  1. This is directly related to the system's established characteristics, though. If the planets are passing each other close enough to literally connect, the gravitational conditions nearby would naturally be extremely difficult to navigate (and landing near the waterspout itself would be virtually impossible).
  2. @Lord Duvors Questions and Suggestions, by Planet: Recivec: 1.) How are we pronouncing this - with hard or soft 'c' sounds (I am currently pronouncing it with emphasis on the first syllable, soft 'c's, and the last 'c' with more of a 'ch' sound). 2.) The adjectival form of "Recivec" is "Recivec" (no change). Akharif: 1.) The adjectival form of "Akharif" is "Akharifi". 2.) The silicon must flow! Pixiu: 1.) How are we pronouncing this - with 'xi' as a soft 'sh' sound, or a hard sound and a play on the word "pixie"? 2.) How long ago were the Chimerans created, and when were they granted official Sapient status? 3.) "Chimeran" is the blanket term for all of these newly-recognised species, but each subspecies has chosen a name for themselves (for the purposes of group-identity and agency over their own existences) - The feline subspecies call themselves "Xenyr" ("zen-EAR"). Tehanui: 1.) Navigating the system would be difficult due to its gravitational conditions, with the only ways of entering the system close to Tehanui being either via Æthergate or sublight propulsion from the outer solar system (a ship that enters near Tehanui at FTL would run the risk of hitting a gravimetric distortion and being destroyed). 2.) The adjectival form of "Tehanui" is "Tehanu". 3.) Bionicle pieces/symbols can be used for detailing (in monasteries and other places of worship, for instance, wherein masks could be used as representations of deities/"saints"/whatever figures are venerated in Tehanu culture). Ocquim: 1.) The adjectival form of "Ocquim" is "Ocquos" ("Ocquos Mining" is as realistic a name as "American Airlines"). Cosmopol: 1.) I get the play on the word "cosmopolitan", but is just a bit on-the-nose. I would suggest another one-letter change to "Cosmopoli" (pronounced like "Thermopylae", with the emphasis on the middle syllable) - The reference is still there, but it sounds more like a "real" name. 2.) Could Cosmopoli be an artificial planet that was created by the Gatebuilders? 3.) "Cosmopoli" has no adjectival form. Ebria Station: Would the structure of the station be a cobbled-together compilation of various cultures' designs? I feel like it would have developed organically, over the course of centuries, so it would not have any single cohesive design-language. New Addition: Novarii Sector: A vast, starless, and unreachable region of space, located far outside the Euripides Arm. Documentation of the Sector's existence dates back to the Krassar, but it has never actually been explored, both due to its distance from the Arm and to the lack of any Æthergates that lead there.
  3. Thank you! 👍 Who are the Quarm, and how are they going to be depicted (I.E. what parts will be used)? A thought: If the Quarm were to have some kind of natural magnetic powers, what if artificial magnets are a form of biotechnology that were devised from reverse-engineering Quarm physiology? This would be suitably unique/'weird' for the game, and could serve as a way of merging magic with real-world science. @Lord Duvors @Waterbrick Down e.g. The Quarm homeworld has a dense ferrous core that is surrounded by an ocean of superconducting fluid directly under the planet's crust, and the Quarm themselves have a high level of iron in their bodies. In order to survive, they evolved to have superconductive blood, putting them in-sync with their planet's high magnetic fields - The side-property of this is that the Quarm are effectively living magnets, and, because of this, their physiology has been studied extensively for the purposes of technological development.
