  1. You are thinking of 60441 Space Explorers Pack; when the name leaked, we thought it might be a people pack, but it ended up just being a combo pack with the hoverbike polybag, construction mech, and interstellar spaceship. There is a poorly-captured video on Reddit of how the interactive jungle sets work: It looks like the ‘smart brick’ piece can be snapped into different places in the sets (over the teal tiles) to have location-specific effects (lights, sounds). I can live with this, but I would prefer to just get add-on packs with the ‘smart brick’ and some effects tiles (maybe even effects tile blind bags, like the old Nexo shield packs?), instead of the inevitable markup (and simplistic construction) that results from including the interactive parts in each set. 🫤 I also noticed that all of the Minifigs (including the seaplane pilot) have teal torsos and dark orange legs - I hope that this is just so that the ‘smart brick’ can read their unique torsos and play the relevant sounds, and not because the Minifigs themselves have sound chips and the torso and legs are fused together!
  2. They look PDG to me. Some are, but even at this resolution I can also see a number that I recognise from the table football set.
  3. More like $20, since it seems to be the same size as the City Space interstellar spaceship!
  4. The set would not be great either way, but having been reported almost a year ago as a “black spaceship” really hurt the its eventual reception!
  5. Either the Jedi think that they killed a pair of Dark Siders only claiming to be trying to restart the Sith, or they cover the event up to prevent panic/the Republic losing faith in them (and after all, if both master and apprentice were killed, what reason would there be to worry people about a possible-but-thwarted Sith uprising?).
  6. Maybe volcano explorers with this colour-scheme (which I like), but I doubt that this particular set is going to be widely released; the build is too simplistic when compared to current sets (more wildlife rescue than jungle explorers, IMO). I really, really, hope that the only interactive part is the head (or single head-hair/headgear piece), and also that these things test extremely poorly! I do not need talking, battery-powered Minifigs taking over sets! 🤮 It seems that the heads are reversible, so that is not where the sound comes from. I see some tiles (teal/black) that could be sound/interactivity pieces, so maybe the Minifigs “talk” when placed on pressure-sensitive tiles? I hope that is what it is, and not that the torso and legs are moulded together and somehow scan the tiles!
  7. Not really a fan. The ship itself is too small and looks too much like a generic space shuttle, though the gold (not sure if pearl gold or metallic (drum-lacquered) gold; it seems to be the same colour as the visors, but the visors are pearl gold) canopy is really nice. The PDG recolour of the City space helmet is good as well, and the spacesuits look interesting (PDG, but with red/blue hose connectors and a gold logo (not the CS logo, though)). I recognise a number of the heads on the tzompantli, so the new ones are likely not IP-locked. Hopefully the canopy and Minifig parts will end up on PAB, since that is all I see here that I want. 🫤 I might pick one up for half of that, but not more! I feel like this will end up discounted and warming shelves (unless the movie is an insane success), so even if the pieces do not end up on PAB, they should be fairly cheap on BrickLink.
  8. I suspect that we will get some combination of these options, since all make sense; another possibility is that Dark Acolytes are in play (fitting, given the show’s name). Additionally, there is actually an inconsistency in TPM with regard to the Sith - Yoda says that the Sith are only ever two (a master and an apprentice), but Darth Bane instituted the Rule of Two after the supposed extinction of the Sith “nearly a millennium” before Ki-Adi-Mundi’s statement. I can see The Acolyte actually correcting this issue by having (for example) the current Sith apprentice take an apprentice of their own (a Dark Acolyte); the Jedi uncover a plot to reestablish the Sith Order, along with information about the Rule of Two, then eventually defeat the two known wannabe Sith. From here, the current Sith master takes another apprentice and continues their machinations more carefully.
  9. As much as I would love to get a proper Wolfpack tower set (complete with printed shields and flags!), I suspect that this model was removed simply because the Ideas entry is still in review. If/when it is rejected, then the designer will be able to resubmit the model as part of the BDP.
  10. I already deleted the URL, since for some reason I could not remove the link. Clicking it just reloads this page. Relevant:
  11. For when you have a hard time getting your drill up!
  12. Almost certainly IP-locked to DC, so unlikely to return in an in-house set. 🫤 New torso, legs, and shield prints, with reused head, helmet, and sword are my bets. The only way that I can see us getting a new or recoloured helmet/armour/weapon/etc is if the part is already appearing in another set (or CMF).
  13. IIRC, Wolverine showed up on box art prior to his appearance in the mech, so the same may be true for Agent Venom (also, he is an odd pick for just a random character to fill space). I just hope that if we get him, we actually get new head, torso, and leg prints, along with a recolour of the spiky shoulder pad piece, rather than just a new head, existing Venom torso, and Nat/Clint/Sam tactical legs.
  14. I see something like a half-sunken castle surrounded by shipwrecks and connected via ropes and netting; the Humans in the faction live on the upper levels, while eldritch creatures inhabit the flooded dungeons and only surface during raids or attacks on the castle.
  15. We are getting the Batman-Robin dynamic in TBatB, though, and since we are starting with Damian Wayne, that (presumably) means that the other Batfamily members are already active (including Dick). I suspect that the Reevesverse Batman is going to remain alone, just to differentiate him from the DCU version.
  16. True. Maybe they could merge Dick and Bruce’s stories, and have Bruce be the one trained/groomed from a young age to become a Talon, with the twist being that Alfred is part of the Court and the one who killed Bruce’s parents? It would be weird and tricky to pull off, but it would also set the Reevesverse Batman apart from other incarnations (primarily the DCU one), and it could work better than just forcing Robin into the story.
  17. Bane is right at the upper limit of what can be done in a “grounded” way, but it could work; there is something between Arkham bigfig Bane and FoOoR YoOuU, IMO. Steroids exist, so reworking Venom to be a prototype U.S. government PED that wound up in Latin America during one of the country’s many coup attempts there, then subsequently got mixed with street drugs to increase pain tolerance, is not too far outside the realm of possibility. Court of Owls needs to happen in the Reevesverse, ideally as the culmination of the trilogy/series.
  18. LEGO is not bringing back a years-old IP-locked mould for a single potentially exclusive Minifig. IMO, the only new elements that we can expect are torso, legs, and shield prints. I hope that some of the ones that do not win end up getting CMF renditions (the kraken would actually be better as a CMF, since then they could have a crazy squid helmet!). The Depth Guards’ helmets actually bear a striking resemblance to CMF Basil’s!
  19. I can actually live with that, and it feels more likely than reviving a one-off like the Range Trooper.
  20. What mould is being used? The only one that would really work is the Range Trooper helmet, but I doubt that is coming back.
  21. Considering that LEGO’s focus lately has been on reviving classic factions, and given the complete absence of 20th Century factions in the poll (such as the Black Knights or Dragon Masters), I am leaning towards this being a one-off. Fair point; the crow option shows that LEGO is not opposed to remaking more obscure-but-popular factions.
