  1. Since this will probably be the Robbie Reyes version of Ghost Rider, I wonder if the set will include Quake (hopefully with her Marvel: Rising design, since her comic appearance just looks like Maria Hill). It is a rather unlikely, but LEGO has included AoS material in comic-based sets before (Detroit Steel Strikes).
  2. I highly doubt that - Star Wars tends to form strong, iconic associations between characters and ships (Han Solo - Millennium Falcon, Boba Fett - Slave I, Hera Syndulla - Ghost), so the Razor Crest will almost certainly remain the show's hero ship. Either it will be repaired/rebuilt to look the same as it did before crashing (the ship was completely stripped by Jawas and subsequently repaired in the same episode, so this would not be impossible or unprecedented), or, alternatively, Mando will get a new ship of the same class (perhaps with some minor detailing/paint differences) and name it the Razor Crest II. On a general note (since there was a bit of confusion when the trailer first dropped), the character seen at 0:49 is Sasha Banks in an undisclosed role.
  3. In your view, what is the likelihood that LEGO would delay/cancel these sets, in order to release them (or others) with redesigned Minifigs sometime in 2021, after OW2 comes out?
  4. I am definitely interested in playing! If we are creating our own characters, will they fall into the same classes/use the same stats as 1.0, or will there be modifications?
  5. I think that there is enough new material just in the trailer to warrant at least a few sets - Black Suit Superman, redesigned Steppenwolf, Darkseid, DeSaad (not to mention the possibility of a four-armed and full-visor/helmet version of Cyborg, as seen in concept art and (briefly) the early theatrical cut trailers). Moreover, the Snyder Cut will be roughly four hours long, and between the fact that only about ten percent of Snyder’s footage was used in the theatrical cut, and Snyder’s statement that he would rather destroy the movie than use anything that Whedon shot, it can safely be assumed that the film will be drastically different from the theatrical version. Furthermore, since it will be three (more likely four) years between the original JL sets and any hypothetical SC sets, LEGO would be able to update and improve upon the designs, as well as fill gaps left in the original line - An Amazonian vault set would be a better army-builder than the Atlantean one was (and could act as a soft tie-in with Wonder Woman 1984), new wedge and slope pieces can be used to better capture the angles of the Batmobile, the Outrider neck-bracket and ever-present Iron Man helmet could be used for Cyborg (provided that the helmet is not a Disney exclusive), Aquaman can get an accurate torso, etc. And, since the 2016/2017 Minifigs for Batman, the Flash, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, and the Parademons can be reused for SC sets, LEGO would have more mould/print slots for new and redesigned characters. There are a number of reasons why the 2017 JL sets would not have sold well - The film’s poor reception is one of them, but the sets themselves are not very good either. The Battle of Atlantis is sparse and flimsy (even at parts that are not intended to fall apart), as well as inaccurate (Parademons do not appear in this scene, Aquaman should be shirtless, Mera is absent). It seems to have been intended as a sort-of army-builder, but the Atlantean guards barely appear in the movie. The Flying Fox lacks detailing, play-features, and an interior. Moreover, the proportions are ‘off’, making the set look even blockier than its film counterpart. The Batmobile that is included is good, but a nearly-identical version was released only a year earlier at a more affordable price (and the JL-specific details can easily be modded onto the 2016 version). As for the Minifigs, Superman and Wonder Woman are reused from the BvS line (Superman is a downgrade from the BvS Batwing version, which has red boots) and Steppenwolf is a poor rendition of a bad design, thus making Cyborg the only desirable aspect of the set - And not worth $130 to get. The Knightcrawler is the best-designed of the three, but even it is not great - The design fails to capture the smooth, angled design seen in the film, and the legs lack the proper articulation for the model to actually crawl (it can only roll or pose). Additionally, at $50, the set needs another Minifig - Particularly since 76085 had four at $20. I disagree. First, LEGO has made sets based upon streaming-exclusive media before (The Mandalorian), so that does not seem to be a barrier. Second, if what has been said about the film is even mostly true, the Snyder Cut would be a different movie, not simply a longer version of an existing one. Third, the social media hype surrounding the Snyder Cut’s potential (and now confirmed) existence and release has made it mainstream enough that sets would definitely sell (See also: 501st Battle Pack).