  4. I accept your apology, but I have not found you to be unnecessarily-aggressive and "not a good collaborator" - I appreciate feedback on my ideas, as it helps me to refine and improve them. For example, I merged our ideas on the M;Tron faction to a degree, because 1.) I really wanted to keep the magnet element (since that was their main feature), and 2.) I needed an explanation for how a (presumably) large and technologically-advanced search-and-rescue organisation would be funded. MagneTek Foundation: For nearly a century, the MagneTek Engineering Corporation was the leading producer of heavy machinery in the Euripides Arm. Having developed proprietary magnetics technologies, MagneTek dominated both the defence and corporate sectors, building everything from mining equipment to advanced railguns. Less than a year after the outbreak of the Five-Year War, however, the company transformed itself into a high-tech relief foundation. MagneTek's owner, Charles Magnussen, having seen the destruction brought about by his company's designs over such a short period of time, had a change of heart. Promptly firing the CEO and the entire board of directors, Magnussen refocused his company's efforts towards helping the victims of the War. Now a major nonprofit organisation, the MagneTek Foundation uses their advanced equipment in rescue-and-recovery operations across the hardest-hit regions of the Arm. In an unprecedented move, Magnussen refused to sign onto the ITA, citing his desire to ensure that MagneTek would be able to operate wherever they were needed - not simply where their services would be politically-advantageous. As such, the MagneTek foundation is one of the only organisations working to assist and rebuild the devastated Nendara System, in the wake of the disastrous collapse of the system's Æthergate.
  5. IIRC, the initial design had Minifigs, so I assume that the final one will as well (Also, even if it does not have Minifigs (which is unlikely), supporting the model/set would show LEGO that there is a market for more, and more detailed, castle sets). Per the FAQ, prices have not been set yet.
  6. I am not going to get into this discussion - I am just dropping in to point out that the Castle in the Forest Ideas proposal is one of the 31 models being considered for the BrickLink Designer Program. Only 13 of the models will actually be produced, so anyone with a BrickLink account and a desire for more castle sets should support this - Both now, and (obviously) when crowdfunding starts on June 1st.
  7. It does - Pirate Punk sea creatures (which could be referring to the Shark Singer), ETDM "Slime Singer" and "Rave Aliens", Tropicon Flamingo dancers, K-Pawp cats, and Robo Hiphop Cyborgs and "Dance Drones". I hope that we get at least some of these in the 2HY wave. I think that there is still a lot of potential for Minifig characters, so it will probably be like Series 1. Some ideas, for example: - The ETDM "Slime Singer" with a head similar to the Alien Conquest Clingers, a two-headed alien singer, a four-armed alien guitarist (or drummer, alternatively), a classic "Little Green Men"-style alien with a larger head than the Grey CMF and mid-legs. - A Pirate Punk octopus drummer and crab dancer, a Robo Hiphop cyborg DJ with a moulded head/hair-faceplate combination piece, the Tropicon "Flamingo Dancer" (with a new mould similar to the Pyro Viper heads). - A Fantasy Folk fairy singer (possibly with mid-legs), a Discowboy cowgirl dancer with a recoloured lasso (white, perhaps?) and a hat-hair combo piece. - A zombie guitarist for Monster Metal (using Kai's Island hair in dark grey with a black headband), a K-Pawp cat (reusing the Cheetah/Red Panda head in white, for a Hello Kitty-style look). - A Samurap or K-Pawp panda, a Monster Metal vampire DJ (the idea of a vampire being a famous DJ, since they always stay awake all night, is fun and fits the tone of the theme), a Tropicon hula dancer, etc.
  8. Probably. 😕 This is very off-topic, but would it be possible to place a restriction on new members such that they cannot post or link to images until they reach 10 (non-spam) posts? This would dissuade advertisers and people who just sign up to promote their Ideas MOCs. @Peppermint_M?
  9. Wow. 😬 Is there some way to IP-block him, or otherwise prevent him from making new accounts?
  10. BTW, does anyone know who @Chouju X is? They are Following most of us, but their posts are not visible and their birthday is listed as December 31st, 2021. 🤔
  11. I actually can see two possibilities for regular sets: a S.W.O.R.D. rover, and Agatha's basement in the style of the first Sanctum Sanctorum set. The rover could have Vision (reuse) / White Vision (new) / Monica (new torso with S.W.O.R.D. jumpsuit print***), while the basement would have Wanda (new) / Agatha (new) / Jimmy Woo (new torso with FBI jacket print). ***While I would like to get a new dual-sided head with blue eyes for Monica, I would accept a reuse of Maria's head, since it has only appeared in one SDCC set. If LEGO decides to only make one regular set for Wandavision, they can still make a realistic accessory pack: If the regular set includes Wanda (new) / Vision (reuse) / Agatha (new), the accessory pack can have White Vision (new), Monica (new torso), and 1-2 other characters (maybe a repeat of Wanda and some scenery for the build).
