  1. I just noticed something in the harbour set - There is a (stickered, alas) map of the area that places what looks like the crooks’ hideout directly to the left of the crane. If you have some classic Johnny Thunder Minifigs and/or the CMF ‘fig, would you be willing to show some combinations with the new parts?
  2. If we get a squirrel costume CMF, I could see her appearing in a comic-based Modular (like the Daily Bugle); it would be fun to see her get a mech for the sheer on-brand absurdity, but I doubt that would sell particularly well.
  3. I agree, but I do find it amusing that LEGO either thought that their customers would be superstitious about the number 13, or that the Power Miners themselves would be! I suppose that 2009-2010 was before Taylor Swift had popularised the number to the point that it lost its “unlucky” reputation.
  4. The only MoM set that we got was based on the Gargantos fight, which Wanda was not a part of (directly, anyway); I am also not sure why Wanda’s appearance in the Sanctum furthers the idea that LEGO does not make villains (since that set also gave us zombie Strange from the final battle, who would have otherwise been absent as well). I also am not counting CMFs in the hero/villain breakdown, since we are still missing a number of prominent heroes (Mobius, for instance - Red-and-white Falcon, Scarlet Scarab, Ms. Marvel, Daredevil, etc, are also good CMF options that we have not gotten!). This is an assumption that ignores the popularity of NWH - If there were another NWH-level movie in terms of popularity and spoiler villains, then we would almost certainly get spoiler sets for it! I do agree with this. To be fair, the two AoU sets that we are getting are from the opening scene, so Ultron was not even born yet. I am more bothered by Strucker’s absence, though I am not sure where he would fit. My hope is that we get some more AoU sets next year (a much-needed Quinjet update, Hulkbuster, final battle diorama), and that we get Ultron(s), Wanda, Pietro, non-phasing Vision, maybe Strucker, and some Ultron sentries with them!
  5. I suspect that we will end up getting some (or all) of these, if we get sets for the second season. If we get more sets (~2026), then these are the most likely villains to appear - “Mr. Sinister’s Lab Escape” and “X-Men Stratojet vs. Bastion and the Sentinel” come to mind as easy and obvious picks! This is a very pervasive myth that needs to end: The only villains that we have missed in the past few years have been Dar-Benn, the High Evolutionary, Dreykov, Yon-Rogg, and Ego. Dar-Benn absolutely should have been included given what LEGO is charging for the Hoopty, but given the film’s reception, I doubt that we will ever get her. The High Evolutionary was not a physical threat to the Guardians, so I see why they went with Adam Warlock (considering that themes have a set number of ‘changes’ available). Dreykov is a non-physical villain as well, and he can be cobbled together from existing parts (and he would have been something of a spoiler when the set entered production). Yon-Rogg was a spoiler for the first Captain Marvel movie, so his exclusion makes sense, and our only follow-up sets were an SDCC exclusive and a polybag that both use the same Starforce Carol (I do want to see him and the rest of the Starforce, plus green Ronan, though). Ego the Living Planet was also a spoiler (as he is not Quill’s father in the comics), and the marketing leaned into Ayesha as the big bad; we really need him, but his original exclusion makes sense. As for the Ronan (and Nebula) being absent from the latest Milano, I do agree that they should have been included (especially Ronan, as he is already in production); that said, considering that the Guardians are in their red team suits, Groot is a stick in a pot, and the ship’s name is on the wing, this set seems to be representing the end of the first movie (at which point Ronan is dead and Nebula is MIA). This choice may come down to changes again (using the final battle suits allows the same leg print to be shared), or LEGO may have an additional set or two planned for 2025 (“Knowhere Showdown”, anyone?). Also, excluding Ronan makes buying the Warbird necessary, and LEGO generally does not like cannibalising their own sales.
