions of anyone who started hating the show long before it even aired (i.e. certain YouTubers)! -
First one; the second is both too light and too happy-looking for Koska. As for the hair, the only thing that would even be close to her on-screen counterpart is a the King Valkyrie hair with most of the ponytail part cut off. 😬

I do think that it is interesting that the ads (with the exception of the timeline one) do not feature any of the currently-available sets, though - If they are advertising the current Space megatheme, then why do those sets not appear in the ads?
-
Simple build, but it looks like the magazine will give us more lore!

Build is very simple, but I am always glad to see more Space content - Also, it looks like Space will be the focus of the magazine again (with a new comic), so that means more City Space 2024 lore!

That would make sense, and fit with Malak appearing in the R2-D2 set. Hopefully next year! IIRC, the releases of The Acolyte and Skeleton Crew got switched around, so there may well be something already in the pipeline for 2025. -

Sadly all very true. 🫤 The only thing that makes me think that this set is actually real is young Leia’s appearance alongside Ezra, Cal, Fives, Nien, etc, in the anniversary video. As for what it is, do we even know for sure that it will be a buildable creature? IIRC, that info came from the same source as the “more than two eyes” claim, which is almost certainly false (since if the leaker knew that, why did they not also know what the creature was, or at least the colours used if they only saw the parts list?). I am personally not holding out hope for a Zillo/TBB set, since I would expect to get a ship (V-wing, seriously!) before a buildable creature as a tie-in. -

LAAT/i, Coruscant police gunship (though I would prefer an Imperial version), Nu-class or Rho-class shuttle, etc, are all good options. I could also see him being added to something like a Z-95 or Republic Y-wing, since they featured in the Battle of Umbara. He appears in a few episodes of the later seasons, and we still need S3/S4 Ezra and Sabine - A Rebels-based U-wing with Saw, Tubes, Ezra, Sabine, Commander Brom Titus, and a couple Stormtroopers would be excellent! IMO, an ARC-170 would be around $80, so a lower price point than the Dark Falcon. -
They release on a quarterly basis, so the Q3 parts should start showing up in July/August. The Space parts are available from BrickLink, though, so you can get them now without going to a LEGO store.

At least the sets are quite mid (and heavily structured around the sound brick), and not an actual reboot of the Adventurers line.

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Classic_Spaceman replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
An ARC-170 would be cheaper than a new gunship, and a Venator would be a bit more expensive - We need remakes of both, though (along with a 7-95, V-wing, AT-OT (with Bly), Juggernaut (with Gree), and maybe a V-19 Torrent)! I also would love to get a SPHAT and a UT-AT (with Bacara and Galactic Marines), but those are much less likely, IMO. The reason that we want a new gunship is because the one currently on shelves is 1.) a nonstandard variant, and 2.) poorly-constructed (too small and squished-looking, and lacking the smooth sleekness of the on-screen craft). -

I could see him appearing in a gunship, though Wolffe would be more likely in that case. True, but he could appear in any set based on the Jedha portions of the movie (crawler (not hover, in R1!) tank, Partisan X-wing, Saw's hideout, possibly a U-wing, an AT-ST if we do not get an Endor one by then, etc); we would need remakes of the Jedha variants of Jyn and Cassian anyway. Or a B-wing! 😢 -

If you are right, then that means there are no J:FO, R1 (or Rebels), TCW-specific, or RotJ Rebel sets planned for the next 1-2 years. 🫤 -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Classic_Spaceman replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I hope that it does well, simply because I want to see more projects that use LEGO as an animation style. There are only so many times that the 'LEGO-animated movie about LEGO and building' story can be done before it begins to feel repetitive! -
Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

He should have black arms in the set, since the torso and legs designs are for Clint’s coat; he also wears a version of his original Avengers suit, albeit without the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo, at other points in the movie, but if LEGO intended to represent that here (inaccurately, given the scene depicted), they would probably have just reused the Avengers Tower version. -

Somewhat? There are no prominent Quarren characters who could use it, but I am a bit surprised that they did not reuse it for a Mando S2 fishing boat rescue set (which would have given us Bo-Katan earlier!). I expect that it will reappear in the next Jabba’s Palace set that we get. Are we getting him? IIRC we already know the Sail Barge Minifigs, and Tessek is not one of them. -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Classic_Spaceman replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
True, but that is less essential to the overall build (since you can just give the Black Falcons normal flags, as they have in the LKC); the Forestmen shields are needed to identify the castle and make the Minifigs look less like BAM assemblies. -

I mean that the arm is meant to look out of place, for the sake of a joke. It actually might be. Weird. 😐 -

At least the only exclusive element is the sticker sheet, and since we now have printed Forestmen shields, the stickers are only necessary from a completionist perspective. -

I hope that Creepio’s legs are placeholders, and that the final figure has entirely gold legs (we have never gotten printed C-3PO legs without the silver shin, aside from the TFA polybag one), so that we can finally make the TCW/RotS/TLJ/TRoS version! The arm is a reference to the “red arm” joke in TFA. -
Pharrell Williams is not an in-house IP, and the movie is being produced by an actual movie studio.