  12. Same, unfortunately. 😐 What Google Doc?? @Lord Duvors @Waterbrick Down The Celestials are a significant race in the Marvel universe, so we should probably use a different name. From what you have described, something like "Voidborne" would work and not overlap with existing properties. As @Lord Duvors said, it is a separate universe, but we could probably have crossovers at some point (after the 2.0 universe is firmly established), if you have a specific story/quest in-mind.
  13. I found a slightly better picture of the sets: Shang-Chi definitely reuses the Draco/Kaz head, and his legs are unprinted, so the torso is the only new element in the Minifig. 😐 In the Minifig lineup for the chase set, it looks like the henchman (Razor Fist?) has a standard right hand, so the weapon-arm may just be handheld, rather than moulded.
  14. The MCU Legacy/Endgame sets sound excellent! I hope that the actual builds are as good as the Minifigs seem to be. 👍 The Shang-Chi polybag just leaked on Instagram, and it is disappointing: Reuse of Shang-Chi, with a scaled-down version of the dragon (no additional Minifigs, character-variants, rings, or particularly special pieces). On a positive note, it looks like Wenwu is holding a ring in the chase set, so we may still end up getting the other five rings. Just an aside: The polybag was photographed alongside the other two Shang-Chi sets, all of which are stacked neatly in the image - Therefore, WHY is the photo-quality so terrible?? The person clearly has the sets, so they could take good pictures instead of one that looks like it was taken with a flip-phone in 2007!
  15. There are not, but the app does list the musical genres to which each Minifig belongs: - "Candy Pop": Mermaid, Ice Cream, Cheerleader - "Pirate Punk": Pirate, Shark - "ETDM": Alien DJ, Alien Keytarist - "Tropicon": Llama, Cheetah - "K-Pawp": Unicorn, Bunny - "Robo Hiphop": Robot - "Samurap": Samurapper, Red Panda - "Fantasy Folk": Genie - "Discowboy": Cowboy - "Monster Metal": Banshee, Werewolf
  16. FYI, you can just embed images from another site, like this: I am not sure if this was your intent, but since you have seen the movie and would have needed to look for this picture on Brickset (or another site), your misspelling of the name comes off as intentional and dismissive. It may just be a language issue, though. 😕 I am familiar with the style, but I have typically seen it referred to as a "side-shave", or something of that nature. Also, I am still not sure what "SJW version" means. 😐 OK? It may be another language thing, but you seem rather irritated by this hairstyle - If you dislike it, just style your hair differently. I am not sure why this seems to be an issue for you. 😕 I am not sure what you mean by this: Raya and the Last Dragon is based on various cultures in Southeast Asia, not China, so what similarities there are are fairly superficial. I seriously doubt that we have seen the last of Cara Dune - Just the last of specifically Gina Carano's portrayal of her. She will probably reappear in a book/comic/game/animated series, from which we can get additional Minifigs. Hasbro likely stopped production of their figure of Dune to avoid negative publicity, but they (like LEGO) will probably make figures of her in the future, when she reappears in some other media. What??