  6. Kate Bishop was just revealed as the newest character in the Square Enix Avengers game, which may increase our chances of getting her (before the D+ Hawkeye series, that is), since most of LEGO’s recent Avengers Minifigs are based largely on their game counterparts. As a side note, one of the Minifigs in the 60271 City Main Square set has a hearing aid print, so hopefully future comic/game-based versions of Clint will have one as well (since LEGO can print the sides of heads, now).
  7. The Demon Bull King from Monkie Kid has at least three of these canopies in Trans-Neon Orange.
  8. Ah. In that case, I agree - I thought that you were referring to the Sentai Minifig.
  9. I forgot about that, but I was referring to her never having green as her main colour (the torso in question is still mostly black/red). The Sentai Minifig looks like a version of Lloyd with the wrong head/hair, if not for the curves printed on the torso.
  10. She looks similar, but the hair is very different and Nya has never been associated with the colour green.
  11. I think that it was, though. If LEGO had Monkey Kid scheduled for Summer 2020 and “Super Warriors” for Winter 2021, pushing the Sentai theme’s release to Summer 2020 to replace MK would only cost LEGO a few months (and by this point, the theme’s development would essentially be finished). Additionally, if LEGO had a nearly-complete Sentai theme planned for 2021, the Super Warrior CMF makes more sense. So do I, and because of the precedent set by Voltron, a Megazord-type feature is a possibility. If you are referring to the white-and-green Minifig with the helmet and dragon motif (rather than the all-white one with robes), I disagree. This Minifig looks obviously like one of LEGO’s colour-coded action theme heroes (See Ninjago, Nexo Knights) - Not a villain (particularly not a demonic one).
  12. Are we certain that this Minifig is from Monkey Kid? The aesthetic fits Ninjago better than what we have seen of MK, but since Ninjago is historical-fantasy/D&D-based this year (and if it were to have a Green Dragon Ranger, it would be Lloyd), that is unlikely. The other MK heroes that we have seen appear to be wearing regular clothing, rather than colour-coded team suits, so this Minifig feels out-of-place. Furthermore, since MK is rumoured to be based upon Chinese folklore (in order to appeal to a Chinese market, who may feel that Ninjago is too Japanese-inspired), I find it unlikely that LEGO would include a Sentai character, since Sentai is a well-known Japanese genre. I think that this Minifig is actually from a different (Sentai-inspired) theme, and that Monkey Kid has been temporarily shelved (which would explain the general lack of information regarding the theme). Perhaps LEGO wanted to unveil MK at an event in China, and are waiting until Covid-19 subsides in order to do so. Alternatively, LEGO may be concerned about backlash from a vocal (racist) minority over releasing a heavily Chinese-inspired theme in the midst of the "Chinese Virus" pandemic, so they may have delayed MK and replaced it with a Sentai theme (which most Americans are likely just to associate with Power Rangers).
  13. I apologise for disappearing - Covid-19 has been extremely disruptive! ? Agreed - I am also interested in taking part in more test missions! ? Additionally, I have some ideas for improvements (such as Starting Class Kits, Abilities (rather than Spells), modifications to character-structure, etc), in addition to general game notes, that I will post once finished.
  14. Interesting. . . We never saw what the Cydonians actually looked like, and they must have a reason for incorporating self-destruct systems into their suits. They might be trying to hide their true nature - Non-Humans, droids, or something like that. I’ll see if I can get anything out of the debris. <En’kaas A’ti-Xia - A’yaalan: Ab-En’akan> [“Scan Them - Analyse: Reconstruct”] OoC: New Stats:
  15. OoC: I have mainly been using Yelana’s visor as a way to avoid clunky exposition/descriptions, and as an in-universe explanation for game-mechanics (such as the Battle Grid).
  16. OoC: The wording of the post was intentionally ambiguous, but it does allow for the image not to be simply mental. Additionally, Yelana mentioned that her visor would have detected a psychic field around the dreadnought, if one were in use, so she probably also has the capability to record psychic images to some extent. Emphasis mine:
  17. Kleeck: You and Dunola should target the Cloak Trooper - Leave the Captain to me. <Gar'A'ti Ba-Gat'a> ["Target Locked"] And you're not from that caste, are you? <Xi'adat Ab-En'akan - Zh'ekor> ["Data Playback - Project"]
  18. Ah. OK. This is something that needs to be rectified for the finalised game!
  19. OK. I had responded to the battle-action, instead of asking, since I did not want to tie up the battle with a question to which I already knew the answer. I agree that in-character strategising is a good idea, however. ? @Endgame: Is this true? I was under the impression that these Proficiencies were something added (similar to weapon Proficiencies).
