Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
Classic_Spaceman replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Maybe he could be the centrepiece of the build, with crates, some flames, and a broken airplane wing surrounding him? I can also see the new curved clear stand piece being attached to his back (like Surtur) for Spidey’s ESB move. -
I doubt that Jay will be the main villain (that role still goes to Ras/Ras’s master), but I can see him taking on a similar role to Cinder or Jordana in S2 (i.e. Ras’s second-in-command/muscle).

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Classic_Spaceman replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Not necessarily; LEGO could be keeping a variety of product types in rotation, instead of running a single line consistently each year until it repeats or runs out of material. Diorama sets are still around (see Jaws), so they are not dead either. -
Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

The AoU opening battle set is $100, and includes eight Minifigs and a Hulk; five of these are reuses/overlaps (Cap, Tony, Nat, Thor (new cape), HYDRA soldier), with Hawkeye and Hulk being exclusive. As such, I can see the airport battle having a similar breakdown: New Iron Man Mk. 46, New Cap (torso print), Wanda (Endgame battle reuse), Spider-Man (Sanctum reuse), Falcon (Avengers Tower reuse), Vision (reuse, but with new legs and cape), New Bucky (torso print, reused tactical legs), New Hawkeye (torso print, reused legs), New Black Widow (new torso, reused legs), Black Panther (possibly reused from Shuri’s lab, despite the set being retired); I can see War Machine and Ant-Man being skipped, as they need at least three new prints each (helmet, torso, legs). Ten Minifigs seems a bit optimistic, given that the AoU battle set included three of the same Minifig, but a Bigfig is probably worth 2-3 regular Minifigs, and characters like Clint and Nat can be made with only a single new print each. Additionally, we could get repeats of some of the characters (along with any missing ones) in an expansion set later in the year. AoU battle new element total: 10 (counting Iron Man and the HYDRA soldier) CA:CW airport battle hypothetical new element total: 11 -
I would love that (obviously!), but I am not going to get my hopes up; Space was a megatheme in 2024, so there is no evidence yet that it is becoming a City staple (especially since we got another exploration subtheme in 2HY, as we typically do, with jungle).
-
I wonder if we will see a new exploration subtheme in January - 1HY 2024 is when the Space sets released, but exploration subthemes typically drop later in the year (usually 2HY).
-
Source? If true, then perhaps some of these sets will have spoiler content for the back half of S2, or we will get another series of shorts in January (like the Elemental Mech ones).

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Classic_Spaceman replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
We got a $20 BP in January and a second $20 BP in August of 2023, then a $30 SBP in January and a $20 BP in June of 2024, so not getting any battle pack in January 2025 is a bit odd. That said, we could see May and August releases, so I am not losing all hope just yet! -
Maybe, but LEGO has been doing a good job of expanding out the city part of City lately, so I imagine that we will get some race cars, food trucks, and other civilian vehicles/infrastructure. Considering that construction just got an (excellent!) update in 2HY 2024, I can see some smaller construction vehicles in bright light orange with the new Minifigs showing up in January. Medical is also becoming a staple, so maybe we can get an ambulance (we have yet to get one in the new style as a set unto itself). I would also actually be fine with a bit more police, since we just got a complete redesign of their vehicles and uniforms (more so than fire got), so it is harder to retrofit our existing sets to fit with the new style.
-
Absolutely - The pre-SP2 Space themes have probably the most gender-neutral Minifigs that LEGO has ever produced, with no face detailing beyond the Standard Grin, and no gender-coded hair or clothing! Probably just the requisite mech and 4+ set, though I would really like to see a BTAS Batwing (Minifigs Batman, Joker (skyline reuse), and Robin).

I was not assuming that all of them were keepers - Just Nokt (the only one we have seen). No; I am assuming that they (or at least some of them) will be the antagonists, however, because of Ras’s “Storm Jet” and Nokt’s blue markings (implying that the villains will have a storm theme). I hope so! She (and Skylor) have been missing for too long! And the climber suits, IMO. I personally prefer the route that Dragons Rising has taken thus far with the OG six, giving them the same basic suit design but in each Ninja’s own specific colours. The issue with having a base colour for the suits is that it inevitably makes one of the Ninja (usually Cole!) look bland in comparison to the others. Oh, excellent point! I had just assumed that Jay would break with Ras by the end of S2 (after a “Who the hell is Bucky?” scene with Nya during the tournament), but keeping him evil into Season 3 would be a bold move that I would really like to see! Maybe Jay is energising Ras’s new army (who wear chronosteel armour/gauntlets?)? 🤔

Not yet; only Ninjago and Star Wars have names right now.

A Venom car could actually be interesting if they lean fully into the concept and give the car a face with a giant mouth and tongue, lots of tendrils, etc; just a regular car in black and white (which is more likely, given how plain the Venom mechs are) would be boring. Gwenom would actually be a cool and new Minifig/character, and not a reuse of the same ‘figs that we have been getting for a while, so that is obviously off the table! -

No, that would be the 4+ Thanoscopter! -

It definitely looks black in that pic of the box! I would have preferred that it actually be black, since that is an unusual colour for Star Wars ships, but grey suits a hero ship better. -

A Spider-Gwen car is a distinct possibility, since we got cars for the other two of the Spider-Trio (Miles and Peter). 🫤 -
Nice! I would recommend using either this plume, the short Mohawk piece, or the Minions tuft for their hair instead of just studs; that would look more natural and less blocky/robotic.

2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Classic_Spaceman replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
With 31120 retiring at the end of the year and eight new Creator sets coming in January 2025 (per Fateful on IG), I wonder if we will get another Castle 3-in-1. Maybe something different, like a smaller outpost with a siege tower that can be rebuilt into a boat or a wall with a wagon? 🤔 -