  17. Also off-topic, but what, exactly, is "the SJW version haircut"??
  18. Just because something is not a major part of the game does not mean that you cannot work your ideas into a quest, somehow. For example: "A strange monolith with mysterious healing properties randomly appears on a planet. The Hermetic Society investigates, bringing a team of Heroes with them in case something goes wrong. In the process of extracting material from the monolith for analysis, the structure crumbles and releases a monster that the Heroes must fight. After this incident, similar structures begin appearing on various planets across the Euripides Arm - The Heroes are now tasked with travelling from one system to another, investigating the anomalies to determine their origins, before. . . ???" Something like that could be a good starting-point for a quest. They have been, but between holidays, COVID, communal writers'-block/burnout, etc, it is understandable (and, at least in my case, "looking at what is going on in the world" contributes to the aforementioned writer's-block!). That said, @Lord Duvors's historical/political backdrop is complete, and, though I have been a bit stuck in my own writing, I should have some things completed soon as well. We seem to be moving forward, but I understand that the slow pace can drain some of the enthusiasm for involvement. I think that you may be misreading some of the interactions - I am not under the impression that "everyone is just ticked off" (at least I, personally, am not); we are simply discussing and hashing-out details of the game (which inherently comes with some level of disagreement/non-agreement). I actually like the back-and-forth development of ideas, though, as I find that better ones come about through discussion and mutual revision. Also, with the exception of some core aspects of Blackstar and Blackstar characters that I have worked on, I am fairly flexible when it comes to the finer details of the overall universe.
  19. Look at @exabrickslegogo's page, specifically the post that shows The Mechanic (from Ninjago) - The image is in that compilation.
  20. A picture of one of the Minifigs from the Ninjago City Gardens set leaked, and he appears to have an updated version of the Ice Planet torso.
  21. Ronin looks basically the same as his existing Possession variant, which is fine, but I would have liked a new dual-moulded hat/hair piece for him. The Mechanic looks good, and I am glad that we are finally getting him, but, as with Ronin, he would benefit greatly from a new moulded headgear piece. Occupation-wise, perhaps, but his torso is an update of the classic Ice Planet one! Additionally, since it looks a bit out-of-place even for Ninjago, it may have been designed for another set, and is simply being reused here (at least, I hope that this is the case).
  22. It seems to be - Even Amazon only has it (priced exorbitantly) from third-party sellers. ? If you want it, I would recommend looking on Bricklink, as the prices seem to be better there. Considering the last scene of Chapter 16 (2x08) of The Mandalorian, I would not be surprised if we get a new Slave I sometime in 2022 (probably 2HY). Brickset lists the duration of sets' availability, and, from what I have seen, the standard run seems to be ~6-12 months. As such, I would recommend getting 75270 as soon as possible (since it has been out for a year, now).
  23. Your behaviour seems to indicate otherwise: BTW, rank increases on EB based on your total number of posts, not the length or formatting thereof.
  24. OK - That works. ? The Kimerans would be the main, overarching, species of Chima-head creatures, with the feline subspecies being called ‘Xenyr’. This actually works well with some of the ideas that I had in mind. Falco Gray (the character in question) is a master of disguise, so perhaps he developed his skills in order to pass as members of other species (so as to avoid discrimination). In that case, vampire heads can be used for a species called the ‘Valtar’: The Valtar species evolved on Valtar VII - the only moon of an outer rim gas giant to have a naturally-occurring ecosystem. The Valtar are a reptilian race known for their pale, scaly, skin and venomous fangs (though they are not snakes, nor related to any serpentine species). Yasha Rehji (co-founder of Blackguard Security and director of Blackstar’s Operations division) is a member of the Valtar. These look good. ? Would the rock monsters from Rock Raiders, Power Miners, Nexo Knights, etc come from this planet? Perhaps the settlements on these planets could be constructed entirely underwater, as anything built on the surfaces would be destroyed by the tidal forces of the planets’ orbits. Additionally, navigating the system could be difficult, due to its gravitational conditions, and the only ways to enter the system would be via jump gate or sublight propulsion (a ship that enters the system at FTL would run the risk of hitting a gravity distortion and being destroyed). This looks very interesting - How do you plan to depict the inhabitants? Is this Arcadia, and would it also be the Human homeworld? MagneTronics Engineering’s headquarters and primary manufacturing facilities would be located on this planet. This also sounds particularly interesting. ? @samurai-turtle: Do you have any plans for the War Bots/War Bot Network (from Mission Zero)? I ask, because I have some vague ideas for how to incorporate them into some future quest plots, but I wanted to make sure that you were not using them before I developed my ideas any further.
  25. To save others the trouble of searching: The post confirming that 75299 is not the only Mandalorian set coming in 2021 is on Page 24 of this thread.