  6. Patiently awaiting the City police station with 1312 pieces! In seriousness, there actually is a weird bit of numerology in LEGO’s history, though not in set numbers or part counts. All of the vehicles and facilities in Power Miners were numbered (1-16), but the number 13 was notably absent; it should have appeared in the second (lava) year, but the vehicles jump from 12 to 14 without any gaps in the set numbers. 🤔
  7. The official name is “Transparent Florescent Green”, but I can see why PAB filed it under yellow.
  8. My costume guesses: Reuse; Reuse; Reuse (possibly with new legs); Classic purple/red suit; Quasi-reuse (same hair, cape, and torso as the CMF, but with plain legs and a new head print); New torso and head prints; New torso and head prints (maybe a hair recolour, though the ever-present Superheroes hair is more likely); New head, torso, and leg prints (recoloured Hawkeye hair would be nice, but I can see them skipping it); New head and torso prints (maybe new legs to share with Cyclops); Reused hair and new head, torso, and leg prints (assuming lab coat). Magneto was always going to be in the Mansion, since not a single X-Men set besides Wolverine’s mech has not included him! Also, if LEGO had access to spoilers, they probably would have left out Gambit. 😬 We said that about the Blackbird, too. 🫤 I just hope that LEGO gets their pricing under control by the time he shows up! 😬 We could get the red/yellow suit from She-Hulk, which would both give us MCU Daredevil and avoid direct tie-ins with more mature/violent shows.
  9. Both are good, but trans-bright green has a wider range of uses; trans-neon green is very loud, which, as a transparent colour, makes it difficult to work into sets where it is not the focus. I agree; a better name would be “Trans-Neon Greenish Yellow”, but that would probably be too long and confusing even for BrickLink!
  10. Here is one: I think that trans-bright green looks better than trans-neon green for Blacktron II, since it matches the lime on the logo more closely (trans-neon green is a bit too yellow).
  11. Black border, green field, and a split red/white rose! One idea that I have not see floated is a checkerboard design with multiple symbols (similar the the BAM lion/keys shield). This type of heraldry did exist, but the BAM shield is the only LEGO representation that we have of it.
  12. Young Leia was not armed (“packing”), though, nor would be able to fight/beat Jango Fett. There were other hints that did not make sense for her as well, but I cannot remember them.
  13. Glad to be getting Morph, but why no Jubilee?? Do you know anything about the versions of the characters that appear (Magneto’s suit colour, Beast with or without lab coat, do Morph and Cyclops get new legs, etc)?
  14. I actually wonder if that person was referring to Jedi Bob with those hints, since he actually fits all of them (that I can remember).
  15. Oh, I agree! Realistically, Professor X is the only character that does not need CMF-level detailing! I can see Forge's leg being printed, and his boots being skipped; for Psylocke, they can get away with just printing her legs (since the amount of visible skin is fairly limited) and giving her plain arms with black/dark blue hands (as they did with '97 Magneto).
  16. I agree that these would work, but since they have been out of production for around eight years, reintroducing them would count them as “new”. IMO, our best chance for Nightcrawler is in a future Marvel CMF.
  17. Agreed. If we got a larger X-Men wave alongside the Mansion then LEGO could pack it with more obscure/harder to sell characters (Forge, Bishop, Sunspot, Psylocke, etc), and we could pick up the more well-known characters (Storm, Jean, Rogue, Gambit, Morph, etc) in the smaller sets. This is based on Rogue’s Fortnite design (rather than comics/animation), which is why the detailing is odd. Either him or Morph, IMO. I am personally leaning more towards Morph, since they can be made without any new moulds (Kurt needs a new dual-moulded hairpiece with ears, along with a new tail with the arrowhead tip). Morph just needs two new prints (head and torso) and maybe some dual-moulded legs (I can see LEGO going the printing route like they did with Rogue and Wolverine, or just cheaping out like they did with Cyclops), the latter of which can be reused on Cyclops (which makes a new element more likely - See the new tactical legs in Avengers Tower).
  18. I am honestly fine with it not having landing gear, given how sleek the ship is; anything other than small skis would make the underside messy and throw off the sleek profile. Also, since the team clearly has antigrav technology, maybe the ship just hovers instead of actually landing?
  19. I was not, since I am not sure what themes it would be limited to (maybe City, Technic, Friends, and Dreamzzz, like the polybags are?).
  20. But orange spaceman, though - LEGO knows that we would pay more!
  21. That is really low - I was expecting something in the $200-$250 range! Also, I fixed the dates for you.
  22. I would be fine with Storm being skipped as well, but I know that would piss off anyone who missed getting her CMF version. 🫤
  23. I thought as much; they looked like stickers. At least we get a new colour for plain triangle shields (dark bley).
  24. I was thinking of a book exclusive more than an anniversary ‘fig, since partially-cloaked Shadow Troopers are not really an army-builder; regular ones are, but you really only need 1-2 that are partially-cloaked to have a cool effect.