  20. I suppose. . . Have you ever seen the Great Sovereign, or is it considered heresy for even Cydonians to look at it?
  21. Oh. . . Uh, Hi. Nice move - Still never caught your name. . . This isn't ending well for us, is it? I didn't think so. If we're going to die, I'd like to know why - What's the 'Great Sovereign', and why's it so important? Enson: Teleport the Captain to A4 - Tester-Three and I can finish her off there. I'll cast 'Obfuscate' on her for now, though. OoC: In Yelana's interaction with the Cydonian Captain, the underlined text is a Deception check (If the Captain thinks that Yelana expects to die, she may provide more information about the Great Sovereign).
  22. @Endgame: I am OK - I have just been having a busy week! Thank you for checking, though. ? If Super Plasma Potions could be used on enemies (which I am not sure that they can), it would completely restore their health, in addition to poisoning them, so this would probably not be a good strategy! If you plan to teleport someone, you should target the Captain, not Dunola, to move her out of melee range. I will try casting Obfuscate (though I am not sure what, exactly, it does).
  23. I think that the Captain is female. @Goliath, @Endgame: Did we decide on which diagonal system to use? C1 can only hit the Captain under the Grid 2 (any diagonal) system. @Endgame: I have a few questions. 1.) Does switching between weapons (or, in Yelana's case, switching between modes) use a turn? I think so, but I wanted to be sure. 2.) Can non-weapon/spell Proficiencies be used in interactions during battles (e.g. Deception, Perception, etc)? I ask, because I have a multi-Proficiency check in-mind.
  24. I apologise for the situation in the shiplot. We were asked to clean out an infested ship, and things got messier than we’d anticipated. As for black-market dealings, our mission to Gnorra was explicitly to put a stop to an illegal auction, and to recover an object stolen and brought to Gnorra to sell. We succeeded in recovering the stolen object, and multiple organisers of the auction were killed in our doing so. We believe that most of the attendees, along with one or two of the organisers, managed to escape - However, we can provide details of the location of the auction-site, as well as of the appearances of the fugitives. Perhaps it is, but humour me. And you are correct - I don’t understand. If, by ‘the Great Sovereign’, you mean the crystal, I take full responsibility - I felt it to be too important to be left at the auction, as someone may have stolen or destroyed it after we left. I tried to turn it back over to the proper authorities, but the officers on the street were too busy to deal with us. I apologise for any disrespect or heresy that resulted, as that was the farthest from my intentions. Um. . . Captain, is it? There aren't any witnesses even now. Look at the symbol on my armour - We keep secrets. That’s what we do - And I can assure that your secret will be kept as firmly as any of our others. No, Tester-Three, no - We’re not killing anyone. These people seem reasonable, so I’m sure we’ll be able to work something out. Captain: I apologise for my companion’s indiscretion - He is programmed specifically for combat, so violence is his solution to every problem. If we can reach an agreement, there will be no need for bloodshed.
  25. I chose Yelana’s stats before I knew how the game would function, and before I had settled on a specific characterisation (I actually still had Intimidation in the stats that I sent to @Endgame, as I had initially conceptualised Yelana as more of an aggressive assassin-type character). I already plan to change the stats to something that more accurately reflects Yelana’s updated characterisation, for the next test-mission (or finalised game). My basic outline for the trajectory of Yelana’s career with Blacktron, is that she began as a data-analyst before becoming a field agent, and that she was assigned to Heroica in order to gather information. I think that this can work as a backstory, since Yelana has experience in the theoretical/analytical aspects of technologies such as cloaking fields from her time as a tech, and she is now an active intelligence agent assigned to a mercenary organisation (she never claimed to be an assassin). As for her age, I have not settled on anything specific yet, but I do have a few ideas (depending upon the backstory that I choose to use) - Either older than she looks, or unusually young (with explanations in either case). I hope that this clears up some of the confusion surrounding the character.
